Hello again! It’s me, Evanora Dark, Buttermilk Bay’s newest sage of house staging and recently discovered unalived whisperer (that’s ghost-talker to you lay folk).
Business is booming, a certain silver-fox contractor named Cary Mann is hot in pursuit (wink-wink), and me and my bestie Fab are as tight as ever. Life is good—newly inherited boggart-in-a-crystal ball aside (don’t ask; he’s a handful. And libidinous. And it’s more of a snow globe than a crystal ball…)

My loved ones—both living and dead—all have my back though, ready to throw down with this particularly pesky poltergeist.
But my gift for helping the unalived comes with certain responsibilities. I’ll help this ghost solve the mystery behind her death and see her to the light. Even if, years ago, I would’ve liked to have bumped her off myself. After all…isn’t that how most of us feel toward the person who helped blow up their marriage?

The mystery was okay. It was more the circumstances surrounding it that made it interesting. There was lots about infidelity here and it was pretty emotional, although it had its funny parts. I don't like that there was a dog on the cover but not in the book at all.
This heroine kicks butt. She dealt with an attacker in a believable way and then held a really painful physical position long enough to talk to him in order to look strong and protect herself. She was a very capable woman in her 50s. She also said things like telling a Susan, a serial mistress, that no one should ever shame her for her being sexual. She also told Susan that hurting the wife wasn’t her fault alone. It was the man’s decision to cheat. It took two people. Susan was pretty amoral in her lifetime but grew a lot throughout the book.
The love interest, Cary, helped Evan out when she was in trouble but he made it clear that she didn’t need saving. She could help herself. A feminist man! I really liked him; he was so sweet without being wimpy.
At the end, Evan said she knew who did it but didn’t explain it well. I still didn’t know how knowing something meant murder.
I really like this heroine and this series. I’ll definitely read the next one.
The reader, Traci Odom, was excellent. I really hope to hear more from her.

It takes wicked empathy to help the person that ruined your marriage. That said, if cheating is a trigger for you then read responsibly.
Evanora ends up helping Susan solve her mysterious disappearance. In doing so, Evanora gets to know Susan and understand her better. Susan is truly a product of her abusive childhood. Even though Susan is now a ghost her direct contact with Evanora has a profound impact on her. Susan eventually shows signs of emotional growth and empathy. Great character development.
The mystery is a tangled web that Evanora must unravel, but she finally has her date with Cary Mann while she’s hunting for clues. Evanora and Cary look like they are off to a good start. I hope their relationship gets to positively progress.

Good for you Evan
Not sure I could be as selfless as Evan. Yes, she did throw Susan's misdeeds in her face, but over time, even that lessened. As Susan really came to terms with her past and the destruction she was a part of, she became more likeable...well, you didn't hate her. Evan struggled with finding clues but she trudged on, even when those closest to her figured she didn't owe Susan anything. However, when she does figure things out, she needs to stop running head long into danger. Back up, babe. Remember to always have backup.

Another fun outing, but this time Evanora must deal with a selfish con woman who jumps from man to man for them to pay her way through life..without caring if she destroys families along the way. Just so happens she knows this full well the damage as this was the woman (Susan) who she caught her ex-husband cheating with! Can she put her feelings to the side and help ghost Susan figure out what happened to her?

Susan wants to know who killed her and why, and she won't leave Evan alone till she finds the answer!
So Evan starts to track down the killer, with Susan witching all the way.

This story filled my heart. The ghost of the woman who broke up Evanora’s marriage comes to her for help. Evanora could have passed and let her wander lost with no answers but instead did her best to find out who this woman was and who was responsible for her death. Evanora is a woman I would love to have as a friend. Empathetic and a little crazy I truly enjoyed this journey with her.

With the help of a sexy love interest, her ghostly but fab father, and her stylish BFF Evan solves the case, and finds forgiveness for the woman who slept with her ex husband. A lovely little tale of redemption and grand accessories.

I love me some Dakota Cassidy, and I adore both of the books I've read in this series so far. A kind hearted, animal loving heroine, who no longer takes any crap from anyone. I can't wait to see what's next for Evan!

This was not bad, older heroine and her crush. She did act sort of childish there for a minute and had done TSTL moments, but overall it was a pleasant read
