I’ve read everything from this author and this is by far my favorite! I love the world she created, the characters, and all the backstories. I can’t wait to see what happens next with the second book! It’s going to be too long a wait - I wish it was out now!!

This is the first book in a new series that introduces Ayla and the world lives in. The story was interesting and fun and I enjoyed seeing what Ayla does with the choices were made. Would her new plan work was the question here. Lots of fun to read and entertaining too. Lots of action and danger and choices.

I really enjoyed the new world that E. Menozzi has created with this series. The clans are at odds with one another and the gods appear to have forgotten about them. The main character is Ayla, daughter of one of the clan leaders, and her life goes off the track that she had always imagined herself following as she enters into a marriage betrothal. I loved her bravery and faith throughout the book and there was mystery and intrigue as she attempted to sort out her allies and enemies. I will definitely be reading the second book in the series when it's released. I received an ARC for my honest review.
