Escaping The Unknown
The sun is at its zenith, and a cacophony of sounds has broken through the tranquility of the forest. Jai got woken up by gunshots and found himself shackled inside a wooden cage. Right next to him, in a similar position but still unconscious, was Chayan.
Instinctively knowing that something is awry, Jai takes his time acting. A memory of the events that led them to their current predicament sparked his mind to wander. The last thing he could recall was talking to odd-looking men on the beach after a couple of drinks at the Andaman's biggest nightclub.
Jai noticed that neither his girlfriend, Pooki, nor Hansa, his best friend Chayan's girlfriend, were around.
And as it turns out, kidnapping was nothing compared to what was about to come.

Beautifully Nice
This story really has a unique plot line with some exciting situations in the book. It’s interestingly beautiful while reading this I thought this gonna be, how characters in the book how to try to escape from kidnappers, like, it’s a series of watching escaping rooms, that's what I thought but after a few chapters, the whole story turns into a new and fresh level that will keep you to read more of the book and get to know about what is the ending of the story.
Jay and his friends are enjoying their day while partying with each other drinking and dancing, they are enjoying their days on the island until some people came and kidnap them. They don’t know anywhere where these people came out and kidnapped them, why they did that while trying to escape them they came to find out some mystery things and the point of free from the kidnappers. Will they come out from the island they are now?
How these people are going to survive this mystery yet the thrilling journey of their lives?
This is a good one to read because as a reader I enjoyed the story and gained some knowledge about Hindu mythology, after jay escaping from kidnappers the story will turn into a mythology-based novel and tell you about super interesting things about everything through their story and all.

My interest was maintained throughout as the mysteries unfolded. The plot is riveting, taking you on an extraordinary and terrifying journey to a very unknown island. This is a mystery of how they "escape the Unknown".
The title is appropriate.
The one-after-another twists and turns in the plot keep the reader engaged till the very end of the novel. The characters will remain with me for quite some time.
Although a very good story about survival, the almost super-knowledgable!!

This book starts when four friends (two couples) were kidnapped from their party by some strangers and took them to an unknown Island far away from their hometown and almost unknown to the rest of the world…
This story continues when Jai starts to search for his friends by escaping from the unknown trap and determines to escape from the island they were trapped in… During his journey in this mystical island he meets the number of people , finds the mysteries of the island and the exact reason that why they were trapped. Will Jai able to find his friends and escape this unknown Island?? Can he solve the mysteries in the island and escape with his friends to his hometown??? Why they were kidnapped intentionally??? To find the answers we should definitely read this book…
I totally enjoyed this thrilling, suspenseful and mystical journey of this book. This join is fast paced and every secrets of this journey were unveiled very neatly. The narration and language in this book are simple and beginner friendly. Every character in this book were potrayed very well.
I like the stoyline that were revolving around the arrow and the axe of Parashurama where two groups were fighting to get them. I enjoyed this adventurous journey of Jai whose aim si only to escape the island changes to fight for the natives of the island and their rights from the foreigners…
I'm little bit surprised by some things that were present in this book which gave me a strange feel but when the story continues I eventually relieved from that feel… After this entire journey I felt that the climax could be more energetic and adventurous to take the novel to next level. The climax was good but I felt it can be more better…

With today’s monotonous routine, not all readers want to turn to cosy romance novels for entertainment. They would much rather prefer a rush of adrenaline. This is where a thriller comes in handy! A good thriller novel is full of mystery and dramatic twists and turns that will keeps engrossed and excited. Hence, for some readers, the thriller genre comes as a respite, providing a much-needed escape from mundane daily commitments.
Escaping The Unknown by Jayanth Dev is a thriller novel that tells the story of an island "Unknown". The story revolves around 4 friends Jai, Chayan, Pooki and Harsha who have come to Andaman for a vacation. With a sudden turn, they are kidnapped by people who come all of a sudden from the unknown. None of them knows where they are kept and they just wanted to get away from this situation. But with no hopes, it's Jay who manages to escape. After his escape he founds out more about the tribe who have captured them, he finds out their struggles, their past and the fact that they are separated from the outside world. In the end, Jay becomes the hero of the story as he rescues all from the Sentinel island.
The narration is fast-paced and contrasts with what the reader generally reads. With just around 170 pages this book has clear and lucid language which can be completed in a single sitting. With the precise quantity of twists in the story and apt character development, the story keeps a hook till the end and the author has to be commended for this. The cover image does not let any ideas pop into the mind of what's inside. I feel that some more editing would have helped the book to be its better version.
Overall, a story that pulls the readers into the pages with its exciting twist and turns. A complete fiction bundle for mystery and mythology enthusiasts.

This book started with a very suspenseful vibe and when I read about north sentinel island, my interest in this book raised exponentially!
I’ve read about the island and seen some random videos and a short documentary long back, it has always been very intriguing to me. Mixing that with some Indian mythology made the storyline interesting.
This book has a good balance, just in case you don’t know much about any of the above, still, you’ll enjoy reading it. As it is just 160 pages, you can finish it in one sitting. I would say it makes up a good novella instead of a novel. It is very fast pace made it difficult for me to connect with the characters and some parts were a bit unnecessary in my opinion, but at the same time, it is a good choice if you’re looking for something as a light read. I believe there are some loopholes in the storyline but nothing major, as a short read it is good.

With the world crumbling around it was exciting and nerve racking to see Jai and his friends all abducted and dumped into dangerous path and the gruesome fate that awaited them.
A perfect blend of scarily good world building and character arc, epic twists and turns made this book unputdownable! The writing just flowed without any hitch, I couldn't get enough. Although some parts were too gruesome for my taste, I had a great time reading it. Jayanth Dev paints a intriguing, exciting picture with twists.
It had me questioning, guessing, gasping, I was lost in the book looking for answers.
The story is gritty and intricately designed to evoke strong emotions, the author has the gift of getting right into the plot and truly experiencing it along with the characters. The plot was tightly wound ball of pure intrigue, mystery and chilling twists.And the when the end came I was like SERIOUSLY!
It was fast paced, full of drama that takes you on a baffling rollercoaster ride.Absolutely loved the ending.
I want more!!!!

While vacationing with their life partners, Jai and Chayan find themselves kidnapped in a solicit place, that is one mystery in itself. The girls are nowhere to be found and these two don't even know who their enemies are. There's no way to escape the unknown! Sounds interesting, doesn't it? It was a nice action-packed thriller with mystery, adventure and of course, explicit content. Baccha log, dur rehne ka! The historical and mythological touch was very nicely blended into it. Also, there's a map at the end which helps you with the scenes that are taking place. The little little back stories of each character, beautiful! The mysteries kept unveiling, keeping me engaged throughout. The only things I didn't like was how quickly it finished and I hardly spent a day in that mystery land. It could use a little editing but trust me, that does not put off the story in way.

This tale is about a couple being abducted. They are simply living their lives in peace. One day at a party, something unexpected happens, and then, bang, they fall down a cliff and land on an uninhabited island that is hidden from prying eyes.
One of the characters, Jai, describes his quest to find a way off the island after being dropped off on that uncharted island. I thoroughly enjoyed the mystery and suspense towards the conclusion.
The book's cover conveys a different mood. Overall, this book provides insight into a unique experience.

I started reading this book few days back and finished it today only, it was quite interesting and the way it is written, that was really nice and easy to understand. The narrator of the story really did great work and kuch appreciation for the same
The story goes like, there were two friends, Jay and Chayan, with their girlfriends. They were at a party and after some time they got kidnapped. Jay manages to escape somehow. No one knew where they were. Everyone wants to go home, but they were all confused, rest you can read the story to find out, no more spoilers.

Never have I ever experienced goosebumps from a book but this narrative is bone-chilling. What would you do if you landed on an island where everyone believes there are undiscovered civilizations? Worrying about what might happen if something bad happens on your fun trip.
Even though the plot is unique, it rings true. The plot surprise and clever adaptation of an Indian Hindu epic are both outstanding.
I wish I could give it 10 stars, but I can only offer 5.

Such a mysterious story it is.... Author strongly portrays the characters.
I love the character Jai❤️
I love the way he sum up the story and keep the suspense till end.
The Story is so thrilling . The writing style is wordy and verbose. It's a tremendously page turner book .The author has selected a very simple and realistic plot. The events and twists, the quests and comebacks are convincible. The flips have been presented beautifully. One side, the author has knitted the web intensely, on the other hand he has opened the knot gradually. The language is easy and beginner friendly.
Definitely recommend ❤️ this one.

This book is a short read with an amazing twist, so if you're looking for a quick read, this one's for you. As the story is gripping and has intriguing hooks, you can complete it in one sitting.
When Jai, Chayan, Pooki and Hasna are on a vacation, they find themselves kidnapped in an obscure location. Upon waking up, Jai and Chayan realize that they are handcuffed, while Pooki and Hasna cannot be located. Their enemies are unknown, and the girls are nowhere to be found. This is what they discover on the North Sentinel island.
It's impossible to escape the unknown! It sounds intriguing, doesn't it? In addition to the action-packed plot, there was mystery, adventure, and, of course, explicit material. I liked how the historical and mythological elements were incorporated into it. Also, there is a map at the end that helps you follow the scenes. The book was damn intresting,mix feeling of suspense and thriller...such a excellent story lineup..really loved the book. The book Escaping the unknown is a fictional thriller that describes the story of an island "Unknown".
The story revolves around two bestfriends Jay and Chayan and their girlfriends. They were in a party at Andman but unfortunately, got kidnapped.
No one was knowing where they're. Everyone wants to go back, but there was nothing hopeful, in this situation, Jay somehow manages to escape.
After that he made them all free from that prison of Sentinel island(unknown island). Jay became the hero of the story and reunited all of them. All are free now to spend their lives as per their rules.

Escaping The Unknows is the second novel of Mr. Dev. The story revolves around four friends: Jai who is a composer; his girlfriend Pooki who is a fashion model; Chayan who is Jai’s best friend and a military servant; and his girlfriend Hansa who is a car sales dealer.
The story starts with all four of them partying at the Andaman Islands and then being kidnapped by a stranger to an unknown and deserted island which later turned out to be North Sentinel Island. Jai somehow managed to escape from the island and with the help of various locals and tribal people rescued his friends.
There is a nice blend of mystery, suspense, fiction, adventure, and a bit of mythology. The description of Indian Culture and the addition of historical background breaks the monotonicity and is indeed a cherry on the cake. The narration is fast-paced and the characters are written very nicely. I loved the character transition of Jay from a carefree person to the guy who saved the lives of his friends by escaping the unknowns.

Thrillers are my favourite, and just like that is this story. Two couples and kidnapped and strangled in an unknown island. The island is mysterious and the four of them set out to explore their way back.
They meet a lot of people on the adventurous return escapade and uncover the mysteries of the land. But all this is new to the four of them, will they be able to return or get strangled for their lives in the mystical land? You have to read on to know more.
The way the story was structured was good, with the right amount of twists in the story, keeps your hooked. Character depth should be well appreciated for, the author has done a great job there! I loved the balance the author tried to maintain with the story revolving around so many things pertaining to the mystic island.
Also, I should say the story was quite fast paced. The book has 160 pages and I can assure you will finish it in a day! If you want a good thriller, definitely you can pick this up!

Thrillers are my favorite. The name of the book itself caught my attention: Escaping the unknown.
The story revolves around two couples: Jai and Pooki and Chayan and Hansa. They were having a blast at Andaman's biggest club but something happens towards the end of the night which leads them to an unknown island. They are now trapped on this island. What happens next takes the reader on a whirlwind of events. Will they be able to escape? What will happen next? These questions make you turn the pages with incredible speed. The plot has many twists and turns and keeps you glued to the end. The book truly gave me an adrenaline rush. I think this book is a perfect read for this spooky season. With the right amount of thrill and fun, the book is surely a great read.

I recently watched the Netflix series, “Welcome to Eden,” which is full of thrill, adventure, and action. When I picked “Escaping the Unknown” by “Jayanth Dev. B.K” I got the same vibe from the book. The book starts with suspense when two couples find themselves on an unknown island, far from the outer world. I will not give more details about the story but will say that as the four individuals move forward in the story, they create a thrilling ambiance that makes me read this book in one go.
Fans of crime drama or action-packed thrillers are in for a treat with “Escaping the Unknown” book begins with a bang and continues to entertain with its fast-paced plot until finished. It's one of those books which are hard to classify as one particular genre among mythology, fiction or historical etc. Because it's a complete package. The twists throughout the story. A story with an interesting plotline. The perfect amount of tribal representation.

Escaping the Unknown is a fast-paced mystery set on Sentinal island. As much as I wanted to like this book, it sadly wasn't for me. The enthralling premise of friends being stuck on a mysterious island, fighting for their lives, had me imagining a spectacular plot I would remember for a long time. However, the writing was one of the reasons why I couldn't bring myself to read the book in a single setting.
The characters were uni-dimensional with little growth. The plot also seemed to be haphazardly put together. While the book has potential, it missed its mark. With thorough editing and re-structuring, the book could become a hundred times better.
For now, it wasn't as enjoyable as I wanted it to be.

Not many books combine riveting genres like Mystery, Thriller, Suspense, and Adventure into one volume and can still pull off a story that could make you bound with the characters from start to end. Escaping the Unknown is a fascinating tale about two couples who get kidnapped by unidentified men on a hostile Island and they must embark on a quest to escape and return to their homeland. During their escape, they uncover some mysteries about the island, its extensive history, and the true reason they were kidnapped.
I sincerely love this book, how it started as a typical thriller story where four friends are partying, and having fun and their desire for intoxication drags them into the danger of getting kidnapped by unknown people. The story usually unfolds around the character of Jai, who is the protagonist. Jai somehow escapes from the hands of his kidnappers but still can’t get away from the island, he needs to find his friends, and take care of all the danger threatening his life. As the story moves forward Jai discovers the tribal life residing there, their conflicts, their history, and the fact that they are detached from the outside world.
I want to point out that the author has done a commendable job at introducing pieces of Indian Cultural & Historical Background (Mythology) into the storyline that gives an example of the author’s fondness towards Indian Culture and his vast knowledge about the same. Being a story of a tribe that is separate from the world it still manages to include themes of the present time, which makes the story interesting and also literary rich. The narration of the story is fast-paced, so it never gets boring and manages to deliver a thrilling tone throughout its course. In terms of depiction, all the characters are written stunningly and offer a purpose in the storyline. Putting in simple words it’s a tight story, that is well written from start to end without any loopholes. It gives all its characters the redemption they deserved and ends on a positive note.
If you are a fan of mystery, thriller, suspense, and adventure then this book is for you.

Escaping The Unknown by Jayanth Dev . This book is filled with suspense and thrill. This book is an assortment of only 160 pages . The title and the cover of the book is nice.The story revolves around 4 friends Jai, Chayan, Pooki and Harsha who have come to Andaman for a vacation.And they were having party at Andaman 's biggest night club with a sudden turn, they were kidnapped by the people who come all of a sudden from the unknown. None of them knows where they are kept and they just wanted to get out from this unaware situation.The island was mysterious and the four of them set out to explore their way back,Jay manages to escape in the end,Jay became the hero of the story because he rescued all the prisoners from Sentinel island unknown island.This story was one of a kind with its plot being something I have never explored before with the right amount of twists and turn in this book.This book also have a fictional plot which will definitely keep you hooked till the end.Thus the book is for all those who have the ability to nourish themselves.And the writing style needs some slight improvisation to captivate,Overall it’s an inspirational and motivational book with wonderful ideologies to create ourselves to begin our journey if you want a good thriller, definitely you can pick this up.
