I read most of the Pook books when I was in my early twenties. Thirty or more years on, I find the humour (which, for me, was always 'laugh-out-loud' bac then) more hit and miss. But I very much enjoyed re-visiting this one, which, at times, has some wonderful observation and plenty of hilarious incidents.
