One woman. Five universes. One mission. The adventure of a lifetime is about to begin.
"Every single book in this series is a joy to read."
Lauren was not keen on time travel. Her friends had visited the past, future and even other universes, but she preferred to keep her feet grounded firmly in the present. But now, a crisis has arisen and she is the only one able to resolve it.
Her travels take her into her own past and other universes, some similar and some very different to our own. Starting with the day the very first time bubble was discovered, she embarks on an epic voyage facing dangers at every turn. How will she cope in 1984 before she was born, in a futuristic world completely dependent on technology, or in a society that's barely reached 19th-century levels of development?
This story is the thirteenth part of an epic series exploring the time travel genre in original and innovative ways. The novels follow the main characters from youth to middle age as they jump forwards, backwards, and sideways into alternate worlds.
Jason Ayres fulfilled his lifelong dream of becoming a full-time author when he left the corporate world behind and published his first novel in 2014. Since then, he has written twenty more books, delighting readers with his signature mix of humour, engaging characters, and imaginative storytelling.
His character-driven tales focus on ordinary people who find themselves in extraordinary situations—whether travelling to an uncertain future, revisiting their past, or exploring alternate timelines. Blending elements of sci-fi, romance, and everyday life, his stories offer something for everyone, with relatable characters at their heart.
Jason’s latest series, set in the 1980s, follows present-day protagonists who, down on their luck, get a chance to relive a pivotal year from their past. 1980, 1981, and 1982 are available now, with more to come.

Having enjoyed all of the Time Bubble series, this spin off came as a pleasant surprise with a new, but known, central character. A series of challenges for Lauren is well written and brings both familiar and new themes. Well worth reading whether you're into the Time Bubble, time travel or just enjoyable escapism. Look forward to the next release.
Having read all 13 books in just under two weeks (I’m a very quick reader) have to say that I have been thoroughly entertained. All the characters are believable and over the series of stories you get to know their back histories and relationships. I have always loved sci fi, fantasy and time travel books growing up with CS Lewis, H G Wells, John Wyndham and Robert Henlein etc and think these tales by Jason Ayers are just as satisfying.
This book was much better then I expected since Lauren was often a rather dark or non-participating character in previous novels. Her elevation to a starring role in this book emphasizes the development of various characters in the series. She is still the hard-drinking, swinging character of earlier incarnations but she has a serious mission in this 'Odysee'' which she faces in a surprising way that makes the reader care for her.
I’m so glad Lauren finally got her adventure!! The Time Bubble series is one of my all time fav. Great book. Great author. I’m eagerly awaiting the next in the series.
I love the time bubble series. It loses 1 star as it seemed to take a while for Lauren’s Odyssey to actually start. Once her adventure began it was a fun and interesting read. Looking forward to the next one as always!
I think I've read nearly all of these time bubble stories, no doubt at some point I'll revisit them. This is the latest one with a little plot twist as normal. I've enjoyed all of them, I hope you will as well.
Absolutely love this series of time travel books from Jason Ayres. The characters of Josh, Charlie, Kaylee, Alice and Lauren are easy to imagine. In this installment Lauren gets to go on her own adventure to save the world. Can't wait for the next book
Thought-provoking, whistlestop tour of the Time Bubble multiverse, drawing logical, intended or otherwise conclusions from projects and attitudes in our time and space. Worth reading for the phrase "Good old Rishi" finding credence anywhere.
This was a fun ride although it did not always have quite the same level of engaging challenges that characters dealt with in some of the previous books. It was still a lot of fun and a welcome read!
