“A forbidden romance full of angst and delicious desire. Wicked Idol is unputdownable and so scorching hot it will melt your kindle. You’re not going to want to leave Pembroke Prep.” – Amazon Top #10 bestselling author Ivy Smoak
HELLFIRE CLUB contains 5 full-length novels by bestselling author Becker Gray including Wicked Idol, Callous Prince, Brutal Blueblood, Ruined Sinner, and Sweet Devil. Walk the halls of the most exclusive prep school alongside the band of friends.
Becker Gray put this series in a Box Set, so those who haven't read it yet get the gift of having all the stories in one place.
Wicked Idol (Book 1) Iris Briggs puts out a good girl image without any sort of fire, however, she has it in spades; she's just a genius at hiding it from others. Keaton is a boy who hides his big heart well so no one knows he's not the jerk he appears to be. These two end up seeing past the walls though Keaton is still always trying to push her buttons, so they start going at lightning speed.
Callous Prince (Book 2) Our heroine, Sloane, isn't a girl who will cower away from a bully, so when the super sexy bully, Lennox, has her in his sights, well, she'll go toe to toe with him.
Brutal Blueblood (Book 3) Tanith is the scholarship kid at Pembroke Prep Academy, and you already know that's going to be an issue. She's working hard so she can achieve her dream in the publishing world which I found admirable. Owen has a heart encased in ice (I'm still not sure as to why), but that heart thaws out after these two share a hot kiss. However, he hurts her feelings (not sure why that is either) so it leads her to making reckless decisions.
Ruined Sinner (Book 4) Ruined Sinner has so much goodness in the pages that I've decided that I'm only to give away the bare minimum of detail about it because you'll enjoy it so much more going in blind. This is Phin & Princess Aurora's (yes she's a real princess) story which has all kinds of heat with a kicker of angst that really did my emotions in since he broke her heart in the past. Throw in her family & what they're making her do to which Phin steps in to help, and you have a very engaging story that you won't want to put down just like me.
Sweet Devil (Book 5) Rhys & Serafina round this Box Set out, and their story is an emotional doozie. I already fell in love with this heroine along the way, so I was ready to go. These two sizzled together on the pages, and if I had 0ne complaint, it would be there aren't enough pages.
So there you go, an exciting box set filled with tortured soul heroes, and the ladies that bring them to their knees. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND! {4.5 STARS}
This is the box set for all books in the Hellfire Club, a must-read if you love enemies to lovers, high school, bully romances.
Wicked Idol
Iris and Keaton, what a couple, such fantastic enemies to lovers, high school story. Rugby star and the new girl. This book hooked me from the start, as I kept reading the emotions escalated fast and what an epic ride it was. I love bully romances and this one is on my top favorite list of the trope this year I need more from this author. Becker Gray certainly knows how to write a story to drag me in and made me forget everything else until I finished it. Simply one of the best!
Callous Prince
This enemy to lovers with bullying as a cherry on the top book was so good, this one is Sloane and Lennox's story, the angst, and slow burn had me reading this in no time, and the fire and spark these two ignited was pure hotness. The whole series is starting to come alive with more stories underneath each couple's story, definitely want to keep on reading all of them and get the answers. I would love to hear them as an audiobook someday as well. Brilliant refreshing and intriguing series.
Brutal Blueblood
This series is one hell of a ride, each book full of emotions and hotness overload. This is the story of Owen and Tanith, a very intriguing one, full of passion, and the plot line will have you reading all night long. It has Pride and Prejudice themes, so if you like that then this is your cup of tea. This can be read as a standalone, but the whole series is definitely one you should consider reading.
Ruined Sinner
This is Phineas and Aurora's story, an enemies-to-lovers dark romance, with a nice balance of angst, drama, and steam. I've been addicted to high school drama and angst stories and this one fits the bill. it's lighter on the dark side from what I read, but I love it. I really liked Phineas' character, Aurora became a character I wasn't expecting how she overcomes their initial situation and how their relationship evolves. I so need these ones in audio to experience the whole series again.
Sweet Devil
Serafina and Rhys' story was amazing, this is a dual POV story, with bullying and enemies to lovers vibe. Their chemistry is off the charts, I love every chapter, and I think Rhys has become my favorite in the series. Their interactions were entertaining, steamy, and a wild overall ride. The angst is well-balanced, and I love the emotional side of the characters and the whole story. I strongly recommend you read the entire series.
Wicked Idol: There's just something about a high school bully romance that makes me happy and satisfies something in my book-loving soul. This one was fantastic because the author really stressed consent and respect, which is so great to read in romance books. Don't get me wrong, I love other kinds of books too, but it's so important to see dialogue and descriptions modeled sometimes to know how to discuss them with partners. Callous Prince:Yeah High school bullies do it for me. And these books...there's a bit of angst after they get together, but it's resolved pretty quickly and we get to have a nice make up session. Brutal Blueblood: Owen and Tanith are so perfectly dirty and hot! It's always the quiet good girls! I love how hard the guys fall and each one gets a little dirtier. I can't wait for Aurora and Sera to get their stories; I have a feeling they'll be more angsty! Ruined Sinner: Ugh not as good as I hoped. I feel like serious topics were addressed and handled well, loved Phin's app. But I have questions... Like Chad and/or library stalker. And each book was getting hotter and dirtier and this one seemed to come to a screeching halt compared to the others. Eyes closed, fingers crossed Rhys lives up to my hopes and dreams... Sweet Devil: Ok, not as dirty as I hoped but the storyline was so good! I was annoyed by the secret keeping and the hints, but it's just because I'm nosy and want to know everything. I was so happy to finally see Sera get her devil and loved the tit for tat. I liked the resolution of the entire group. I struggled with continuity errors a little on this one since it pulled me out of the story. Overall, happy I read the series.
I absolutely loved the boys from Hellfire Club. Not only were they a touch morally grey, but they were funny + sexy and their FMCs were all strong + amazing young women.
Wicked Idol 5/5 ⭐ 3/5 🌶️
Wicked Idol ended up being such a super sweet and séxÿ story. In the beginning we got a little bit of büllyiñg and enemies-to-lovers vibes, but really this was much more of a secret romance between 2 young adults navigating the stress of making their parents proud while finding their own way. I really loved Keaton, he was a bit of an áss to start, but I warmed up to him so fast. Outside of the Clara situation, the way he treated her was adorable, you could tell he had fallen so hard for her. Iris was a great FMC, she was strong and driven and I loved how when Keaton messed up she cried, but got right back up and didn't blame herself for his mistakes. Keaton's grovel was amazing, I loved the effort he put into it. Yes, he has money, so a lot of it was no skin off his back, but he also showed up emotionally with no holding back. The epilogue was fantastic too, cute and spicy and it gave us the perfect glimpse into their future. Looking forward to getting to know the rest of the Héllfire club and Iris's friends!
Callous Prince 4/5 ⭐ 3/5 🌶️
I'm loving the boys of Hëllfire Club. Lennox was such an interesting character; on the surface he's this prïck, hëllbent on breaking poor Sloane, but as the story goes on we find out that his misplaced need for revenge isn't all that he feels for her and that there's some true good that lurks beneath what we see. I adored Sloane too; she's this whip smart, fierce FMC who's INTERPOL father taught her how to stand her ground and take it from others too. She is always looking to help out students who have been taken advantage of with her computer skills and she knows how to wield a swïtchblade too. She makes a not smart move that had me cringing in angst for a lot of the story, and I felt like her character was written to be smarter than that, but other than that I really loved the overall plotlines and how these two came together. Their epilogue was super séxÿ and sweet too.
Brutal Blueblood 5/5 ⭐ 5/5 🌶️
I think Owen is officially my favorite Hellfire Boy. There's a chance Rhys might unseat him because I live for an anti-hero, but Owen was the perfect mix of ásshölé and sweet. He was so broken by his mother that he had no clue how to express or act on his feelings and it constantly came out wrong, which unfortunately for him, Tanith didn't exactly handle well. I really loved Tanith, but she was so strong it was almost to a fault. She was very insecure about where she came from and since she worked so hard to overcome it, she would lash out anytime Owen accidentally said something anywhere close to demeaning about it. I wish she would have taken a step back and understood where he was coming from, but she had to prove she was independent and worthy and it often hurt the both of them in the process. That being said, Owen could be a total tool and probably still deserved the héll she put him through. I loved his grovel at the end, Owen with a melted heart was so perfect and I really loved these two together. Their spice was off the charts. His dirty talking was A+++++ material, I was in absolute nirvana and highlighting left and right.
Ruined Sinner 5/5 ⭐ 3/5 🌶️
Ruined Sinner was one giant grovel and I was here. for. it. I adored Phin, I just knew even back in Wicked Idol he was more than he seemed. That there was something broken within him that kept him fighting with Aurora and all but physically pushing her away... I wasn't spot on, but it's not far from the truth. We finally discover what had Aurora so upset and to be frank, I was a little disappointed. I would have been upset too, but I think I built it up too much in my head over the past 3 books that I was honestly expecting a lot worse. But Phin knew he messed up, and when he saw his chance to find himself not only saving Aurora from a terrible fate, but also end up in a forced proximity situation where she owed him, he jumped on it. He was perfect, I loved him and everything he did for her. He grew up and figured it out and got his girl and I loved every moment.
Sweet Devil 5/5 ⭐ 3/5 🌶️
Wowwwww. Just wow. This book took me by absolute surprise, it was not at all what I was expecting both from this series and from Rhys. I CRIED. I don't often cry, but gôddąmn this one hit me right in the feels. I often wondered why Rhys was the "dęvil" of Pembrooke, why he was so ruthless, especially towards Sera... I can see it now, it was unexpected, but it all made sense. I adored him in Sweet Devil, the way he pushed her and why, the way he truly felt about her and how he finally gave in to his love for her, it was all so wonderful. Sera has always been a favorite of mine, I love how Becker Gray portrayed her and gave her strong Black woman attributes without leaning into stereotypes. She was such a bãdãss and despite her parents callousness, she loved deeply, both her friends and Rhys. This was such a strong finale to this series and I really can't recommend it enough.
Great collection of prep school dark romance. This is set in the Midnight Dynasty world but only book 1 has a Constantine as a main character. Loaded with drama, suspense, angst and heat.
This box set contains Books 1-5 in the Hellfire Club Series by this author. These entertaining stories feature Pembroke Prep bad boys and their spirited heroines. Each novella has a unique storyline, peppered with drama, angst, action, danger, excitement, craziness, steam, and a happy ending. These page turners will keep you engaged from the first page to the last. An absolute bargain for the countless hours of entertainment that it will provide.
I received an Advance Reader Copy of this book from Valentine PR and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
This was a phenomenal box set and I highly recommend it anyone who likes dark mafia/academy reads! I left a review for each individual book…
Book 1:
He was the king of Pembroke Prep. She was the headmasters daughter. Keaton wanted nothing to do with Iris, he disliked her instantly. Which was fine by her, she just wanted to get by, and get out. I loved Iris, she was smart and the banter between these two was hot! And Keaton! He was the typical popular, hot, broody alpha male- perfect! But he’s definitely not prepared for Iris, she doesn’t take his crap. I loved that. I loved book 1 of the Hellfire Club and can’t wait to start book 2 next!
Book 2:
Lennox had it out for Sloane since she first walked into Pembroke. Her father destroyed his life when he arrested Lennox’s dad publicly. And now, she was his to torment , toy with, and use. So when his Rhys decides to force him to admit he has deeper feelings for Sloane by asking her out and publicly kissing her, he’s furious. Sloane belongs to him. And just when we see him start to claim her, her dad asks her to do something unforgivable. But she does it- because hey it’s her dad. Even those it’s wrong, and she knows it, and it’s plain as day he’s using his daughter, but whatever right! Sloane made me so angry at times. She just went along with what her dad wanted, no ever stopping to think about Lennon, and her friendship with Aurora. Aside from that I loved book 2- Callous Prince. These two were good, and I loved seeing the soft, tender side of Lennox. He was just perfect!
Book 3:
Oh dear Owen, where do I even begin. He’s been attending the same school as Tanith for years, they have literally the same small group of friends, and yet when he sees her on Sera’s yacht he has no clue who she is. But Tanith knows him, she’s been in love with him for years. But she has never felt like she belongs in their circle, she’s just a scholarship student from a nothing family. So when Owen kisses her, it’s everything, there’s an instant spark between them. But then he goes and reminds her he doesn’t have any clue who she is, and that ruins the mood and is a reminder for her of her “place”. So what does she do, she accepts the fellowship position in LA for a semester- a position Owen was trying to get and didn’t. When she finally returns at Christmas, Owen is ready, he’s thought about her constantly and wants her. And to make things worse , his brother makes a play for her! That’s not happening. But Owen isn’t the best with his words, what he wants to say comes out wrong and he doesn’t understand why she gets hurts. Luckily for him, Rhys and Phin gets through to him and he finally gets it. He manages to get Tanith to give him and them a chance. Now that she’s back, everything seems to be working out for her, she’s got an intern position at the company she’s always wanted, she has her boy, so what could go wrong?? His mother, that’s what. This was another good book in the Hellfire series! Looking forward to Phin and Aurora’s story!
Book 4-
Book 4, Ruined Sinner, was definitely my favorite! I loved Phin. He was the known “playboy”, that slept with girls all over. But the reality was shocking. He’s been in love with one girl since freshman year, and when he finally got his chance and blew it, every girl after was just a means to a end. They all looked like the one he wanted, his princess- Aurora. And what did Aurora do after she was hurt by him, the exact same thing she thought he was doing, hooking up with guys to fill the void of Phin. If only these two had talked right from the beginning, things would’ve been so different. I felt her reasoning for being mad at him was ridiculous. Yeah, him kissing a girl right after he kissed her wasn’t cool, but they weren’t even together. She got mad and held a grudge for so long and she was childish to do so. I felt for Phin, everyone’s opinion of him was so far off base, he had such a good heart.
Book 5-
I’ve been so drawn to Rhys since book 1, and was anxiously waiting to read his book. I loved him, maybe the most. To say I was shocked and surprised by this book, would be an understatement. I felt for him, and Sera too when she found out his secret. Don’t get me wrong, he was a major a$$ for everything he did to her, and how he embarrassed her. But I guess that’s what makes a great enemies to lovers story. When people called him the Devil, he certainly lives up to the name. But this guy has a whole other side, and his heart is huge. The chemistry that’s been building throughout this series between these two, finally exploded! And it made a great finale to the series. Great ending!
This is a review of the complete Hellfire Club series.
#1 - Wicked Idol (Keaton & Iris) Keaton is from a wealthy family, but he can never please them. He’s in Pembrook Prep’s Hellfire Club and that makes him royalty at the school. Iris is the new headmaster’s daughter and she just wants to finish school so she can go to Paris to study photography. But when she accidentally bumps into Keaton, both their lives will change.
I really liked Keaton and Iris as a couple and I was cheering for them to get together. Keaton saw through her shy exterior and brought the best out in her. I just thought that the author was introducing too many characters in the first book. I realize they are all probably going to have their own books, but I couldn’t keep them straight.
#2 - Callous Prince (Lennox & Sloane) Lennox is an actual prince, but his father has gone to prison for a Ponzi scheme and disgraced his family. He needs to be in the Hellfire Club so that he has the affluent connections after school. Sloane’s father is the investigator that put Lennox’s father in prison and he’s asked her to spy on Lennox to see if he was a part of his father’s scheme. Lennox has tormented Sloane for the last three years at school, but something has changed this past year that will change the trajectory of both their lives.
Lennox was so mean to Sloane and I can’t believe that she just took it, because she was supposed to be this tough girl that helped other people. I found it funny that Lennox didn’t see that he was jealous when Rhys tried to sneak into Sloane’s life. This is a perfect example of that fine line between love and hate. I did find this storyline very similar to the first book with both girls being virgins and shy … just different characters.
#3 - Brutal Blueblood (Owen & Tanith) Owen Montgomery is destined to run the family’s media company and has no time for a relationship. Tanith is a scholarship student and needs all the breaks she can get. The fellowship she got for the first semester of her senior high school year helps, but she’s after a position at Gotham Girl magazine. But when Owen sets his sights on her after being at the same school for three years, she has a hard time believing his intentions are good.
I liked Owen right from the beginning of the series … he didn’t seem as arrogant as the other guys. He was always cleaning up other people’s messes. I don’t understand why Tanith was so upset that Owen never knew who she was … in high school kids change a lot over a three year period. I did love that she gave him a run for his money though. Owen and Tanith are my favorite couple in this series so far … but I can’t wait for Rhys and Sera’s story.
#4 - Ruined Sinner (Phin & Aurora) Phineas has had a thing for Aurora since the day they met, but he ruined it by kissing someone else the same night he kissed Aurora. After she wouldn’t let him explain and has hated him ever since. So Phin has become a player to show Aurora that she doesn’t matter to him. But when Aurora is being pushed to marry someone she doesn’t want to, Phin steps and suggests they have a fake relationship to get Aurora’s parents off her back. Will that fine line between love and hate blur or disappear altogether?
I could tell these two really liked each other … they just didn’t know it. Phin tried to mean to Aurora, but that never quite worked out for him … he was crazy about her. And Aurora tried to forget their kiss, but she compared it to all the other and none of them measured up.
#5 - Sweet Devil (Rhys & Serafina) Rhys is the Devil of Prembroke Prep … he’s mean to just about everyone, especially Sera. Sera is the queen among her peers and everyone bows down to her, except Rhys. They provoke each other enough that a war is started between them as to who can do the worst to the other.
The first half of the book I found kinda repetitive from the other books in the series. I really didn’t like Rhys at all, but I became to understand and like him in the second half of the book. Even though Sera seemed very confident on the outside, she was a scared little girl on the inside … my heart broke for her. There is a twist towards the end that I really wasn’t expecting … and I can usually spot plot twists a mile away. A great addition to the series.
I received an early copy courtesy of Valentine’s PR in exchange for a honest review.
Title: Hellfire Club Author: Becker Gray Format: eBook Genre: Romance, YA/NA, Academy, Secret Society, Enemies to Lovers, Bully (elements but you don't really see it, happened prior to book) Steam Level: All are slow burn to steamy 4/5
Book 1: Wicked Idol POV: Iris, Keaton 4/5
Wicked Idol is the first book in the Hellfire Club series and is a standalone. Almost a bully romance, Wicked Idol toes the linen but doesn't really cross it. Iris is the new girl in school, her dad the new headmaster .Keaton is the popular rich kid, a rich jock with a girlfriend. So off limits for sure. Except not everything is as it seems. His girlfriend is just for show and he's way more down to earth. Both Keaton and Iris struggle with their family dynamics and expectations. They quickly form a bond when they are paired together in a school project. I really liked this story and I look forward to see how this series plays out.
Book 2: Callous Prince Trope: Royalty POV: Sloane, Lennox 4/5
Callous Prince is kind of a bully romance but not really since you don't see much/any of the bullying, only know that their is a history of Lennox tormenting Sloane. However, Sloane is pretty amazing. She's strong, fights for justice for her peers and wants to go into law enforcement like her dad. The same dad who Lennox hates for putting his dad in jail. But there's more to the story and Sloane is pushed to help find out more. But is there more to the boy who tormented her? Why is he saying she's his? This book was quite steamy and I loved the back and forth between Lennox and Slone. I loved Lennox's filthy mouth and Sloane's ability to take care of herself. I wanted more of these two and I hope to see more of them in the books to come.
Book 3: Brutal Blueblood POV: Tanith, Owen 4/5
Tanith and Owen meet over the summer before their senior year of high school. Except, they've gone to school together for the last three years and Tanith has been crushing on him the entire time. The problem? Owen has no idea who she is despite having some of the same friends. On top of that, he can't keep his foot out of his mouth, always saying the wrong things. I love that Tanith makes him work to earn her forgiveness. Some of their arguments seemed like Tanith was overly sensitive about her being a scholarship kid but other times Owen truly had no idea how condescending he was being. This made this book both cringy and funny. I loved that it took other people breaking down what he said and the underlying meaning for Owen to get. For being smart, he wasn't very self-aware and said some not so bright things to Tanith. But the steam between them was scorching hot. I feel like these books are getting progressively steamier and I'm all for it.
Book 4: Ruined Sinner Trope: Second Chance, Royalty, Fake Relationship POV: Aurora, Phineas 4/5
Ruined Sinner is the fourth book in the Hellfire Club series. Aurora and Phin's relationship is complicated but when Aurora's family tries to betroth her to someone else, Phin volunteers to be her made up boyfriend. Along the way we find out that not everything is as it seems with Phin and that perception is not always reality. I loved that Phin was all in but had to work to overcome their rocky past.
Book 5: Sweet Devil Tope: Interracial POV: Seraphina, Rhys 5/5
Sweet Devil is the my favorite of this series and also the most intense. A plot line from the last three books concludes (plotline is explained so that this book is truly a standalone). Rhys's story is heartbreaking and not one I saw coming initially. Well I sort of did but not the specifics. Rhys has been standoffish and the most closed off throughout the series and now you know why. And wow is it a doozy. I loved the tension between Seraphina and Rhys and how everything he's done to torment her over the years was to push her to step out of the shadows and have a voice, a reaction because she's just as much a robot as he is just differently. I also liked how Becker Gray deals with the issues of race and the different expectations and consequences for Seraphina to act out versus Rhys acting out. I loved Sera's Grandma and how she simultaneously encourages and cautions her reckless behavior.
I received an advanced copy of this boxset. This is my honest and voluntary review.
I absolutely loved this boxset. A group of hot as hell boys and the incredible girls they fall for. Bad boys that I couldn’t help but love. And amazing strong young ladies who come into their own.
Wicked Idol This is a sweet sexy story of two young adults. Iris Briggs new girl at school and daughter to the headmaster of said school. Keaton Constantine top rugby player and top of the class, valedictorian and a member of the Hellfire Club. I absolutely loved Iris. She's an all around good girl, trying to go unnoticed, not making an waves. Following her dreams as best as she can. Keaton has had his life planned out for him. And he's going along until he can figure things out. Both Iris and Keaton are about to be down downed on their rear ends when they literally collide. I adored their story and their hea.
Callous Prince Lennox is a complex character. He absolutely is not what you see is what you get. On the outside he appears callous, uncaring and hellbent on breaking an innocent girl. But as the story develops there is so much that is uncovered. Sloane is my idol! I absolutely loved that girl. She’s fierce, strong but so very caring. Always looking out for others and making sure she does what she can to help those who need it. This story was a bit emotionally but also sexy and sweet.
Brutal Blueblood Owen was the perfect mix of I hate him and love him. He’s cold and sweet but you never know which version you are going to get. His mother did a number on him which made him not know how to express himself or show his feelings. Tanith was a strong young lady. But insecure about herself when it came to her upbringing. She’s so determined to be more, which is great. But often times people bare the brunt of her anger and insecurities. Such as Owen. While he sometimes does deserve her tongue lashing because he does at times put his foot in his mouth. I really enjoyed their story.
Ruined Sinner In the past books we discover that Aurora is furious with Phineas. He’s always making her cry. She’s always mad at him. And now we will discover why. So it’s going to take a lot of groveling from Phin and doing right by her to get back into her good graces. And Phin is up to doing anything to get the girl he loves. I loved their story and seeing the characters grow and develop.
Sweet Devil And lastly Rhys and Sera’s story. Why is he the devil of Pembrooke? Why is he so ruthless? Why is he especially mean towards Sera? All is answered in Sweet Devil. I really liked Seraphina. Despite her parent’s aloofness and coldness. Sera is absolutely not like them. While she holds herself to a certain decorum and acts with what is expected of her. She loves wholeheartedly and without limits. Rhys the leader of the Hellfire club. He’s rich and sexy. Lacks for nothing. He has loved Sera for years but never acted on it. For reasons he won’t share with anyone. He carries his burden alone. Which broke my heart. Together these two will become stronger and better. But it’s not a paved road they will travel.
This is an amazing boxset, which consist of five novels which are as follows:- #1 Wicked Idol This is the first book in a new series, and this is Keaton is a wealthy, dirty talking, and sexy alpha, and the leader of the Hellfire Club, and king of the school, and he has the new girl firmly in his sights. Iris is sassy and innocent as well as being the new girl who happens to be the principals’ daughter, and she intends to stay firmly under the radar. When Keaton and Iris literally bump into each other the sparks fly and the tension between them is palpable, and this little firecracker is more than capable of fighting her own battles #2 Callous Prince This is the second book in this intriguing series, and this is Lennox and Sloane’s journey. Lennox is complex, and appears to be callous, cold, and uncaring, while Sloane is feisty and strong, and Lennox has met his match. #3 Brutal Blueblood This is the third book in this amazing series, and this is Owen and Tanith’s journey. Owen is cold, and you either love him or hate him, and Tanith is strong, but has insecurities. #4 Ruined Sinner This is the fourth book in this impressive series and is Phineas and Aurora’s tale. Phin is a wealthy playboy, and Aurora is a princess, and these two have a love / hate relationship going on. Aurora has not had an east life, and when she is told that she must marry into a wealthy family, she panics, and tells her family that she has a boyfriend, but now she needs to find one and fast. Phin agrees to be Aurora’s fake boyfriend but there are conditions attached, and the chemistry between them us combustible and undeniable. #5 Sweet Devil This is the fifth and conclusion in this phenomenal series, and my work, talk about keeping the best last! I was invested in Rhys and Sera’s story throughout. Rhys may come across as a ruthless and cold devil, but he can see through Sera’s façade that she has, and he is determined to break through her walls so she can become the Queen she is. These two may have an enemies/ lover’s relationship, but they complement each other perfectly. This is a well written boxset, which is an emotional roller coaster, with witty banter, angst, tension, secrets, heartbreak, drama, friendships, family, challenges, truths, and love, which leads to an entertaining and compelling page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
I'd never read this author before, so this was a bit of a treat. I'm was definitely outside of my normal genre range here because I very rarely ever read YA.
This box set wraps up the Hellfire Club series with a tidy bow. I'll review each separately. I'm not a spoiler kinda gal, so you won't find that here.
Wicked Idol 4/5🌟🌟🌟🌟 2/5🌶🌶
I was getting some enemies to lovers kind of vibes but kind of not? It was a strange trope to pick up on. Keaton definitely was an ass toward Iris. It's a story of the sports star and the inconspicuous good girl.
Callous Prince 4/5🌟🌟🌟🌟 3/5🌶🌶🌶
Sloane certainly has a backbone! Yes! Love a FMC with some feisty intelligence. Lennox had me seriously wondering what his issue was for a long while. He really was balls to the wall, all about tearing Lennox down.
Brutal Blueblood 4/5🌟🌟🌟🌟 4/5🌶🌶🌶🌶
Finally some spiiiice! Sorry, not sorry! Anywho! Owen, mercy, that boy kinda broke my heart. The way he was raised made him pretty clueless on how to express his feelings properly, because his mother was so abusive. Tanith came from the wrong side of the tracks and she was very insecure about that. So she put up a front and kept everyone at bay. She was very prickly and unapproachable.
Ruined Sinner 4/5🌟🌟🌟🌟 2/5🌶🌶
Phineas is a bully. That's all I can think of about him. He's always picking on Aurora, making her cry, making her mad, etc. So rightfully, Aurora wants nothing to do with him. Now she has to interact with him and it's intense to put it mildly. LOL Phin has some major groveling to do!
Sweet Devil 5/5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 2/5🌶🌶
Rhys! The Devil of Pembroke. ~cackles~ He's the broody, ruthless guy that turns into that man that is the book boyfriend we all swoon over. But why is he like this? Poor Seraphina is his target. She is so composed and acts the way that her parents expect her to. However, she is such a pure soul and loves with everything that she has. She is an amazing contrast to her upbringing. Their story is an intense one, with a meaty plot. I really liked this one the best out of all of the Hellfire Club's books.
Always check the TW/CW: 💥mild bullying
Anywho! Time to wrap this up with the goodies: Read: 4 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Spice: 3 🌶🌶🌶
Wicked Idol ✩✩✩.5 First of all, I was soo excited to read this book because I loooveee the Pembroke Prep/Hellfire Club series!! I also love the Constantine universe which interconnects books from different authors. I LOVED this book! It was soo good and I loved reading about Iris and Keaton. This book was steamy and dark but also cute at the same time! - good girl x bad boy - enemies - lovers
Callous Prince ✩✩✩✩ Okay Pembrooke Prep's real-life PRINCE?! And a badass female mc who knows self defense... Callous Prince packed all the heat and I was not upset about it alll (except for the third act breakup but shhh we won't talk about that) Lennox and Sloane were EVERYTHING! I enjoyed this book soo much. I haven't visited the Hellfire Club since December of 2021 and boy was it good to be back. Becker Gray has no problems writing some absolutely AMAZING smut and this book was so absolutely addicting... - enemies - lovers - reformed playboy
Brutal Blueblood ✩✩✩✩ If you love private school/gossip girl vibes, you have to pick this one up!! Owen is the definition of an ice king who only has a warm spot for Tanith. I loved it. Perfect hs dark romance, I love all the cameos from our fav characters in the past books (especially Sera!! that’s my girl!) - protective mmc - reformed playboy
Ruined Sinner ✩✩✩ I was highly anticipating Aurora and Phin's story and it was super cute! The fake dating private school trope is one of my favs and it was executed SO well! I felt like the ending was a little rushed but I overall really enjoyed this short and steamy read! - fake dating - enemies to lovers
Sweet Devil ✩✩✩✩✩ This book was SO good! It was the 5th book in the Hellfire series but it could be read as a stand-alone as I did it. But let me tell you one thing, once you start this book you are going to CRAAAVEE the other books in the series! This book was EXACTLY everything I could ask for in a dark private school romance. It was soo steamy and sexy but at the same time had such cute and genuine moments! - enemies to lovers - touch her and i’ll 🔪 you vibes
I’m not generally a fan of YA romances. I usually find all that angst in a bunch a teenagers a bit tiresome so don’t know what it is about the Hellfire Club series but I just can’t get enough of these books. I mean why should a grown woman want to read about a bunch of elitist high school kids? Perhaps it’s because the characters, at least the male ones seem so much more mature than your typical 18 year old teenagers so it’s easy to forget the high school setting. If I’m being completely honest the heroes start off as complete and utter degenerates but hey, what girl doesn’t love a bad boy? Besides like in all the best stories all they need is the love of a good woman to redeem them and once the Hellfire boys set their sights on their target then it’s game over. Their entire attention is focused on the girl they love until winning her almost becomes an obsession. The Hellfire Club is the entire delicious series together in one large book. With heroes like Keaton although he’s actually more naughty boy than bad boy who falls for the headmaster’s daughter Iris. Lennox is broody and foul mouthed with an aura of evil personified who has spent years acting out his hate/love relationship with Sloane. Owen, known as the Ice King for his cold manner and aloofness who falls for scholarship girl Tanith. Phineas, all alpha male with a reputation to match but he’s got a surprisingly sweet centre that melts for Aurora, a Princess and sister to Lennox? Not forgetting Rhys, probably been the most unlikeable characters of the bunch throughout this series albeit still in a ruthlessly attractive way and Queen of the school Serephina. Each and everyone a bad boy giving us fantastic stories full of angst, drama, dark desires and scorching chemistry. Here’s hoping we haven’t heard the last of Pembroke Prep and the Hellfire Club.
Hellfire Club Boxset is the perfect for you to read this wonderful series. Here you will meet the bad boys of Hellfire Club and the women who brings them to their knees.
Wicked Idol— Iris is the new girl and just trying to get by without drama. Well that all changed when she bumps into Keaton. Keaton is bad boy who hides his huge heart from everyone. His and Iris journey is remarkable story.
Callous Prince— Lennox might seems uncaring and callous but not everything is how it appeared. And he mets his match in Sloane. Sloane would do anything for anyone because of her big heart. Their story is emotional rollercoaster you will definitely love.
Brutal Blueblood— Owen doesn’t know how to express how he feels because of how he was raised. Tanith has strength that most would die for but is insecure about her upbringing and she is determined to be a better person. But she has anger issue and at times take it out on the wrong people and Owen gets it a few times.
Ruined Sinner— We meet Aurora and Phin back in wicked idol. He has always been a pain for Aurora. But when Phin push her one too many time she had enough and will push him away. But he realize his mistake it too late and she doesn’t let him off the hook so easy. The growth they shown is incredible and their ending is perfect for them.
Sweet Devil—We finally get to found out what happen between Rhys and Sera. Despite what he feels for her, he push her away no matter. Sera is opposed then her parent but she act one way but has big heart. Even though Rhys is leader of the club who carry so much on himself, he needs Sera even when they are apart. Their story will have many bumps but they will find their happiness.
You will definitely fall in love with each couple. You will go on a emotional rollercoaster throughout the boxset.
A sweet story about putting your own wants and needs behind to make others proud and happy. But in the end the secret, true love is bigger than all. Keaton got fast from the bad guy to someone you root for. His way of making his wrong right was so adorable. Iris was a strong young woman with a goal she fought for.
Callous Prince ⭐️ 5/5
Two fascinating main characters. Smart and caring Sloane and Lennon, who hates her. Sloanes Dad has a big role in their story. And not in a good way. And he uses his daughter. Despite it being wrong she does it, it is her father. Lennox hides his true feelings behind his will to break her. But, when someone else shows interest he springs into action. But the end is super sweet.
Brutal Blueblood ⭐️ 5/5
Owen has issues expressing his words very well. So he comes out wrong where Tanith was concerned, and she handled it not so good. She is insecure about her origin and had difficult times to overcome her insecurity. So there is a constant fight between her and Owen. They hurt each other a lot during these times. But their chemistry is hot. In the end his groveling was beautiful.
Ruined Sinner ⭐️ 5/5
We get to know Aurora’s secret. And we learn that there is more about Phin than we first thought. He messed up but when the chance came to make it up, he did. Phin saved her and he was sweet. He has become mature. It shows too, that talking sometimes is the right thing to do.
Sweet Devil ⭐️ 5/5
Fantastic finale book in this series. Strong and caring Sera is a wonderful young woman. She cares for her friends and Rys strongly. We get to know why Rhys was the devil. Not what I thought but fitting. When he gave in to his feelings it was everything.
So, I stumbled up The Reluctant Bride by Monica Murphy and I was hooked. Then I realized there is this whole world, with books by lots of different authors. When the chance to read the Hellfire Club books, I jumped on it.
Book 1, Wicked Idol, I switched back and forth between the audio and the kindle book. I was hooked. A little bit "bully" type, a lot of opposites attract, and I loved it all. Iris and Keaton were perfection! Seriously. The audio was excellent as well-both narrators were quite good.
Book 2, Callous Prince, is a bit more bully romance and Lennox is a bully for sure. He has made Sloane's life tough, but Sloane is tougher. She is perfect for him because she is honestly quite scary. Lennox took some time to warm up to, but I did eventually like him. I like Sloane better!
Book 3 is Brutal Blueblood and it is a rich guy/poor girl trope. Tanith is a scholarship kid at Pembrooke Prep. Owen is the heir to a huge media empire. Owen has the poor little rich boy thing down pat and sometimes he said some things that were just so offensive and demeaning. He did grovel okay. I loved Tanith though-she is brilliant, tough, and determined.
Book 4, Ruined Sinner, is the story of Aurora (Lennox's twin sister), and Phineas. Their story is a second chance romance and I had been anticipating it since the beginning! It did not disappoint and I really loved both of them.
Book 5, the final book, is Sweet Devil. Serafina is a rich heiress whose parents don't care about her at all. So, she protects others to build her own family. Rhys is cute but psycho personified. Their story is probably the saddest. I just wanted to cuddle both of them. It was a perfect end to the series.
This boxset was everything, I had read the first book a few months ago so I was really excited to read the rest of the stories and I absolutely loved them. All the characters were amazing, I loved reading their interactions, the banter between all the couples and how close they all were. The girls’ relationship was fun to read, they all had each other’s backs and they always supported the other’s when they had a problem. The guys’ relationship was amazing too, they didn’t show much affection towards each other but they were really close and they always looked after each other.
Each story was similar but I loved how protective and possessive the guys were with their girls and how their relationships started changing, they all acted as enemies at first but that was all an act to hide what they really felt. They all were in high school but they all seemed very grown ups and despite some of their actions they really knew what they wanted for their futures.
All the stories were really addictive, they weren’t that long so I was captivated from the beginning and I devoured the boxset in four days. Each story and couple was wonderful, all the steamy scenes were really sexy and spicy so I loved reading how everything happened between the couples and how at the end they all got a happy ending.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
Hellfire Club by Becker Gray is a boxset containing all five of the Hellfire Club series!
First there’s Wicked Idol, the story of Keaton and Iris. This angst-filled story was compelling and heart-breaking….
Then, there’s Callous Prince, which follows Lennox and Sloane. Loved this story so much!! They both want to hate each other, for their own unique reasons. But, is that possible?
Third up is, Brutal Blueblood, which captures Owen and Tanith. This story was totally enthralling!! Sometimes, I wanted to throttle him….but, slowly….he may be coming to his senses.
Next, there’s Ruined Sinner, the story of Phineas and Aurora. She hates him for what he did. But, now….she needs his help…and she hates herself for that. Another amazing story in this series!!
Finally, there’s Sweet Devil which is the story of Rhys and Serafina. He is the devil incarnate! She is capable, strong, and tenacious. Together….they could be unstoppable!!!
I am volunteering to leave a review for an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
These books are the perfect angsty high school romances. I loved getting to know all the characters in these books! There was so much chemistry and lots of steamy scenes for anyone that likes a good spicy read. I personally thought that the books got better as I went on through all 5, making Sweet Devil my favorite. All the books are really quick and fun reads, which is great, but I do wish that I saw a little more character development. That being said, these books are super fun to read as a quick distraction and to take you into a different world for a bit. They can all be read as standalones but I personally recommend reading all the books in order. I loved that there is a boxed set now so that you can read everything in order and keep track of the connections within each individual story. I also prefer discreet covers when it comes to romance books so I love that there is just one discreet cover for all five of these stories. Also, I feel like these books would actually make a really good Netflix show, which I would 100% watch!
In this box set, we meet the five boys of Hellfire. These books fall under the Dangerous Press umbrella with the Constantine/Morelli rivals. The first book is about Keaton and Iris. Keaton is a Constantine which loops us into the DP world. There’s is a forbidden romance - headmasters daughter, he’s expected to marry someone else. Next, is Lennox and Sloane. Enemies to lovers, it’s always been you vibes. Third is Owen and Tanith - opposites attract/slow burn. Then it’s Phineas and Aurora. They are this classic on again, off again but it’s always been you vibe. Lastly, we get Serafina and Rhys - instant love, internal torment. Now that we get the gist of what each boy will bring, I need to clarify that all of them are set in High School (all 18 of course). So in the realm of DP, all these books are tame. There’s some explicit scenes but not dark at all.
I was excited to read this boxset although, this is the first time I was reading a book by the author. The Midnight dynasty is my absolute favourite and I jumped in without a second thought. And I completely fell in love with the plots and the writing style.
This boxset include 5 books of students of Pembroke Prep. Every book left me feeling content yet wanting for more. I very rarely prefer reading YA romance yet I was lost in their world. Every couple is different and it was so easy to connect with each one of them and understand.
The chemistry was sizzling and off the charts. The bond they all share with each other was splendid. I was swooning over the possessiveness and protectiveness all the guys showed. It was delightful to read them get the happiness they deserved. A must have box set.
Thanks to Valentine's Promotions and Becker for the advanced copy.
Gossip Girl…but make it spicy!! There’s something for everyone here: new girl (who also happens to be the headmaster’s daughter) and the king of the school; foreign royalty and the daughter of the man who ruined his life; scholarship kid and the rich boy who always gets what he wants! I absolutely love the enemies to lovers trope and this set gives those vibes brilliantly! The passion and the tempers and the angst…so good.
I totally devoured these books! There is so much angst, steam, and twists with characters that you love, and ones that you hate to love. I thought these books were so well-written, and there was so much character depth that I felt that I really got to know them. This box set is definitely worth the read!
I received a free advanced reader copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my fair and honest review.
Five stories that take us through the guys of the Hellfire club and just what trouble they get into. We get loads of drama, a bit of danger, some mild violence and some super hot naughty moments. It was hard to remember these were teenagers with the issues they were having to deal with. As a whole it was a good series, a story or two were a bit of a miss for me, but the majority were a good read. I give the series 4 stars.
This series is absolutely amazing! Love all the different tropes that are mixed with the enemies to lovers trope/vibe. This series got me into this author and I definitely will be reading her other books. Love all the emotional roller coasters we get with each couple. Each character is unique with their own story and I loved reading about each one of them. Very highly recommend this series.
This is an amazing box set. If you love strong female leads and the alphas who fall for them, this set is for you. I enjoyed all the stories in the collection. There is steam and drama but also plenty of emotion. This is a great read to fill your weekend with.
