This books opens with:
“Cronuts with blood orange glaze and beetroot macaroons colored the plate like Andy Warhol art. Dessert at the newest restaurant in Seaview was definitely living up to the hype. “Why do they call it a cronut?” Lily asked, her blue eyes seemed larger with her recent blonde pixie cut. “It’s a cross between a croissant and doughnut.” Taking a bite, the Chantilly custard oozed out. “And it’s warm!”
And I am hooked. Forget billionaire sex fantasies! Here in rural Ohio I have been dreaming about trying a cronut for a decade! As I continue to read my mind keeps going back to that cronut and Lord knows I love me a macaroon!
Ok, admittedly I have not read a ton of billionaire books but all the ones that I HAVE read starred sweet billionaires looking for someone to love them for themselves or scarred up recluse billionaires who need to be loved. THIS billionaire is a spoiled ass. I hated him instantly. I, like our heroine, do not come from money. So F this guy and his private jets, Wagyu beef and aversion to hard work. To quote Logan, himself! “Did I really have to be a dick all the time?”
Of course like every good hero he grows on you, but it is a steep climb. What a spoiled brat!
I hope they all get their HEA…….. (no spoilers here!)

Beyond Melting by Missy Walker is the final book in the Sassy Seaview trilogy series. The story is about Amber, a workaholic young lawyer, and Logan, the playboy of the aristocrat Magma Gold Mining Family. Their first encounter is an impulsive and passionate tryst outside of a bar in Seaview. Neither thinks they will see each other again until their eyes meet across the table in a meeting between Amber’s law firm and Logan, who is representing the Magma Mining Company. The romance began with the scorching hot tryst behind the bar to their current slow-burn attraction as they each remember their one moment of uninhibited passion. Unfortunately for Logan, Amber refuses to have a do-over. The many twists and turns with emotional angst amid family dramas. Meanwhile, longings each feel for the other weaves into an exciting fast-paced story. Once more Missy Walker has a wonderful romance with no cheating that ends in a HEA.

Wow, just wow! Amber and Logan certainly had a roller coaster for their ride. This certainly brings to light how the other half lives by their own set of rules. I’m sure in real life it is not uncommon for families to insist on a merger. Dirty dealings abound. I was most impressed with Ambers integrity and loyalty. She came from nothing but her pride and worth ethic are very important to her. She helped the Playboy see the error of his ways and what a big heart he could have. The proofreader of this series needs to be replaced. There are many errors in the book That almost make it distracting.

4.5 stars – Beyond Melting by Missy Walker is about a spoiled rich party boy, Logan and the hardworking lawyer, Amber, who have a one-night stand and then end up having to work together. I loved this book! I absolutely hated Logan and his attitude, but I did feel bad for him being so misunderstood by his family. Ms. Walker did a wonderful job creating a story with a strong female heroine. No spoilers here but this was a good easy to read story with lots of chemistry between the H and h.

Great read, enjoyed the book a lot. Found it slow to start with but really got into it when they visited the mine. Great character development, as I didn't initially like Logan but changed my mind towards the end. Glad he had some depth of character and developed some ethics. Amber was great too, and totally relatable. Good book!

A workaholic lawyer and a playboy.... Amber and Logan's story was incredibly enchanting. A strong chemistry between them, a great plot with some twist you don't see coming. Definitely worth a reread :)

FMC and MMC seem to be vastly different but both experienced their own hardships in their early years, hardening them to love. They inspire each other to grow individually and together. Decent about of spice with a neat and beautiful HEA.
Sad that this was the end of this series/world but it was wrapped up so well.

I'd always wondered what Amber story was in the previous 2 books. Loved her character & glad she got paired with Logan, he's a force of his own. Great read Missy thank you, I believe we need a follow up book on what the 3 main girls lives are like with their new men (the upcoming wedding could be the segway) please, please, pretty please 😊

I really wish someone would have proofed this better. The incorrect words, extra words, missing words, quotes in the wrong places, etc. were painful. It took away from an otherwise good book.

I just love Missy Walker's storytelling. She portrays characters in such a real and deep manner, that it's impossible not to care and fall in love with their journeys. She manages to include hard and need-to-be-discussed issues in a way that they matter. And Beyond Melting, the third book in the Sassy Seaview series, is no exception. In fact, this story is exceptional.
Amber is a young and very-determined lawyer. She is so focused on her career, that she spends more hours in the office than she does in the rest of her life. In fact, she has never dated. She has two rules she abides by: Never sleep with the same man twice and never mix business and pleasure. She regularly has one-night stands, and why shouldn't she? Like with the anonymous yet sexy man who pays for her drinks at the bar where she was meeting with her friends. One encounter in the alley, under the rain, no names exchanged.
Logan is one of the heirs of the Magma empire. He is seen as a billionaire playboy who frequently makes headlines for his extravagant travels and sexy arm candy. But now, he is back in Australia after his family called him back to lead the closing of a takeover. And he couldn't hate more every second of it. Until he meets with the lawyers who are representing Magma. Because the one leading the team is no other than Amber, the woman with whom he had a scorching one-night-stand in an alley the night before.
They will be forced to work, travel, and spend time together. As they get to know each other, they will question their rules and beliefs. While they couldn't have more opposing backgrounds, their strong connection and attraction are undeniable. Their story is filled with delicious slow-burn and passion. Beyond Melting is must read.

A stunning end
Amber, a lawyer driven by rules, is surprised when Logan, the spare Magma heir, is at a meeting regarding the case that could make her career. As the story progresses rules are laid out, more surprises are in store for them, and just as walls start to come down a change in direction could derail everything they are working toward. Missy Walker’s Beyond Melting brought the Sassy Seaview series to a stunning end. I am not sure if I will be able to wait for the next series from this author.
I read this book with my Kindle Unlimited subscription and I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.

Logan and amber story is one of discovery of what love is . Amber has two rule she follows to letter. One never ever sleepwith same guy twice and never sleep with business people she works for or coworkers . Logan thinks no one truly see him just his family name but some how Amber does and it makes him want be better man . Can these two realize they love each other read this book 3 in seven series great read

This is Amber and Logan’s story. I enjoyed this slow burn romance with its surprising twists. Definitely happy I read this one. I received an arc of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
