Peter is the yes-man at Hiatt Construction. Richard, his boss, is headed to retirement and has no one to leave the business to, except for his daughter- Ashley- who wants to do missionary work and has no interest in the family business. Ashley is called back home because of unrest where she was a missionary. Richard has decided to get involved in charity work, sprucing up poorer neighborhoods, and throws Peter and Ashley together on the project as a favor to him. Ashley wants to bring comfort to the people she helps, Peter wants to show Richard that he will be a good project manager- neither one of them wants to work with the other and they both want to be in charge. Do these people ever get helped with all this conflict going on? How is the job going to get done if they can't work together? A fun sweet book that will inspire you.

Peter has worked for Ashley's father for a long time. Ashley goes to Africa to be a missionary teacher, when unrest forces her to leave Africa and come home her Dad has Peter pick her up at the airport.

Richard, Ashley's father, tells them at dinner that he is going to start a new missions program and wants them to head it up.

Can the two of them work together and maybe make a life together. Read the book and check it out for yourself. Great book really enjoyed reading it.

A love story develops between a mission worker and a businessman. Will they find true romance or will obstacles get in the way? I always enjoy stories by this author. The characters are relatable and the story is interesting. I received a complimentary copy of the book and this is my personal opinion. No review was required.

Very good Christian romance

This is the third book that I have read by this author. Each is about one of three brothers who find their lifelong partner by trusting in the power of prayer. They have the usual ups and downs but find love in spite of the inevitable misunderstandings and doubts that enter their minds. If you like a good love story, these are the books for you.

Homecoming Blessings: The Dalton Brothers Book 3 Peter is written by Merrillee Wyren. Peter is the last of the Dalton Brothers who is single. Wade married Cassie and gained four step children while Matt married Rachel Carr, a well-known actress, and gained her daughter Erin. This left Peter who does not seem interested in marriage but in serial dating. He was also completely involved in his job. He worked for Hiatt Construction and was working towards taking over when Richard Hiatt stepped down. Mr. Hiatt had no sons to take over and his only daughter was a missionary teacher who had no interest in the business. Mr. Hiatt had been very good to Peter in teaching him the business. Peter trusted him completely and looked at Richard as his second Dad.
Peter was working on an accident where a moving van ran into the window of their business when Richard called and asked him to go pick up his daughter at the airport. Ashley was coming home from her missionary work rather suddenly. The country was embroiled a civil war and all outsiders were told to leave. So, Ashley has nothing to do. Richard has a solution. He has decided to do some charity work with his money and sets up a project section of his company. The purpose is to go out into the small towns of Georgia and help the elderly or poor rebuild their homes. He puts Peter and Ashley together to put this project into action. The problem is that Ashley doesn’t like to be told what to do and Peter is use to telling people what to do. They also rub each other the wrong way. However, they set out to do this for Richard. Why now? Why with Peter?

Ashley and Peter seem to have nothing in common. Peter works for Ashley's father and is is older than Ashley but he remembers her when she was younger and still has her pictured "that age" in his head. He knows she's older now since she's been in Africa on a mission for 5 years but when his boss asks him to pick her up at the airport, he can't believe how different she is now! Ashley is all about helping people and being close to God and living a simple life where Peter is about working hard and although he loves his family very much, he basically just works all the time and likes nice things. When his boss gives Peter and Ashley a combined project working on something that is completely foreign to Peter, the two of them have to work closely together and they both have to see if their opinions of each other are correct or perhaps they need to change. I enjoyed seeing how both of them changed during this project and saw each other in a different light. I also enjoyed the transformation Ashley saw in her father. It was a very good book! I'd recommend it!

Homecoming Blessings is the third installment from Merrillee Whren's The Dalton Brothers series. I love, love, LOVE this book. This is by far my favorite I have read by Miss Whren to date. Peter and Ashley had instant chemistry even though they did not seem to know it in the beginning. They were so fun and entertaining together. The beautiful setting of the mountains in Georgia was another plus.
I would give Homecoming Blessings one hundred stars if i could. Such a great and sweet story.
I received this book from the author, but was not required to write a review. This review is 100% my own honest opinion.

I ordered this book because it was about a missionary. The protagonist had been pushed out of Africa by rebels and missed her people, but otherwise showed little evidence of being a missionary. She talked little of the impact she would feel about leaving the mission field for good on so little notice. I felt that the author didn't understand missionary feelings or issues at all. The books was shallow, predictable, explained too much, and had too much emphasis on looks and physical attraction.

Nothing wrong with it but I just couldn't finish it. Didn't like either hero or heroine and the plot seemed predictable.
