Juniper Holiday’s annual Valentines Day party is all about love and romance... and this year, it’s also about murder.
When the grand prize winner is found dead in the bathroom, there are very few clues as to who did it. With a house full of guests, there are plenty who had means and opportunity, but who had motive?
Detective Mallard is already in trouble with his boss, so he needs to solve this one fast... even if that means getting some help from the mansion ghosts.
And just when Juniper thinks she has it all figured out, she discovers that making the wrong assumptions can be deadly.

It is so hard to find mystery books with a holiday theme. Sure, you can find lots with Christmas as a background, but not so many for other holidays. That is one reason I love this series. You get a great cozy-mystery and a holiday background. The mystery is not that complicated, after all these books are more of a novella length. The narration is great, Kasey Logan does a splendid job. I love the byplay between Junie and Det. Desmond Mallard. Those two are determined not to work together in any way, if they can avoid it. I would love to see the relationship between Tori and Desmond move a little faster, though.
It's Valentine's Day and, of course, Juniper Holiday is having a blowout party and a date with the hottest guy in town is the grand prize of the raffle. The other prizes aren't too shabby either, after all this is a Juniper Holiday party. And as with past parties someone is murdered.
Detective Mallard has been warned not to involve Junie in his investigation by his boss, whom Junie affectionately calls Stompy. He is a rather heavy-footed guy. The victim is the grand prize winner and there is no shortage of suspects, the house was full. After a few false starts, Junie thinks she has it all figured out, but does she?
A cozy murder mystery centered around Valentines Day. It was alright, but I felt it lacked substance & it all was a little too smooth/easy towards the end. Love the witty banter though!

It's Valentine's Day and, of course, Juniper Holiday is throwing another of her over the top holiday parties. This time there's a raffle and the grand prize is an all-expense paid date with one of the hottest guys in town. But of course, there's a murder - the grand prize winner is found dead in the bathroom.
It's a fun little mystery. Juni is determined to solve the case, but she also needs to step carefully because Detective Mallard's job might be on the line. As much as the two bicker, she doesn't want to ruin his career, especially because her goddaughter and he have a bit of an attraction going.
The story moves along quickly. At first we have a couple of suspects, but little else to go on. Juni tries a bit of magic and talks to the ghosts, but it takes some old-fashioned detective work to get to the solution.
I listened to the audio and I must have gotten used to the narrator, because she barely annoyed me at all this time. I'm a little sad this is the last in the series. I always enjoy holiday cozies.
My Fatal Valentine is Book 5 in the Juniper Holiday Cozy Mystery Series.
This book can definitely be read as a stand-alone, but I love all the holiday mysteries in this series.
Juniper is having one of her famous parties, for Valentine's Day, and sadly there is another murder.
Juniper and her goddaughter Tori are trying to find out who the murderer is, but the detective is close on their heels, if he doesn't solve this before Juni, he might lose his job.
I loved this book the characters are so much fun! The mystery kept me guessing, I was really surprised when the murdered was revealed. I really like the aspect of the ghosts in the story, it really adds a lot to the story.
I actually give this book 2 stars, but I’m adding one star because of the scene where a character slipped to her death on Valentine’s Day chocolates, which literally made me laugh out loud 😆 This is everything you expect the book to be. Stupid and cheesy to the extreme. I only picked it up because I needed a Valentine’s Day-themed book for one of my reading challenges this year and I found this one on a whim. I think I would’ve liked it more if I knew this was part of a series going in and I was more familiar with the characters and how these books are organized and laid out, but I still had fun reading it!

My Fatal Valentine is the 5th book in the Juniper Holiday series.
Juniper is hosting a Valentine's Gala with prizes for the winners of a raffle. With the top prize being a romantic date. The proceeds from the raffle go to a charity. While waiting for the winner and her date to leave, Tiffany is running late for her winning prize. After a search of the mansion, they find Tiffany in the ladies, and she won't be going on any more dates again. Yep, Juniper's latest party ends with another murder.
My Fatal Valentine is Book 5 in the Juniper Holiday Cozy Mystery Series. I liked this story. It can be read as a standalone but you’ll miss the back stories of Juniper, Tori, and Desmond. The characters are developing and adjusting to each other.
The ending was a little surprising and I am looking forward to the next installment. I was given an advanced readers‘ copy and these are my own opinions.
Another great mystery for Juniper to investigate! This is a fun read. Interesting paranormal additions. Main characters all have very different personalities, but blend well. Mystery holds your attention until the end. Another party murder solved. Can’t wait to see what happens at the Easter scavenger hunt!
I’ve been hate reading this series since October and I have to say I’m a little sad there aren’t anymore. How messed up is that? With several mentions of an Easter egg hunt in this book I wonder why the author hadn’t written anymore in this series? Oh well. I am sure I can find better ways to spend a few hours each month.
Another cute cozy mystery in this series. I always love a mystery, but too many of the grisly ones in a row can make my head hurt. This series is perfect without being too complicated and the characters are hilarious.
This book was pretty good. This is the fifth installment in the Juniper Holiday Cozy Mystery Series. The story was well-written, well-paced, and entertaining. Worth the time to read. I'm hoping my library obtains other books written by this author.
This appears to be the end of the series while there we're several mentions of planning Easter Scavenger Hunt, I don't see where author has it planned.
Which is fine. Over all I've enjoyed but it's getting repetitive
I'm going to inc!ude this series as a ritual to my holiday ritual. Its that good. My smiles and laughs are so helped with these books during a stressful holiday times!
