لم يسبق وأن رويت قصص الاغتيالات الثلاثين الأشهر عبر التاريخ، والمذكورة في هذا المجلد بصورة مجمعة بأي لغة من قبل. كانت رواياتهم مبعثرة في العديد من الأعمال التاريخية لأمم عديدة وبلغات مختلفة، وكذلك في مجلدات كثر لمذكرات شخصية، والتي تعَّين علينا أن نمسحها جيداً بحثاً عن معلومات مناسبة وجديرة بالثقة. ونأمل أن يكون عرضها في مجلد واحد أمراً ممتعاً، ليس فقط للباحث في التاريخ، ولكن أيضاً للقارئ بشكل عام، للأهمية التاريخية والنفسية التي تعوّل عليهم.

Covers assassinations in history from Philip of Macedon to Alexander I of Serbia, mostly focusing on the motives and intrigues. The author left out the assassination of president Garfield because Guiteau being a total crank.

Mr. Johnson is not a detached and unbiased historian. His opinions, biases, and prejudices ooze through. Still its a fun trip, just be prepared for some language and opinions that are not politically correct.
