A month-long retreat of rest and relaxation from my high-powered career is just what I need. Until I’m the only human in a rental home community on a distant planet populated by beings who look like satanic devils. Yep.
And on day three of my odd vacay, two young Hyrrokin girls enter my home and beg me to marry their dad, my neighbor. Somehow their scary-looking widower father, a retired Firestar General, needs a bound and they’ve chosen me as their new mom?
I’ve already received an eyeful over the fence of their alarming and yet unbearably handsome dad, Crydan Flamestone, as he showers each day, fresh off the beach from his morning run. And maybe he’s caught me eyeing his naked red *cough* muscles and doesn’t seem to mind?
This does not mean I’m ready to become my neighbor’s wife or gain an instant Hyrrokin, flame-throwing family. These girls are darling, but I’m afraid they’ve picked the wrong female. What do I know about kids?
Anyway, this guy seems to already have a fiancée.
And she’s all wrong for him.
And I don’t like the way she treats the girls.
Oh shoot. Who am I kidding? Looks like I’m gonna have to meddle!
Author’s note: This is a single dad romance with a fake engagement and no cheating! The OW drama seems high with this one, but is actually low. This is part of a series but can be read as a standalone.
Michele Mills lives in California and leads a life of quiet, G rated desperation with her husband and two sons. In an attempt at a fulfilling, R rated inner life that does not include Disney movies and Nickelodeon; Michele reads and writes filthy romance and, well...filthy romance. And she wouldn’t have it any other way.
Super redundant. I'm not sure if she's just trying to fulfill a word count but jeeshus.
Page 166: "There has never been a hint of arousal from her towards me and none from me to her. I need a female who loves children and wants more offspring. A female who loves Perth and will enjoy flame-fishing. This is not Alys. We are too different.”
...further down, 1.5 paragraphs later, on page 166: "I need a female who loves children and wants more offspring. A female who loves Perth and will enjoy flame-fishing. We are too different. You need to be with a mate who likes what you like and has the same goals and plans. And that male is not me.”
...It's like that frequently. To be fair, that happens a lot in this series, but I thought it was a writing thing that would get sorted eventually, and now its deliberate usage is annoying me. In the words of Lina Lamont--"what do they think I am? Dumb or something?" I don't need things repeated forever and ever to understand them, and it's frustrating to have whole passages repeated.
This was not my fave book. So much time was spent on the whole forced engagement to another woman thing that there was almost no relationship development between the MCs. Sure, the found some shared values, like military and children, but mostly they just seemed to think the other was hot. Instalove isn’t inherently bad, but mixed with the whole sneaking around thing didn’t come across great. The whole “well it’s not cheating if I just watching to masturbate and kiss your neck a little” and the emotional affair was weird, especially when he kept being like “I’m honorable and would never disrespect Alys that way”. And then still thought that about himself at the end. The cognitive dissonance was unreal. Also, where did she end up working? It was such a focal point at the beginning of the book and then it just kinda disappeared. I did like that he figured out his mom was a shit person, but I wish he’d taken point on breaking off that relationship.
Spice: 3/5
Triggers: cheating-ish - forced engagement with another woman and subsequent emotional and physical relationship (not PinV sex), grief from loss of spouse, fat phobia

His Human Neighbor is book nine in the Monsters Love Curvy Girls by Michele Mills.
It’s a fast read that can stand-alone. Though for me I prefer to read a series in order; because somethings carry throughout a series and you don’t have that reference unless you read in order.
This was an enjoyable read. It’s insta-love. I enjoyed our leads and especially our single-dads two girls. They are adorable and sweet. What’s a sexy single alien dad to do when he meets a sexy human that sets his heart on fire then he’s ambushed by his mom with an arranged marriage?
Our leads are enjoyable. Great sexual tension. Adorable scenes with the two girls. I enjoyed the friendliness and support of the neighbors in this quiet resort town.
If you’re looking for a deep meaning full read with character development then this series isn’t for you. It’s quirky, fun, sweet, sexy, and easy to read. Something to pass the time.
This was a cute "Boy meets girl, boy ambushed by domineering mother with an arranged marriage to another girl" scenario.
The inst-love didn't actually bother me this time, and I liked the main characters (even when the male was determined to do the honorable thing). The friendliness and support of the neighbors made the story that much sweeter. I enjoyed this story.
This is an OK sci-fi alien romance, but I did have some issues with it. It gets 3 stars from me.
First, it was too short to have as much character development as I like. I would have liked a little more backstory on both Crydan and Maya.
Maya was likable enough, but I thought her first meeting with Crydan was a little weird. Because his people looked much like the human idea of Satan, she was terrified of them. Then, she was almost immediately in instalust with him -- to the point of spying on him through his backyard fence as he took an outdoor shower. I just didn't buy it, and thought her behavior was completely inappropriate. I get that he didn't mind, since he was also lusting after her, but still ...
Crydan was likable, and I loved that he was such a good father. He had retired from the military after his first mate died, just so that he could spend more time with his daughters. He was determined to care for them as well as his first mate would have. I wasn't crazy about his initial decision to abide by his mother's plan for an arranged marriage (to a woman he had no interest in), but I understood that he felt it was his duty. I was glad when he found a way out of that arrangement, though.
I liked that Maya quickly learned that the Hyrrokin people were not really devils, and liked them and their world. I also really liked that she almost immediately fell in love with Crydan's daughters.
I liked that curvy girls were considered beautiful in Crydan's world, since everyone on his planet was much larger than any human. I also liked that most of the people were openly welcoming to other races, and were fascinated with humans.
My rating system is below. 1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it. 2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws. 3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating. 4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one. 5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.
Maya and Crydan’s story is drama, drama, drama, but yet soo sweet ❤️ I think it’s hilarious she’s a ScreamQueen😂 but she always gives herself a quick lil’pep-talk and apologizes ✅ His daughters, friends & neighbours are wonderful… The Fire Lord (Thayne Ashmoor) should rip the family title and $$$ from the manipulative Lady(mommy/grandma) Flamestone!! 😭😭Be ready for emotional mixed bag at last chapter, happy tears🥳🥰

Maya (h) accidentally ends up on Tarvos when her vacation plans go awry, and after she stops screaming at the sight of Hyrrokin, decides to enjoy her vacation at the beach resort. She finds herself drawn to her next door neighbor, Crydan, a widowed Hyrrokin single father to two daughters, and just as things start to take off in their relationship, his mother shows up with his fiancée. Crydan wants nothing more than to be with Maya, but now he can no longer pursue a relationship with her, unless there’s some way to get his fiancée to change her mind. Lovely curvy girl, single father Hyrrokin-human romance.
From the very beginning this book was full of unintended happenings that led to a fantastic HEA. The author proved that toxic people are best avoided, and you shouldn’t rearrange your morals just because someone else has. The characters were amazing, well except evil grandma, and I loved how they all supported each other. I enjoyed that they found themselves in a little close knit beach town, and I’m wondering how I can manage to accidentally get myself transported there. This book was perfect for the weekend! I am looking forward to seeing what happens in the next book.
This is book nine in the Monsters Love Curvy Girls Series. This story is an next door neighbor single father fake relationship that turns into love with happiness.

Here’s the deal. I’m a mid-sized curvy girl myself, so I love this subplot in my romance novels. This book was a nice read, the only thing that I wasn’t a fan of was that it took them so long to get together.
So I don’t want to post any spoilers but the storyline felt like at times it didn’t revolve around the main couple as much as it could have. Also I did notice some spelling errors at times while reading.
First, I would like to say that I have loved & enjoyed this series by Michele Mills very much & I look forward to each upcoming book. Being a curvy girl myself, it's nice to read books with women who resemble me & not super thin supermodels. These books are good self-confidence boosters.
I liked Crydan, his two girls, Maya & the lovely yet wonderful nosy neighbors. The beach resort on Perth was a gorgeous setting for the story. These were the best parts of the story.
I absolutely despised Crydans' mother & his sort of fiancé Alys & their aristocratic airs. His mother is a nightmare & has no redeeming qualities. Alys is young, selfish & not very likable. These two took up too much of the book & made a lot of the book unpleasant. Before they showed up in Perth, the book was off to a fabulous start, in spite of some grammatical errors. Once they showed up, the book spoiled fast & kept going in circles for too long.
By the time the rotten parts & people were gone, the book was pretty much over. It was wrapped up too fast & the epilogue was too short. For a book that started off great & had so much potential, I was left extremely disappointed.
The phrase is "couldn't care less" but the author keeps saying "could care less". She's used the wrong phrase at least 3 times and I'm only 3/4s through the book.
His Human Neighbour is the story of Craydon and Maya Flamestone former Mizrahi
Tropes: Human x hyrrokin HEA and kids, Hylee and Lylah, Graydon, and 2 other sons who have not been named Age gap (40 and 29) Hot retired military general with a hot bod hero Enthusiastic, kind, pretty and caring heroine Star crossed love (a little, he's engaged and they fall in love) Possessive and protective Touch her and you die vibes Found family trope
She put the wrong transporter chip and now she is on Tarvos rather than Salos when she's supposed to be on her singles cruise but her travel agency offers 3 choices, go to Salos and go on a seniors cruise, stay on Tarvos in Perth and on a beach with a months visa, or get a transporter home and a full refund and some. She takes the third one and the owner comes to pick her up himself but it was really a background check to make sure she wasn't any harm to anyone in the surrounding rooms. While settling she sees a hottie running and it's a hot single widowed dad of 2 daughters, Rylee and Lylah. He goes inside his apartment and is showering and she sees him relieving himself and he sees her during that moment and scent's her. They then meet at dinner time were they have a good conversation and it's like sparks are flying like this man blows on her fire ale to make it stop burning and cuts her food into smaller pieces to make it easier for her to consume. Then her mother and his fiance come to dinner that he does not know off and Alys announces that they are engaged and Maya is heartbroken well not literally but she is a bit sad but the old couple next door Kane and Nerys reassure her that he is doing this to uphold his honour and that he doesn't actually like her. His former bound sadly died from an unknown disease that killed her and made Crydan a widower. He makes sure to let his mother and fiance know of his distaste and that he doesn't want this marriage and the more you get into this book neither does Alys. Alys and his mother never are sleeping at his hotel room and are coming just for dinner then leaving. Seems his mother is going back to her house and sleeping and Kane found out that Alys has a pleasure mate or future bound or smth named Gritton Loadstone and they are in love with each other so he waits for her to tell him but she doesn't and then Maya comes over and they get off on each other like no touching and that next morning he rounds everyone at the beach and Alys and Gritton come as well and they both with much fury from his mother renounce their vows. Alys saying she doesn't want kids and just wants to be an aunt and Gritton saying the same and declaring his love for her and now their bound. Rylee and Lylah wanted Maya to be their dad's wife not Alys, tbh she was a little bitchy towards the kids which wasn't nice. I love how they went flame fishing and you could see how she loved spending time with Crydan, Kane and his kids and how she made an effort whereas Alys did nothing but now I know why, she missed her bound. I hate his mother, like fury hate. I hate how her parents died and her brother as well but am happy she has a family now. I love how this book lightly showed the star crossed lovers trope. In this book you could see he genuinely didn't care about his Baron title and liked to adventure and be free and how shocked he was to see that his daughter's didn't like flame fishing and wanted to go jewellery making instead haha.
Solid 4.5/5
Quotes: There’s a blaster in my face and I’m about to pee my pants. “Crydan?” I whimper. “Crydan, it’s me.” Well, about to wet my panties because I’m only wearing undies and my favorite short nightgown. All I can do is squeak with dismay because a Hyrrokin Firestar General is snarling at me with a puff of smoke and the sound of fire churning in his massive chest. “Maya?” The weapon lowers and suddenly I can breathe again.
I genuinely don’t understand all the 4-5 star reviews for this book. It was very big on “tell, not show” whereas in the first chapters for Maya and Cryden, we just get full on character background for each of them to just immediately establish them. Also some points in Cryden’s chapters where he would just be like “my daughters, Hylee and Laylah” when referencing them after we’ve already learned who they are. Just the constant reminder of “my daughters” when you can just use their names? So clunky.
And the regurgitation of information. Multiple times throughout the book we would get paragraphs rehashing the exact. Same. Information. THROUGHOUT THE SAME PAGE. Yes, your fiancée isn’t a good fit for you because x,y,z. Why are you bringing this EXACT same thing up TWO PARAGRAPHS DOWN??
On top of the regurgitation of information, the dialogue! So many times the characters are just spitting out the exact same thing they’ve BEEN saying, but they’re monologuing?? Like actually monologuing? For real? They say SO MUCH when talking to each other. Why? Am I just supposed to go “ah yes all aliens speak in monologues. Continue.” ??? When Maya assumed Crydan’s wife would be joining them for dinner and he just like…went on a monologue…just, here:
“Female, stay seated, there is no need. Their mother passed away two years ago. I have no bound. I am single and now unmated. My two daughters and I live next to you with only the three of us in that domicile. Kane and Neyrs live across the street from you. So that means there’s now six of us here at this table each night. Before you arrived, at the start of the season, there were only five of us at the table. But now that you’re here there are six. So this table has the exact amount of chairs it requires and you are seated right where you need to be.”
Like….why was this monologue needed. Why did he mention basically 5 times that he is available in the first 5 sentences? And this is supposed to be WHISPERED to the FMC???? At a dinner table with 4 other people around them??? Just a whispered monologue? 😭 like be so for real right now. A very simple, short, “there seems to be some confusion, female(? He knows her name 😭), but my wife has passed away. We are the only ones dining at this table tonight.” Would have worked fine.
There are just sooooo many moments like this with insanely long monologues between characters. It’s just ridiculous.
The ending was also just….ugh. Never mind just the Insta love between the two mains being the motivator throughout the book, but just making the ending being as simple as just “hey I know who your lover is and you need to call it off now” and she just does. Like? And then the only spice is in the last 12% and 5%(FIVE???) of the freakin book?! And it was just shoddy, poorly written spice too.
This is the last time I read a book based on a tiktok (and it was the authors tiktok, I’m pretty sure). Like the premise seemed so fun too. I was so excited as a plus size reader to learn about a series of books with plus size heroines! But gosh what an awfully executed read, and I am not even gonna ATTEMPT the other books in this series. Godspeed to any readers picking up this book hoping for a smutty adult alien romance with plus size rep.

A wonderful Hyrrokin General and his daughters that meet their first human who they like immensely
Maya had discovered that her holiday booking had been confused and had ended up staying elsewhere where she had met her first Hyrrokin aliens who dramatically resembled devil like creatures. When she met her neighbour the fist time she discovered that he was a General who after the death of his mate had retired to care and raise his two young daughters.
Hylee and Lylah both have hit it off with Maya who they spend a great deal of time with going to Jewellery classes, this was something they had done with their mother and had missed it and it was something Crydan had not known as he was away so much travelling to different bases and meetings etc..
The immediate attraction Crydan had felt when he saw his neighbour Maya is the first female, he has had any interest in since his wife who had been his one and only love, he had spent the last few years raising his two daughters and has decided that they are now to be his priority. When he had spoken to Maya she had understood him and had agreed with him and they had been becoming very close until his mother tuned up with his supposed fiancée Alys who has no interest in him or his girls.
When she starts disappearing his overly vigilant neighbour is able to telly Crydan that she had crept out of his house in the early hours and has been showing interest in another male, this has got to be proven as he has no wish to take her as his bonded and his daughters do not like her and she is as dismissive of them as his own mother has always been.
As the story progresses and as I do not want to spoil the plot you will thrill at Crydan’s skill fire fishing along with his daughters, the respect his men and friends have for him also show the type of man he is so not like his mother or prospective mate who are all about wealth and image and titles.
As the group of four spend more time together it is obvious to both Hylee and Lylah and their father that Maya makes them all very happy and she brings them all together as a family and they know that their mother would have approved.
I guarantee that you will be captivated by this story and holding your breath to discover the outcome.
I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read. I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

This a great read and I especially love the girls Hylee and Lylah who brought the whole story together meddling in their dads affairs and hoping that the lady next door would be their new mom. Maya is a human that needs a holiday after her company has been taken over and so she books a cruise and when they send her to Perth on Planet Tarvos by mistake and what she sees is a heap of Red Devils called Hyrrokins and when they offer to fix its she decides to stay in Perth and being the only human there makes her stand out and when she sees a gorgeous male on the beach she couldn’t help but wonder if she should have a holiday fling with him. And as it turns out the sexy male at the beach is her neighbor. Firestar General Crydan Flamestone has retired and is dedicating hie life to raising his girls after his wife died and is now holidaying in Perth when he sees the gorgeous human and their attraction is mutual. When his daughters start spending time with Maya they ask her to marry there dad but she is not sure about it but hey start dating and Crydan is sure she is his bounded mate but when his Mother turns up with his fiancée that’s be chosen for him and being an honorable man he must marry his Alys but thats not who he wants and Alys treats his girls badly and he promised his wife that he would only marry again if she woman loved his girls and cared for them and Maya is that person and so he must find a way to get out of it. How will it all turn out do they get there HEA or does Maya lose the man of her dreams to someone else. Loved it.

Maya is so sick of her job and is so ready for a vacation. But when she is accidentally transported to a different alien planet than she was supposed to have been transported to, she's shocked and scared because the Hyrrokin look like demons...complete with red skin, horns, breathing fire and a spiked tail.
But it quickly becomes apparent that the Hyrrokin are really nice people and make her feel welcome. Not many humans have come to this planet to they don't see many humans but they do their best to make her feel welcome. When she is given a chance to take her vacation on this planet at a nice resort, she decides to do that and make the best of this mix up.
Crydan and his young daughters live next door to the house she is given to stay in and the very first time they see each other, the spark is just there. They quickly become friends and are heading to more than friends when Crydan's mother shows up with a female that she deems worthy to be Crydan's bound ( mate/wife). This really throws a wrench into things with Maya because his mother has every legal right to set him up with a new bound and arrange his new wife for him. But there's no spark between Crydan and this new woman and it seems she has some secrets of her own.
The description of the Hyrrokin people looking like demons with horns and red skin, made me love this even more. I love a scary looking hero, especially if he has horns and ends up being a great hero and Crydan was a great hero. This ended up being such a great read. I highly recommend it if you love alien romance.
Twenty eight year old Maya Mizrahi is taking much needed vacation from her toxic supervisor. A mistake puts her in Tarvos instead of the luxury single cruise she purchased, fascinating with the tropical atmosphere of the planet, she decides to stay at a resort without technology. Her home is next to a retired general and his two young daughters who she is fascinated by.
However, the general, Cryden Flamestone (who is forty years old) is a Hyrrokin who looks like devils: red skin, black horns and breathing fire. His daughters, Hylee and Lyle immediately form a bond with Maya.
But a meddling mother and supposed fiancé cause their budding romance to come to a halt. Most of the book have both of them fighting their attraction to on another as Cryden needs to honour the declaration of his fiancé. The culture of the Hyrrokin was interesting especially the fire fishing part (where the fish can breathe fire).
I thought this was short and fun, enjoyed the body positivity though the writing at times was strange in how sentences were structured and I would have cut the words in some portions. The surnames with stone and flame in them were at times corny.
Tropes: Widower, single father, age gap (older hero-younger heroine, twelve year age difference), fated mates
Maya just wanted to go on vacation, her luxury cruise to Solo has a mishap. She is now on Torvos in a remote part of the planet without electricity. What will she do? Why not, get off the grid and just relax right?
The house she is placed is near a retired General and a reitred couple who were teachers. What could go wrong??
When Megan first meets Crydan Firestone he is running back from the beach to his house. They wave and she is instantly smitten. Is Crydan? you bet your sweet bottom he is. I loved this story and how sweet his children are toward her. But, it's not so smooth sailing after the first meeting between these two. They are both single and he is making his intention clear that he wants her. But she doesn't know the traditions of courting there? Will the party crashers ruin their chances of becoming fated bounds? Or will the community their surveillance them and report back to Crydan so he can put a stop this once and for all and get the bound him and children grew to love?.

Maya accidentally ends up on the planet Tarvos instead of the cruise she’d planned. Never having been off New Earth, she literally faints from the shock of her first ever meeting with Hyrrokins! When the travel company makes her a compensation offer to stay for a whole month in Perth, she takes it! She’s never been to an ocean either, and she falls in love with the tech free beach resort. When she catches sight of the impressive Hyrrokin who lives next door, she’s even more glad that she’s staying. Crydan Flamestone is a retired Firestar General about to become a professor at the military academy. After his bound’s death, he realized that he’d need to step away from his career to better raise his two young daughters. While his wasn’t a live match, he did live and respect his bound and hasn’t sought any pleasure mates—he’s been too busy with his children and really hasn’t been interested. Until he spies the new human neighbor observing his return from a rum. There’s something about her that instantly strikes him. Throw in a meddling and unpleasant mother, two adorable little Hyrrokin daughters, and lots of and this was a really fun read!
A human lady accidentally ends up on Tarvos and makes ALL SORTS of connections. Yup, those humans are a hot commodity around the Hyrrokins and they get snapped up faster than you would believe.
This time around we have Maya and Crydan. Maya's supposed to be heading to a well-deserved vacation cruise, but the transporter sends to Tarvos instead. Being the adventurous young woman she is, Maya opts to stay on-planet at a sweet, sweet seaside resort. As it turns out, her hunky new neighbor is everything she didn't know she needed in a man. With bonus kiddos she likes on sight.
On Crydan's end, he's being pressured to find a new bound, but the woman his mother is pushing in his direction is not the one he's interested in. Circumstances have him accepting an engagement with said woman, but his heart (and loins) have their eye on Maya. A little reconnaissance, some strategizing with the neighbors, and soon Crydan's putting a plan together to make sure he and his children end up with the right woman.
A little case of insta-love and a ready made family. Enjoyable.
A short & lusty age gap sci-fi romance where vacation insta-lust overcomes the obstacles of an arranged engagement and a meddling mother to become insta-love and a HEA. The heroine, 28-year-old Maya Mizrahi, is taking a vacation after some turmoil at work in order to think through her next steps. The hero, 40-year-old retired Firestar General Crydan Flamestone, is a widower on vacation with his two daughters.
An enjoyable short read that most definitely falls in the light and fun category. The heroine's work problems and the hero's single father problems both felt relatable. If I had a criticism it would be that this book felt short. What I mean is that there were openings to give a bit more depth to the characters and story that felt missed (e.g. how do the heroine & the daughters bond so quickly?). Also of note this book includes themes of body positivity. Overall it was what I expected - a short lusty fun read with a HEA.
*****Spoiler Alert***** This Book Includes Violence. None Sex. MF sex, watching each other masturbate.
I'm just sitting here fanning myself because this story was super hot! I loved the build up! Maya and Crydan are instantly drawn to each other. He's a single dad, a widower, with 2 young daughters. They too are smitten with Maya. Everything would be fine if it wasn't for Crydan's mother dropping in to surprise him with a surprise arranged marriage. Yikes! There is not cheating on the main characters part. They long for each other but refuse to be dishonorable. I loved how Maya immediately becomes a friend to Crydan's girls. As someone who has no family herself, she immediately recognizes their loneliness and soon they are best friends. This slow burn between Maya and Crydan was *chef's kiss! They want each other so much and are fighting their own biological reactions to each other. All with a smile on their face to save face with the community. Both were lovable characters! Yes, there is a HEA and I really enjoyed the resolution to the story. Very sweet, spicy and refreshing read!!
I truly love this series. I may not love each book but I have yet to find one I dislike. :) A fantastic part about this series is you don’t have to read them in order. Each book I’ve read in this series explains the culture, species, and planet perfectly so you don’t get lost or confused. This book is no different. Maya is a burnt out human who accidentally gets sent to Perth and the Hyrrokin planet during a transfer. She decides to stay for her vacation here and she meets Crydan and his two young girls Hylee and Lylah. The girls were an absolutely joy to read about and Crydan is such an honorable sexy male. There is great chemistry between the two that stays strong since they can’t do anything while he is trapped in this engagement. It was an interesting plot and kept you entertained while getting to know everyone. The side characters were great as well and I enjoyed getting to know them too. There are just a few minor grammar/word issues and some unneeded repetition of sentences but they didn’t take too much away from my enjoyment. Will definitely read again!
His Human Neighbor by Michele Mills is the ninth book in the Monsters Love Curvy Girls series and it was such FUN!
Maya and Crydan are a HOOT! From the first chapter I adore Maya! Her no nonsense attitude and snark made me grin, and feel like I'd met a kindred spirit. And be still my beating heart, Crydan is quite the male! Bound by tradition and honor and loyalty, he faces difficult decisions he doesn't want to make or summons he doesn't want to heed, but he wants to do the right thing, for himself and his daughters.
This story is fast paced, has some intrigue and mystery, and is all about coming to terms with what makes you happy, and what you're willing to do to seek that out, and hold onto it forever more. Hopefully this book will make you happy, just as reading it did me!
P. S. So, I definitely need a vacation to Perth! When is the next availablity?!
P. P. S. I'm so excited for the next book in the series!
