Restaurant entrepreneur and fiancé to a congressman, thirty-year-old, Amazing Grant has kept her distance from her mobster family, as well as entombed her own less-than-savory past. Until now. The family assassin summons Amazing to Paris for a meeting with the clan. With their recent blackmail threats against her fiancé, and an Interpol General using her past to jeopardize her freedom, the only thing worse than dragging the people she loves into her battle is discovering why her relatives want an heirloom journal she’s been hiding, to remain buried.
The conclusion to the Grant saga has come and it was worth the wait. This time, Maze is the feature and she is familiar to any who have read this crime family series. Now the family wants to ruin her life over something that is first mentioned in book two.
The familiar characters and bad pennies show up again. We have plenty of Quinn and Barrett in this work. We still have the bad smell that ruminates from Richard. Only half of my Christmas wishes came through here. I didn't get to appreciate the permanent end of Richard. In my mind, he will end up in a tiny cell in a Bulgarian prison and rot there.
The cup half full is now if there happens to somehow be a fourth book in this series, I will not have to ever deal with that miserable waste of skin that was the 'family assassin'. Still could have been two or three chapters full of her downfall and I would be re-reading them with wine and chocolate at a fireplace for hours. There can be no white-lining to this character. A walking pile of crap she was and will always be.
In this book, Maze finally gets on the right side of everything and exemplifies how a strong female good person can overcome the bad in life. A strong vindication in the power of a good person over evil.
This book is the fine conclusion to a powerful three-part series. If you have been a fan of this family since the start, you will love this book. If you just love Quinn and Barrett, you will enjoy this book. A solid addition to a great series that will not disappoint.
A lovely final instalment to The Grant Series. After all the buildup in the first two books, this third book didn’t disappoint in how the story wrapped up. Lots of karma and fun action abound. Do yourself a favor and check out this awesome suspenseful and romantic series.
The final Grant adventure as we discover Amazing's story and does not disappoint as just as exciting, page turner and unexpected twist and turns. What a family and what a lovely adventure to be follow with all three "cousins". Lots are finally revealed and the end falls nicely into finalising the end to book 2. The flow is great with all three books and well worth reading the complete series as Ellis Summer's imagination and story telling is amazing. Great characters, humour, intrigue, mystery, adventure and unexpected twists and turns around every corner. Just when you think you have mastered the characters and the world something else is revealed and certainly not what I expected. Was another page turner as had to keep going to discover how's Maze's story emerged and what happens for all three cousins in end. Lovely, beautiful and totally enjoyable series.

Audiobook Review: I'm not quite sure what to think of this story. It's hard to pin down a single genre, and even then, of those that could claim it, the story lacks particular elements of each. For instance, it felt like suspense early on but then more of a thriller as the tension and the consequences built, but it didn't have the crucial thriller must-have scene where the protagonist is at the mercy of the villain against seemingly impossible odds. It has multiple romantic aspects, but elements of the supposed romances are decidedly unromantic. All this makes the book feel a bit hazy and unsatisfying. I did enjoy the first half of the book, as we learn some background about what's going on and see the female protagonist endangered nearly every time she turns around, including by some she had trusted previously, while she's grappling with each shock or change and trying to piece together what she should do given her constantly evolving situation.
The book fell apart for me after this first half, once the big European family get-together started, first in France before moving to Scotland. I don't know if it would have helped if I had read or listened to the previous books in the series, but there were so many family members of different generations (and even so many hired help!) with different relationships and allegiances—which were also shifting, aside from being numerous, as the story went along—that I felt like I needed to draw a diagram to keep it all straight. Perhaps it's just me, but I don't like to have to work that hard to understand a book; I listen to audiobooks for pure enjoyment (if fiction) or enlightenment (if nonfiction). Some characterizations, like the rapidly changing Clay, also seemed absolutely bizarre to me. We learn more about him later, but it just came across as odd as his storyline unfolded with a rapid pivot. It also felt like the author was holding back on key information about characters for too long, making the large cast of characters more confusing and inconsistent than they should have been. As you may be able to tell, I wasn't wild about this story.
I received a promo code for this book, but that did not affect my review.
Tell me Ever.Y.Thing. or we’re not even dating again, let alone getting engaged. I’ve read waaay too many mob-family books to just take someone’s word that I don’t want to know anything.
I don’t know how the younger generation tolerates their elders’ shenanigans. But Amazing might have the answer to that: ‘Ignorance was my drug, and I'd become a hopeless addict’
Waking up to laughter during a family breakfast and the first thing that comes to mind is ‘happy hunters before a kill’. And if there are empty chairs, it merely means that somebody is either hiding, a hostage, poisoned, or dead.
There are so many secrets in this family that somebody had to ask if Vanessa packed. Chuckled over that one…
I’ll be starting ‘Hunting for Blue’ in a few days.
Besides this series, I haven't read too many book by Ellis Summers, but this one turned out to be a really intriguing mystery. Although it was the last book in the Grant series, the plot and characters continued to have great depth and Amazing Grant really has some great motivation to keep the hidden journal safe. She doesn't hide from threats but also doesn't want to drag those she loves into danger -- including his fiancé. Can she discover why this heirloom journal is so important? I look forward to reading more from Ellis Summers in the future.

this was another great entry in the Grant series, it does a great job in being a action/adventure novel. I enjoyed the way Ellis Summers wrote this and the previous two books. It does a great job in continuing the series and I can't wait to read more Ellis Summers.
