Naughty or Nice is a second chance, enemies to lovers holiday trope. The idea of this is wonderful but the presentation fell short. It needs to go through more edits before officially being published. “Been” is used instead of “being” throughout the book. There are multiple run on sentences. The characters were a little over the top and unbelievable.

Nurse Laney needs a fake boyfriend, and she gets it in the form of Dr. Beau, a man she's hated/lusted for years, and rightly so if you look at their history. Nevertheless, she goes into business with him and with the necessary struggles they manage to stay together. Sounded like a nice story, but I was a bit disappointed. In terms of content, I think it's a pity that it has to be another female nurse with a handsome male doctor, why not let the female protagonist be a doctor in a more emancipated way. Laney also melts a bit too easily for Dr Beau. The main characters did not appeal tor me, nor did the side characters. But my main problems lie with the writing style, very long sentences, slow paced, no build-up of tension, unfortunately I found it uninteresting and not well written.

It's not worth wasting your time to read. The grammar is so bad it is hard to figure out what is being said. For instance, throughout the story 'been' is used when the word should be 'being'. And many other wrong words are used. The sentences are very, very compound. One sentence lasted for 3 pages. I never did figure out what the theme of the book was.
A little sexual harassment goes a long way in this tale filled with snarky banter and heated moments. Laney and Beau went on a single date in Uni, after spending many evenings together in the library. Young and stupid, he deliberately acted out and hurt her. Hence the snarky banter they engage in today, when she deigns to speak to him at all. Her desperate need to take a mate home for the holidays gives him the perfect opportunity to try to get on her good side. And boy does he? Day one he's got her wrapped in his arms. He's determined to make her declare the love he knows she feels. Why else would she be so angry with him?
Loyal friends who stand by you no matter what. Abominable family members who just might have gone truly insane from undercooked lamb. The Hunger Games?! Imaginative but very disturbing. The makings of the perfect Xmas story? I think not. But this was a good read nonetheless.

I do enjoy a good enemies to lovers story, but found myself distracted by run on sentences and spelling mistakes. After a good polish, this gem will be able to shine.
Laney is trying to find a pretend date to take to her family's Christmas get together. She hopes this will prevent excessive matchmaking. She convinces her friend and co-worker Ethan to attend. He agrees quite reluctantly as he is happily married.
One of Laney's other co-workers, Beau, argues he would be a good stand in, but they had an unfortunate date years earlier and Laney is still mad. Beau would like a second chance and switches places with Ethan to try to convince Laney to change her mind...

It started on a good note and I was excited to read it. I felt the banter between Laney and Beau was amusing and fun, until the Christmas weekend begins and for me everything goes downhill from there. Everything is just so fast and unbelievable. I felt it’s an X-rated children’s tale. Even the intimate scenes felt awkward and pushed. I did not even start talking about the grammatical and spelling errors, that was just so annoying, sometimes in a paragraph I need to assume who is talking and to do that I would reread it to comprehend. I know it’s an ARC and would still need to be edited but it needs a rewrite not just an edit.
New to me author and I don’t think I’ll be trying again. I hate writing negative reviews but I was really disappointed.

I give this book a 3.75 stars. It was okay. I felt like it was too long. The chapters were confusing because I didn't know which character pov it was... Lancey annoyed me. Maybe it was because I didn't like miscommunication troupe. I wouldnt consider it being a enemies to lovers since she was the only one that hated him.
I would say the spicy scenes were pretty great.
Over all, I would recommend this book if they like miscommunication tropes.
This novel was a cute romance that combines second chance and enemies to lovers tropes together. While I know we women hold a grudge, in this book Laney may take it a bit too far. At some point you just have to let it go. While Beau does seem pretty nice in this book I can’t imagine pining for someone for 5 years….especially a gorgeous doctor. I really wanted to like the book it just didn’t hook me like I had hoped. Overall a cute story but it just needed a bit more action to liven it up!
