Not bad, but not entirely good.

Three: 3 extreme horrors by Sam West is most obviously three stories of horror. Extreme horror, no. Extreme, yes.
Terribly edited and just as terribly morbid.
As far as extreme stories go, yeah these were pretty extreme and gory with rape, dead bodies, killing, and even some good twists.
But I wouldn't say I was scared and/or chilled, they were just-
Just. That was all, just not quite there for me, I am afraid. These stories just didn't tick the box for me at all.

Rogue
This was an amazing little read, each story bringing a whole different side of extreme horror. My favourite had to be the second with The Dark Lord, I found in intriguing but at the same time disturbing. Not really sure I'll be able to look at a cat the same again now tho. I found each story has its o own rogue states of distress that brought hurt, hunger, fear, violence and gore to the forefront of the read, therefore capturing you and holding you bound to each word. A fascinating imagination bringing 3 amazing stories to satisfy the requirements of any extreme horror reader. Recommended.

Sam is quickly becoming a must read author for me. These three stories were amazing, especially the one about the girl that puts her cat above everyone. That’s me, I’m becoming a crazy cat lady.

Great read
I think the last story was definitely my favorite, did not see any of that coming. First story was really good, the second was not so much. Loved the way it was three pretty long stories in one book. Sam West is one of my top five authors!

This was fine. I don’t know why self published authors find it too hard to edit. You can’t just run it through spellcheck.
The only story that stood out was the last one. The home invasion. I keep trying to find an end to Tristian’s story, but haven’t found it yet. I will still read this author. But now, I have to pause, one thing keeps happening in every novella that has me rolling my eyes. In EVERY story so far, someone either hears screaming or sobbing then realizes it’s themselves. It’s like Sam’s highlight. Just getting old.
Upon reflection, the second story was pretty funny.

And then the gunshot rang out. She heard it before she felt it, and for a moment there, she thought they’d missed her. But then the pain came – an excruciating agony that blazed throughout her body, knocking the breath out of her and kicking her to the ground. It may have started in her lower left leg, but she couldn’t say for sure because her entire body was consumed by fiery agony. The ground rushed up to meet her, and through the fog of pain that held her helpless in its grip, she was aware of movement, of rushing, all around her.

A fun collection of three very different extreme horror stories, offering a good insight into the writing of Sam West.
My favourite of the three was the first story, about a seriously messed up MC searching for his perfect match. What transpires is a brutal torture porn situation, which is disgusting, depraved, and simultaneously quite a lot of fun.
If you are a fan of the author's work, this will be an absolute winner! For those looking for a quick read to scratch their 'Extreme Horror Itch', you should have a good time with this one.

Three nasty little bits: A rich young man looking for the perfect wife, a middle aged plain woman adoring her cat and some Halloween at the countryside. Of course Sam West can always surprise you with some deranged details, blue meat and brutality. I enjoyed those tales for in between. Really recommended!

Not for the faint of heart.
Loved this book. The characters in each story are well rounded. Great descriptions of each one. They really pull you in. Each story has it's own energy but the last story was really horrific in it's plot. Certainly not for the faint hearted.

Story was good, not bad but nothing special.
Woulda been a 3 star if it weren’t for the fucking GRAMMAR, TYPOS AND SPELLING.
Like was there a fucking spell check done? I think not.
One or two is fine but I was picking up 1-3 each PAGE

Kind of the same plot with all three stories. Sam West needs a recharge on this one.

this just wasn’t it at all
I read it for the cat story and despite it not being all that bad I just wish it was more developed, I would have loved to read a longer version with the dark lord

I had been really wanting to read more extreme indie horror and was happy to come across this one. After reading though I was left feeling conflicted and a little disappointed, I had to sleep on it to sort out what to think of these stories. I wasn’t bothered at all by the gore and it was not in short supply. My problem came down more to how hit or miss the stories were. I actually put the book down for a week and almost DNF’d it after the second story, but I’m glad that I pushed through for the third.
This is an indie title, so I expect there to be some grammatical errors but this book was littered with sloppy writing in every story, especially in the last story. This book badly needs to be combed through to clean up sentences. There were sentences that were clipped short or made no sense and it was a bummer.
