This book provides a concise summary of key traits and behaviors that help identify narcissistic individuals, and its points on recognizing them are accurate and straightforward. However, the tone felt overly angry at times, which detracted from its overall impact. While it offers valuable insights, the emotional tone might not resonate with all readers. A quick and useful read for those seeking a basic understanding of narcissism.

I recommend EVERYONE read this book at least once. Be aware. Protect yourself. It’s a super informative and quick read. Hang on to it, you never know when you might cross paths with one. They can be very dangerous and rock your entire world upside down.

Very good

A very good and precise view of narcissism. An easy read with examples that will shock you because it all happened to you.

I wasn't crazy after all...

This was the simplest explanation for the confusion I endured for 11.5 years of a 13-year marriage (I woke up). I now believe he is insane, and my stomach turns at the sight or voice of him. He would be mean, then travel for work and bring souvenirs and thank me for allowing his travel. This book really demystified many points of confusion I had. He was mean at home, nice elsewhere. When I realized that, I stopped going in hopes he would see the error of his ways. I think that's when it went into discard...he didn't have the happily married appearance and would only show up with the kids or alone. He would try to get me to go and finally saw I meant no. I stopped cooking and cleaning like hired help...the final straw was being fearful that he was going to hurt me, so I left. I came to get my stuff, which was let him know I was finally done. He now has waged war...but I'm OUT and recovering and mourning what was hoped for, not what was lost. This book helped me accept the subtle horror I lived in...and helped me know my story is just as important!

excellent self- help book

A great account of someone who had experience in dealing with that type of people . Some time ago I nearly married a narcissist but something in his behaviour made me stop short of it . At that time so wasn’t sure what it was but something seemed a bit odd in his behaviour. For many years I was wondering what was that or perhaps I misunderstood something. And it is only now I came across that personality disorder , that book explained a lot to me , all the red flags were there . Thank you to the author for sharing her experience !
