This is just what the doctor ordered as a follow-up novella to Not Broken. While Calida and Mal's story had a satisfactory happily-ever-after at the end of Not Broken, this gives us a spicy taste into how that HEA plays out. Highly recommend for anyone who finds they want more after Not Broken (which will be anyone who read it, trust me! You won't be able to get enough of those two!) So, what are you waiting for? Tuck in and enjoy! A wonderful snuggle-up-and-read indulgence!

Today’s book review is exceptionally exciting for me (and I basically function as an ADHD Tigger on crack so when I am exceptionally excited… well let’s just say watch out) on several levels.
First and foremost, it features my darling Malcolm Frankel in his leading role as my husband… errr… I mean Calida’s husband. Yeah. Her. Malcolm is special and amazing and precious and completely taken by me.
Second, it is an extension of the happily ever after Calida and Mal found in NOT BROKEN. Now if you’ve paid attention to my reviews AT ALL, I am a huge believer in the HEA. Not HFN, not a cliffhanger, a full on puppies-and-babies-and-rings-and-weddings level HEA. If you find yourself in a diabetic coma by the end add just a little more sweet and I might be happy. But getting a glimpse into the after of happily ever after warms the cockles of my disgustingly romantic heart.
Finally, this release marks the first book baby that I pushed my heart out to see come to fruition. At the end of NOT BROKEN I (rather shamelessly, I might add) begged and pleaded with Ms. James to take something she had teased about through NOT BROKEN – Calida and Mal’s kinky bucket list – and give a little more insight into what exactly that might entail. Because when you combine Mal and sex I am completely all in and need ALL the details. Out of the kindness of her fabulously wonderful smutty writing heart, she caved and now THE LISTS has been released. You are all very welcome. Because, trust me, you will be wanting to thank somebody for molten sex Ms. James weaves with such talent.
Now, you must get thee to Amazon and order THE LISTS for a fabulous read that is just the distraction needed from family and holidays and drama and stress. If you don’t already own a copy of NOT BROKEN, order one of those while you’re at it. You will NOT be disappointed.

I read and enjoyed Not Broken, but I didn't realize how much I truly missed Malcolm and Calida. Reading more of their HEA in The Lists was so meaningful and satisfying. The sex was, of course, hot because one expects nothing less from Meka James, but this novella was so emotionally satisfying. I love seeing a married couple be married, but happy and moving forward and growing together. This was a light, fun, creative read that super made my night and I'm so happy it exists.

THE LISTS by Meka James is a wonderful story, allowing us to revisit the main characters from FIENDISH and NOT BROKEN, but in a lighter setting. Calida and Mal have found their happily ever after, and now are exploring each other in the bedroom in creative ways. While Ms. James writes a steamy sex scene, she also manages to show the emotional intimacy of this relationship in this hot, fun novella. A perfect, quick, sexy read for contemporary romance lovers!

The Lists is a quick, satisfying story for readers of James's Fiendish and Not Broken. Now that they've reached their happily ever after, Calida and Malcolm exchange lists of kinky activities that they'll try together. But it's not just a sexy romp--although Ms. James knows how to write a hot sex scene!--because Calida and Malcolm grow closer as they explore intimacy in new ways. We see this couple, who have overcome so much both individually and together, open up, build trust, and further strengthen their relationship. A heartwarming story with the fan-yourself fun you can expect from Meka James.

Oh my goodness! *Fans herself* It was so much fun to see Malcolm and Calida again and in all their marital hot glory. This was a fun and easy read with plenty of steamy scenes. I tore through this book and recommend it for those days when you want to read something for entertainment. Ms. James has mastered the art of drawing out they sexy times, I will be looking for her new releases in 2019!

This was such a delightful added treat after the wonderful experience that was Not Broken. I fell hard for Malcolm and his Ginger in that book, and this was the perfect whipped cream with a cherry on top to round out their story. This is a quick and enjoyable read. It can work as a standalone, but pairs divinely as a sort of extended epilogue to Not Broken.

Our couple keeps a mason jar of to-do items, but not just any items make the list. Only kinky ones.
This is a sequel/follow on to Not Broken by this author, but it works just fine as a standalone. I have not read the previous book and had no problem following this one.
Obviously I cannot speak of the original story, but this one is very steamy. Think of it as an extended epilogue where you get to see more of the couple after they reached their HEA in the previous book. The story is well written with two well developed characters, but then that is to be expected in a sequel. The story also has lots of steam and no angst, making it a wonderfully relaxing and fun read.

I am soooo happy I read this! There are so many cases where you would read another part of a book series and it jumps into a whole new set of characters or the characters that were briefly mentioned in the first book. However, this book continues with the same characters and tells you an update on life after marriage. The only issue is that I wished it were longer. Like, what happens after she has the baby? What is the next step?

I loved how much this couple loved and respected each other from the first page to the last. Malcolm loves his wife Ginger to the moon and back. The characters are well developed and engaging and the chemistry is explosive. The flow of the is well done.

Short, erotic, great read.
Content warning - surprise pregnancy at the end (well for one of the main characters). The lack of consent annoyed me and took away from the rest of the story which was great.

It was nice to catch up with Malcolm and Calida in this novella. This was a fun, quick read. Note: For mature readers only; this novella contains explicit sexual content.
