和残疾巨佬闪婚后 [After a Flash Marriage with the Disabled Tyrant]

Rate this book
English title: After a Flash Marriage With the Disabled Tyrant

Shi Yunnan was sent out of the country by his parents since he was young, and lived like an unloved child, but he still played around wantonly and relied on his appearance to make trouble~

As a result, he was deceived by his elders into returning home and was informed that he was about to marry the young master of the Luo family.

“What kind of feudalistic ideology is this? It’s outrageous!”

Shi Yunnan packed his luggage that night, planning to escape the next day, but when he fell asleep, he dreamed of a terrible scenario——

He dreamed that his life was just a supporting character in a book. Because he didn’t get along with the protagonist who transmigrated into the book, he eventually ended up in a situation of being forsaken by everyone.

All tragedies began with this willful escape from marriage.

After waking up, Shi Yunnan hadn’t had the time to let everything sink in when he was blocked at the door of his own house——

“Second young master Shi thinks that our Luo family is not worthy of you?”

The man in front of him had a heavenly face, his temperament was abstinent and outstanding. His whole body was wrapped in luxurious outfits. Even those long legs, which relied on wheelchairs, wildly shook second young master Shi’s aesthetic point.

Sigh, I’m a good boy who listens to his parents and matchmakers!

Shi Yunnan pretended to be reserved for three seconds, then nodded like a chicken pecking on rice, “Worthy, of course, you’re worthy! Is the wedding banquet ready? Husband~”

The man stared at his smiling face and answered subtly, “Let’s do it this evening.”

This story has just the right amount of fluff, face-slapping, and heartbreaking moments (no angst). The couple is very likable, especially the MC, who’s resilient and a total badass, and the devoted ML, who lives with a disability. Together, they face betrayal and personal growth. The plot is packed with revenge drama and satisfying wins, and even though it has a few familiar tropes, it still manages to be really entertaining.

Fun, light-hearted (mostly), and lots of face-slapping like wow. Was pretty fun to see all the villains and rude people put in their place, but after the 5th time the same villain is slapped back it got a little tedious. Still, would recommend to anyone looking for sometimes light.

[After a Flash Marriage With the Disabled Tyrant]

i like how mc despite knowing that there's white moonlight inside ml's heart (not knowing that it's actually him 😂), he can be rational and see how ml treat him well, not as substitute. and the revenge, super satisfied! mc is one that know how to stand by himself, given that he already independent in early age. never bow down when someone bullied him. and ml just fully supporting him and helped him. he also clingyy, and truly appreciated ml and little goldfish as he finally have someone to called family and place to call home. love these three ❤️

the mtl also super easy to read.

3.75⭐ Age-gap romance (both adults). Contract Marriage. Found Family. Childcare. Face-slapping.
I like how this has all the tropes above without being overly dramatic. It's full of funny and heartwarming moments. The romance was sweet. There are a few misunderstandings but both parties have a mature approach.

I'm giving it two stars while being greatly generous.

Everywhere the MC went there was some type of event happening. Some random person had beef with him. Like why is he so important in other people's eyes. It was to the point of being ridiculous.

It's so unrealistic. I can't believe I read it to the end. Mostly, I continued because I found the repeated bullshit so fucking funny. Again and again the villains would do unspeakably dumb shit. It was crazy.

The random bouts of violence with every confrontation is also baffling. Like the MC just goes around slapping and beating people up when they were just being verbally abusive. Or if not the MC then someone from his side.

What a disaster. 2 stars for the vague amusement that this ridiculous book gave me.

Cuteness factor for that kid was high but then I realized that he's 5. Bro no 5 year old is going to be that articulate or that well-behaved. He was far too mature. Absolutely unrealistic. I want children to act their own age and not be "mature" and "too smart" for their own age.

Like all rich people have ghis one special kid in books. Please give me a fucking break.

I didn't like the way they portrayed the ML's disability as a thing that stopped him from protecting the MC and a thing that made him inferior??? Like what in the fresh hell. The fact that he was cured irked me terribly as well. Why not empower him and let him be at peace with himself even if he can't walk. He's not less. But alas, the entire book was saying "DISABILITY BAD" except for the fucking MC.

This book is not worth the read.

It started out great, I really love shameless MCs. When they are strong and smart enough to defend themselves but act pitiful when the ML appears, and in this case our ML just found his acting cute so he played along.....

Things I liked about this novel:
- proper development of the ML's disability treatment.... His legs needed a lot of care and we could see his frustration and anxiety with how slow it was. That made the character appear more human, and we can see a different side to the typical OP and cool ML.
- the way they dealt with the antagonists, they took proper and legal steps whenever they could, and it seemed more mature and realistic.
- little goldfish!!!! Totally stole the show each time he made an appearance... Him working as his uncle wingman was way too adorable....

Spoiler

- the fact that the main leads called for professional help for little goldfish after his kidnapping was refreshing to see.

End of spoiler

Now for reasons I had to give less stars.
- halfway through, the pacing of the story wasn't as smooth, at times it was really slow and boring and then it would pick up only to slow down again. I even considered dropping the novel
- whether it be for the antagonists or other side characters, their story seemed to be important only when the main leads where on scene... Many of the follow ups where shallow and perfunctory.

One thing that did distracted me, was the fact that the author sometimes didn't take into account that many of the places they went to most likely didn't have access for wheelchair, and I was like " he never has a problem or get's stuck anywhere.... There was even once when they go to an auction and they choose seats, and I just kept thinking" how did the ML manoeuvred his way in there... The spaces between the seats probably weren't that wide.... "

But well, overall it was an ok read... With interesting and refreshing things...
As for the extras, I didn't care for them, skipped most and didn't read the "what if".... I was actually waiting for a follow up on the side characters stories.... Shame...

I shed tears at the sight of brothers that don't a) want to fuck each other up or b) want to fuck each other. Of course, you do have the side couple that has that, but eh it's not too relevant nor are they blood-related, so I'm willing to keep one eye open and close the other one. The twin's relationship is so good I was genuinely worried that the author would pull a fast one and make them fight like how the MC does with literally every other relative he has.

it's a standard face-slapping (like genuinely, there's a lot of physical face-slapping in this one not just metaphorically) revenge story where MC and ML are cool and stuff.

MC is cool, ML is cool, MC's brother is one of the best blood-related brothers I've read of for a long time now, and his best friend is well there. he's cool ig? and his other newer friend that he kinda snatched from the antagonist shou is very cute. I want to give him a hug. but I fear his adopted older brother/ lover (yeah you're gonna have to get used to pseudo-incest in Danmeis.) he's also pretty good though so I don't have too much of a dislike for him

THE LITTLE NEPHEW. MY BELOVED LITTLE GOLDFISH. XIAO JINGYU I ADORE HIM SO MUCH I'M WILLING TO DIE FOR HIM. like genuinely if you read this you'll definitely fall in love with him and his pure wholesomeness. I can't even get mad when he accidentally cockblocks the main couple multiple times cus he's just so damn cute. the best wingman ever honestly. i'd read a book just about him if i could

Auuu their little family is so cute, little goldfish is the best baby!! I might rate it more of a 3.5, only because some parts did feel like they dragged a little bit bc it felt a bit repetitive. Other than that it was a really fun read and I really adored Shi Yunnan and Luo Lingsheng!!

Luo Lingsheng chugs excessive amounts of vinegar on the daily, he is so possessive, which is fun to read! I only thought it was a bit weird for him to collect the album of Shi Yunnans photos before they were together or even friends. I know it was only publicly posted or published stuff he got the photos from but it’s still a bit weird to me that he collected them all and put them into an album before they were together. In any case, at least Shi Yunnan had no problems with it since he wasn’t taking secret photos.

They really were a sweet couple and i’m glad that their family got to be happy in the end without all those nuisances left to harm them!! Would consider reading it again, but might end up just going back to the extras or certain parts since some parts were a bit slow for me.

I also wanted to note, I saw a lot of reviews complaining about the dog blood drama int he novel lololol but I don’t really think you should expect anything less if you read the synopsis. It is literally the description of an expected heavily dramatized novel. I was looking forwards to that, so I honestly enjoyed that part.

The amount of face-slapping was perfect and I really liked the way both MC and ML's relationship was explored naturally and how the found family trope was truly a solid aspect of this book. The chapters weren't too many to make things boring at the end, but yes things got inevitably predicatable the more I got invested into reading this, but both MC and ML has such a steady and mature approach to their relationship that even their daily interaction were really sweet to see. I loved how Yunnan got more comfortable to let Lingsheng in the more their relationship progressed, and it's plenty sweet to see Lingsheng being a doting partner to Yunnan who hadn't had a taste of that due to his horrible family. Jinyu was soooo cute too; he definitely added the necessary flair to this wholesome family and I'd say this book was worth the read because the central characters has such a fluffy and heartwarming setting despite the numerous existences of their enemies in between lol. The extras were really good too, I especially enjoyed the 'What If' chapters because it was just too sweet!

BEWARE of SPOILER

In short, it was about a contract marriage between MC and ML and how their feelings blossomed into something more.

What I wanted to talk about was the extras. Extras were usually written to share what happened after the 'happily ever after' or side couples. Instead, the writer decided to take a different approach. Part 1 was Patriarch Luo's Unrequited Love. We already have bits and pieces of this in the main story. Even though it was sweet, I did not want to walk down memory lane. Part 2 was Affectionate Cub Raising. By the title alone you probably should know that it was about them raising their nephew which was also in the main story. Part 3 was What If. It features the probability of the main couple not separating after they met the first time. Where were my side couples? I was looking forward to getting more about them and was given none. *sigh*

I liked it, but it was a basic ass plot of the same issue being repeated every single time. These people would walk to the park and have a large family drama and somehow it was the same formula. The thing is I have read multiple Chinese webnovels/manhuas with this formula, so I knew what to expect by chapter 5...
Even though Shi Yunnan was amazing, and I love him and his two friends; the rest was meh. Luo Lingshen is basic as fuck (and his whole unrequited longing whatever was weak, sorry): I liked him but don't expect much.

It was good, awfully long, but funny with the outstanding amount of face-slapping.

Also, if you want some good disabled MC and good unrequited longing and game of thrones level of face slapping (also better quotes and better characters), I introduce you to: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/5...
Thank me later,
Sabrina.

I really liked Shi Yunnan's wholesome relationship with his brother and his found family. Instead of the usual being competitive and jealous of your sibling, especially in wealthy families, you have brothers who support and care for each other. Little Goldfish was super cute and lovable, too!

Shi Yunnan's playfulness and Luo Lingsheng's endless doting was also pretty fun. The misunderstandings between them weren't too unrealistic and just to get the plot going.

There's a lot of faceslapping, which was great, but it did get tiring since it happened so often. Like, Shi Yunnan would run into a fight almost anytime he went out somewhere, which seemed overdone and unnecessary.

I DIDNT ACTUAALY READ THIS.

im jsut using this as a place holder for another book with a SIMILAR NAME, 烈火熔金 (暴君分化成omega以后) aka After The Tyrant Differentiated into an Omega.

tbh it was going good. i liked the world-building and how in depth everything was but the romance was just PAINFULLY slow, reviews say the romance happens in chapter 220/245?? and the chapters are super long. i just couldn’t hold on and got bored sorryyy. if a book like this with a little more romance preferably not in the end of the book i would loveit. also there was an instance of racism/colorism.

3.5 𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒔

“—𝑇ℎ𝑎𝑛𝑘 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑟𝑒𝑐𝑜𝑔𝑛𝑖𝑧𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑚𝑦 𝑒𝑥𝑖𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑛𝑐𝑒 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑔𝑢𝑎𝑟𝑑𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑚𝑦 𝑜𝑛𝑐𝑒 𝑔𝑙𝑜𝑜𝑚𝑦 𝑙𝑖𝑓𝑒.”

This is the third novel I've read by this author, and honesty, my tip is to just read with your heart and not your brain. This is probably my favourite one so far because it's a lot shorter, so I didn't actually get bored halfway through ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I've forgotten a lot of the story - due to the fact that I binge-read it in like 2 days - but I have no regrets apart from the fact that my mum will be absolutely fuming at my exam results (ó﹏ò。)

I loved the chemistry between the leads, and I'm giving bonus points for that one little goldfish out there (*´∀`)~♥

3.5/5

The problem with this book like other reviewers have pointed out was the amount of face slapping. each chapter there was some problem where the Shou had to prove someone wrong and that too with the help of his wealthy partner. It got boring way too quickly. also I loved the nephew but I found it icky how the gong (the uncle) would get jealous over the nephew, who was a literal orphan, like wtf be more mature pls

It’s a fast read. It’s a less than 100 chapters BL novel about two lonely protagonists who came together after both lost loved ones in their youth. It’s worth 4 stars for the tight face slapping. It’s worth 5 stars for the very sweet and slow build romance that comically starts in chapter 1, setting a positive tone for the rest of the novel. Worth reading at least once.

2 stars for the plot + 1 star for the kid.

Repetitive dog food, face slapping with dumb revenge plots. I kinda liked the MC and ML but not too much. The ML's nephew stole the spotlight and gave the necessary comedic relief. Honestly this should have had double transmigration, would've had some twist. Overall a 3 stars, since it did help me cope during my exam prep time.

This was a very basic revenge face slapping story. The author adds a bit of transmigration but it wasn't really used.
I got exactly what I expected from this reading experience, but hoped for a bit more...

it has so much heart, and the extras were extremely sweet. the only reason it's not rated higher is that for me, the length is too long when padded with repetitive face-slapping. it's stronger when it's just about shi yunnan & luo lingsheng.

Basic face-slapping revenge plot. There were some sweet moments with the little nephew and thankfully there were not many misunderstandings between the main pairing, but it got stale fast.
