A daring operation half a world away devolves into a full-scale crisis that escalates rapidly, requiring the clan's full might and technological wizardry to manage and survive.Hardened by duty and tragedy, Jade is driven by a burning desire for revenge. When Phinas saves her second-in-command, Jade's gratitude quickly becomes something more.
I love how we are getting some war scenes. I’m sure more is to come since a lot is left to unfold. Could jade have finally found a man as equal to her that could possible smooth her rough edges?
I've really enjoyed reading I. T. Lucas books I read 1 a month would love to have a full book to savor. I've gotten really rapped up in the characters .Looking forward to the next great read.
Ok I'm horrible at rating books .And horrible with punctuation... This author just mesmerized me..I blazed through these books like no tomorrow!.seriously no tomorrow!..Lucas knows something we all wish we knew! Absolutely dig in and enjoy steamy sex encounters and dream of a fantastical reality that probably isn't as far fetched as one would believe...I absolutely believe that this is the best series I've picked up yet,on Amazon! I am absolutely in awe that I caught up to the next read...February 11th dang that's along time..... I'm not giving anything away here ....If you want an escape and if you have beliefs that are not the norm...you love hot steamy sex.. Then this series is for you..Lucas delivers a brilliant landscape of WHAT IF..And My mind boggles me how it stays so together and time lines etc..ya I am a Big fat fan...And it's not just about steamy sex..It's a long Millennium long devotion of saving our sorry ass's and of Loyalty of Family and true Love.....Yep I suck at saying brilliant work I love IT Lewis...Bring Us More!! You have made my mind question a few things I Already was questioning... Maybe I'm not alone after all.. I want a Yamani !Well any one of the Guardians seriously I'm ruined for the male human species..yepp no-one can replace your characters.... Escape reality in these books its most graphic and sexy and just downright interesting page turner yes....So I'm shutting up now how was my review???
I’ve been waiting a long time for Jade to get her reprieve. She might be made of titanium and diamonds, but for crying out loud – give a girl a break! She’s made of the good stuff, but she hasn’t been appraised and valued for her absolute worth.
Until Phinas. Thank. The. Fates. If he doesn’t make the perfect velvety background to her diamond-shine, I don’t know who would.
With the assistance of Kian’s Clan and Kalugal’s Men, these Kindred Souls help lead an exodus away from Igor’s compound and, hopefully, out of reach of his enslaving compulsion. Will the Fates part the waters to let these people go?
Not yacht, but maybe schooner than later.
I like that the author includes a lot of details, whether it’s how a ship can sustain the comfort of over 400 passengers or the steps it takes to strategize precautions against impending doom, because I have an analytical brain that cares. I like the tastefully done and genteelly worded intimate bits, the slow burns and the sauna steam. IT Lucas’s main characters are always likable, her world is 100% livable (just don’t get captured by the Brotherhood), and the drama is delightful. I’m sure I’m not the only one who wants to see this unfold on film.

Dark Alliance, Kindred Souls KU 303 pgs *** 1/9/23 Phinas & Jade
3 stars. More excitement with the Kra-ells, building a trust whether true or façade, only time will tell. Again Kian is in the book along with some of the other originals. Possible threats from Igor even though silent, still a big threat with the immortals helping the Kra-ell and others from their compound. Jade was confused a lot over feelings that she wasn’t used to having because there was so much hate and vengeance in her heart. Most of the book was spent planning the extraction of Igor’s camp safely and to plan on a defensive move should Igor attack in any way. Most of that was okay but a little boring and seemed to be repeated. Phinas & Jade became closer and there was more trust between them once they were together a few times but the cultures between them were hard for either of them to accept completely. This book did move the story forward and I am looking forward to seeing the Kra-ell, hybrids and humans get to a safe place so they can live life as they want.
They made it to the boat without incident. Still no sign of Igor. Vaskar hasn’t revealed any new information.
Jade and Phinas are getting closer. Sophia hasn’t transitioned. More information was revealed about the home planet, but Jade is still keeping the royal twins a secret. They started scanning for trackers.
I believe Igor is a hybrid of god and Kra-ell. I also believe the royal twins are as well considering how they were raised and always hidden. Something also made me feel that Igor may have been one of them, but Jade said she knew their gait… but her observation, or lack thereof, of Igor to recognize it could have been clouded by her anger at what he did to her tribe’s males. Also, with the information gleaned about the trackers, he knew about them whereas Jade did not.
Anyway. See my notes and highlights on Goodreads. Happy reading.
I was pleasantly surprised by book 68 focusing on Jade and Phinas! I honestly thought that there would be no male that could peak Jades interest so thought this book would be about her Second and the male that saved her life during the fight. So when I started the story and realized it was Jade, I didn’t know what to expect. But you know, in true I. T. Lucas fashion, this story had me from the beginning. Understanding Jade, how she has grown from the experience with Igor, learning more of the Kra-ell/ Gods history was fantastic. Then to top it all off FINALLY another of Kalugal’s men are going to be the focus of the story. Now with that, what the heck is Kalugal up to?! I can’t wait for the next couple books to see where this goes!!
I was lucky to read an advanced copy of this book, but my thoughts are freely given.

We seem to alternate... we'll get something really good and exciting, then we'll get something... not so exciting. IMO, this one was not very exciting. I think these (the unexciting ones) are the books that build backstory, and I guess they're necessary... just not my favorite.
This one had a lot of military strategy what-ifs and that wasn't very interesting to me. There were some odd one-off chapters that just didn't seem to fit...like one from Eric, one from Darlene, and one from Turner's colleague who is supposed to help escort the cruise ship. Uh...why? Is he gonna play a role in future books?
I think this book was too long for the little we got out of it. There should be more excitement in the next book... Here's hoping!
Wonderful series. Love the characters, the adventures, the love of family & friends. I picked up Book 1 because it sounded interesting. I did not know at the time it was only the first in a series of many. I was only going to read a few, & take a break to read something else. It did not turn out that way. I kept saying just 1 more book...until I finished book #73, (talk about a binge), & had to wait for her to write more. I'm now through book #82. Story lines are usually in a trilogy, so I wait on the completion of a trilogy, before binging again. That said, each character that enters a story line, does not disappear. They continue through out the books, contributing their talents when they're needed.
She's done it again! Mixed fierce, independent and loyalty with strength, love and hot men and women. Introducing new characters and ideologies with the well known and loved characters we have grown with. Its amazing how great these stories are and how many books are in this series. We are at 68 books in the series and I can not see an end in sight. I actually pray for no end in sight. I am totally invested in the life and love of every single character in this series and wait constantly for the next book to come out and the next duo to enter the life and times of 'The Children of the Gods' series.

The book count for this series may seem daunting since this is the 68th book, thankfully the way IT Lucas organizes the series is by having the books are set in 3-4 books in a mini-series that revolves around a main couple. There are often side characters & couples that you will see develop along side the main couple. The series does have an overarching storyline that continues through all the books so it is best to read them in order. These books are also told from the POV of multiple individuals, even many of the side characters or members of previous highlighted coupled. Each chapter clearly identifies who is telling their story so it is easy to follow.
This is the first book for Phinas & Jade, we finally get some real good insight to the Kra-ell society. I still have so many questions, but we are getting some answers. I can’t wait to see where it will go next.
Phinas jumped 50metres and saved Ka'grals life. Jade being prime made a bow to Phinas and kra-ell sure do take their vows seriously.
But Phinas would never use that bow to get Jade to sleep with him even though he is majorly turned on by her even before he's talked to her.
Talking to her and getting to know Jade, the purebloods, hybrids & humans makes Phinas want to stick around even more n get to know her. There is real chemistry between them wen they are close, they are both enjoying the playful banter n flirting going on its something neither have experienced and fingers x'd they get to continue in the next part
I honestly don't know how Isabell does it. Her characters are still as strong and interesting and consistent as they have been from the first book. How she ties in characters and makes the life journey of these people seem more real than just written words on paper. I've loved each and every book and look forward to every new release. I've loved getting to know Jades character and that of Phinas. Jade is not at all how I thought she'd be and I can't wait to read her story.
Two months ago I started reading this series and like a vacuum I was sucked into the lives of Gods, Immortals, Kra-ells, dormants and the rest of humanity. Isabel’s masterpiece is a must read. I guarantee that you will enjoy each, page and each character. The immortals venom is not the only addictive element so is this series! I love when I discover a new author that has it going on! If you haven’t started reading it yet you’re truly missing out. Can’t wait for #69!
This is one of the few books in this series that I've had a hard time reading nonstop. I'm glad to not have to read about Marcel anymore. He is one of my least favorite immortals. That being said, nobody transitioned, which is disappointing. There also wasn't much romance to this book. Not a whole lot happened either. I really hope things pick up in the next book.
Without a single ounce of Formula at 68 books strong I am never tired of this series. Each three book story arc is fascinating in it's own ways. The characters are realistic. The ties between each story arc remain strong, and the set up for the next arc is always tantalizing. 5 stars really is too few imo, I wish I could give an even 10 stars.
I love this series, but this book could not hold my interest.Jade can't seem to make up her mind . One minute she is a true Kra-ell female without emotions, the next she doesn't know what she is feeling. The attraction between Jade and Phinas isn't convincing. I know the author is going somewhere with this story line therefore I will continue reading the next books.
WOW! Jade and Phinas are sizzling! Jade is my new favorite female character because so many of them are helpless victims. Jade reminds me of "Wonder Woman" who is strong, but still feminine. Bravo for another great rescue operation and I can't wait to see if Jade kills Igor. BTW, what is Kalugal (still my favorite) up to? Isabelle is awesome and has a great imagination in writing this series.
I am really enjoying how Jade’s character is being developed. She’s not what I expected and it’s perfect. I’m anxious to see what happens next… will she stay in the village? Where’s Igor? Will there be bloodshed? Is Jade going to admit she’s in Love? 69 books in and I’m still so impressed!
I love this books. I have read all of them and am awaiting the next book. I love the characters and how they develop throughout each series. I have recommended to all my friends and family. I wonder it the Kraell will join the clan to fight the brotherhood. Will Annani get Kiain back. I am anxiously awaiting for the new books!!!
The genius that I.T Lucas has done it again, I am loving the new side to the infamous Jade that we are seeing whilst she is learning what a real life is like thanks to Phinas. As a story line is is mixed with the evacuation of all the members of the camp that Jade comes from filled with danager and stories that will keep you on the edge of the seat.
It’s weird because most series that go on for a while get worse. This just keeps getting better and better. The twists and turns in this story comes from so many different angles. It’s really a well written series and so well thought through. Love the world building.
Oh wow, i tried so hard not to read book 68. To try and wait for book 69 release so i wouldn't have to wait. So love reading this series praying it never ends. Always new scenerios that has me gasping in shock, or bursting out laughing. Crying or smiling at the sexiness too. Brilliant storylines yet unique.
The series appears to be going through some major changes. We meet the infamous Jade who we have heard much about. Instead we find a different person that would expect. A fierce warrior and protector yes, but also a woman who is now experiencing the new feelings of falling for someone who is not one of her people. Major changes ahead for all of them.
My goodness! As I sit here thinking about what I have read and what makes me love reading, it’s the escape from reality and finding myself picturing all the elements of the story and characters. WOW I sounded like someone educated. Ready for more Children of the Gods! If only I could get my daughters interested in these books. Bring on the next book!
More information on the histories of both races and an interesting indoctrination for Jade. Who knew sex could be more than breeding imperatives? It is so fascinating to discover more mysteries even as some storylines are finally coming together. I am so very glad this writer is able to crank these books out so quickly, so I don't have to wait too long for the next!
Every addition to this series draws you in deeper! I’ve never read a series remotely like this and I’m loving every second I spend in this storyline. I.T. Lucas is a brilliant writer and I believe you will thoroughly enjoy this series. Happy reading!!!
I love this series, I really love that some of our other characters are finding love and now who are those twins!?! So many questions and exciting things. I'm excited as always for the next one.
I absolutely enjoy reading this series. It so addictive. All the characters are memorable. There's always a cliffhanger at the last chapter of each book. If you love soap operas and you love to read, this the series for you. Isabel is awesome!!
This series is awesome. Since some of the characters show up throughout the series you get to know them deeper than the books about that particular character. Like Kian.
