In a world where everyone has a superpower, his was charm.
Brock Stevens didn't want to be a superhero. All he wanted was to turn his looks and charm into a successful acting career, but the petty revenge of a diva ex-girlfriend crushed his dreams.
Returning to Seattle in shame, he found himself at the center of a world gone mad.
This is the story of the first Patriot. The man who would become the seed from which the West Coast Protectorate grew.
I was expecting a completely different book 3 and still enjoyed this tale of Mr. Handsome and the Patriots founding at the start of the super hero flu. While I can't wait for more of Cue and friends, this was a fun stop. Readers of super hero fiction will enjoy this series.
I usually get frustrated with time travel stories, but doing it all from the past characters perspective, instead of the future minded characters careful use if boot strap paradoxes actually made it a fun read. Definitely a good origin story for the Patriots.
