Foundling

Such a short word, life , but it contains so many feelings of experiences that when describing only one day, you could write a whole book. Believe me, I’ve known a few of such days, so I have to share my experience with you. Because it is impossible to keep all these moments in my thoughts. It is very interesting but if you think about it, each person has his own life story. Sometimes they are so unique and rare, that you want to share. Because the feelings we have experienced at one time, or another gave us life lessons. So, I hope that my life lessons will help my readers to properly understand the difficult moments of life.
I decided to call my book “ Foundling ” (an infant found abandoned) because this word has haunted me throughout my life.
I am a foundling. All my life, I have been haunted by such feelings as defenselessness, loneliness, fear, hunger, a cold bed, and having no one around to tell you “I love you,” no one around to give you advice, or protect you. Over time, I stopped thinking about all these feelings; I just got used to living without them. I learned to hide my tears; I forgot what joy and smiles were.
You will meet a girl who finds it difficult to be a child, who does not know what love of trust and happiness are. How hard it is for this girl to understand and forgive her mother and her father when they finally decided to appear in her life.
Over time, I realized that I was missing three common
1. That someone to hug you wholeheartedly.
2. That someone to kiss you from the bottom of their heart.
3. That someone to tell you I love you.
And only after that, do you begin to believe in yourself, hopes for your happy future, and of course, love those who helped you understand these three feelings.
It’s so scary to be foundling. If I write one thousand books about it, I will not be able to describe all the problems I have, all the hurtful feelings I experienced.
In this book, I put 50% of the truth, and the second half of the book consists of my dreams of a happy life.
If I wrote only the truth in this book, everyone who is reading it would have only one How is this possible?
In Russia we have a “Where you were born, there you will be useful.” Do not believe in this, look for the place that will bring you happiness and love. Every person has such a place, it just needs to be found.

Munching her freshly baked muffin and humming over her tea, she enjoyed the silence of the early morning. Suddenly she heard a faint, unfamiliar sound for which she wasn't prepared. She stopped and listened, but it was quiet. She froze in anticipation of its recurrence. Then she heard it again – something like the meow of a kitten. Polina stood up, went down the stairs into the courtyard, and listened again. It seemed as though the sound was of a cat giving birth to kittens in the yard somewhere, but she couldn't see where.
It's coming from the gate! She realized. She hurried back, opened it the gate, and saw a large bundle lying at her feet. What is this? A quilt? she wondered. Leaning forward and parting a layer of fabric, her eyes met the shining eyes of an infant. The child was not crying, it was of the age when it had just learned to utter the first sounds of language, and it greeted her with expressions of baby talk. She took an instinctive step back in shock. In great confusion and deep concern, Polina walked out on the sidewalk, peering in all directions and hoping to catch sight of someone. But to her great regret, she never saw anyone anywhere.

I really enjoyed this book. I immediately connected with Mila and I felt like I could feel what she was going through especially with her mother. I think little Mila handled it better than I would have! I also loved Mila grandparents maybe just as much as she did. This book really was wonderful.
