She made one reckless mistake that shattered her heart… Now, the man she loves is back, but rebuilding what they lost might destroy them both.

LOGAN
I was falling for her, hard and fast—until I found out she’d been with my brother first.

Humiliated and hurt, I walked away, vowing never to look back.
Everything changed when Cassidy nearly died in my arms.

But deep down, I know one more taste won’t be enough... and she might break my heart all over again.

CASSIDY
Everyone makes mistakes. Some we forget, others haunt us forever.

My mistake? Sleeping with Theo Hayes.

It might’ve been just one reckless night... if days later I hadn’t fallen for his older brother, Logan.

When he found out, he walked away, leaving me with nothing but regret. But now, he’s back, closer than ever.

He saved my life once… maybe he can save my heart, too.

Before reading the first book, I was under the impression that Logan would be like his brother Theo-A hero who is obsessed with his girl from day one and has no eyes for anyone else-I was wrong.

While Logan was obsessed with the heroine, Cassidy, from the moment he met her and even after the fling they had burnt out because of her past with Theo, it felt like most of the book I was WAITING for some type of character development from him but never got it until the mother freaking epilogue.

Things Logan Did That Still Have Me Fuming Hours Later:

1. Had s*x with Cassidy (multiple times) and either left or kicked her out without any type of after care.

Ms. Girl was still recovering from her orgasm when Logan got up to shower and told her to leave.

2.Forcing Cassidy to swim with him while knowing her fear of water, getting seggsy in the pool w her, and then making her hide cold and naked in his cold garage (i think) for hours because his brothers unexpectedly showed up

3. More than halfway through the book Cassidy decides to go out with Kaya/Kara (can’t remember her name sry) to a club and sees Logan there with a random girl whom he is making out with AND groping not giving a f*ck that the Cassidy is standing right there (also let the OW grope his d*ck)

4. Logan being the 🚩 that he is, texts Cassidy to stop talking to OM at club (this was literally right after she saw him w OW so my girl had every right to get some new D pls) or they would be over

5. Sends an F U text to Cassidy after seeing her kiss OM, corners her and tells her to stop trying to make him jealous or they’re done, when she doesn’t comply like a little puppy Logan gets mad and tells her to go fck another one of his brothers to add to the list.

At this point I was fuming because what gives him the right to talk to her like that after literally having his tongue down OW’s throat?

And trust me, there is more I just can’t think of any at the top of my head

As for Cassidy, I really liked her background story and felt like she had a likable personality apart from letting Logan treat her like a doormat the whole book.

Examples:

Logan: kicks Cassidy out of his house right after doing the deed.
Cassidy: Cries.
Logan: Sorry.
Cassidy: I forgive you 😚

Logan: Makes her swim even though she is terrified of it then ditches her cold and naked when his brothers pay him a surprise visit
Cassidy: Leaves and cries.
Logan: Sorry.
Cassidy: Its okay, let’s take pictures.

Logan: Kisses OW
Cassidy: Kisses OM
Logan: 😡
Cassidy: 😭
Logan and Cassidy: *break up*
~ A few pages later~
Logan: You want me, we’re so good together, you can’t resist this *kisses her*
Cassidy: 😠->😍*proceeds to fck him*

It literally goes on and on the whole book that by the time I was halfway through, I was concerned because there had not been any type of character development on Logan’s part and Cassidy had yet to stand up for herself.

And when she did eventually try to let him go, she ends up FCKINF PREGNANT of all things. I am a fan of the pregnancy trope, don’t get me wrong, but I felt like this was sort of to rush their reunion and to get them back together because Logan was already talking about “letting her go” and what not, he finds out she’s pregnant and all of a sudden he wants to give her the world? Like no. Cass deserves better AND SHE SHOULDVE LET HIM GROVEL MORE bc he didn’t suffer AT ALL.

Since I was dragged through an angsty hell with this couple, I felt like Cassidy deserved for him to show his love her but she didn’t even make him work for it.

It quite literally went down like this:

Logan: I’m sorry, I’ll do better for you.

Cassidy: I love you, I’ll make you happy Logan, you won’t regret this.

LIKE GIRL STAND UP PLEASE???? IF ANYONE IS GOING TO REGRET THIS ITS YOU?

Despite all of that^ Logan did have some good parts to him, I really like that he defended Cassidy from his Mom and brothers but I felt like the protective instinct kicked in too little, too late.

If you’re thinking of reading this, GO FOR IT. This review was not to try to convince you not to read it, it was merely a space where I could lay down my thoughts and stop thinking about this book because it’s been eating at me the whole day.

I hope none of you get offended by this, these are just my opinions not statements. It’s a good book, you might read this and love the hell out of it and that’s perfectly fine.
But if you’re not a huge fan of Angst, some mild OW/OM drama AFTER h and H are together and a rude Hero for most of the book, this might not be for you.

Edit: I stopped reading I.A. Dice’s books after this one because it was just that horrific. Fool me once and never againnnnnn

4.2 stars

I have debated long on whether to give this book 4 stars or 5 stars. Based on the 14 first chapters (out of 31, and an epilogue), it would have been a 4-star rating because I absolutely hated Logan's brand of assholery and callousness. His pov chapters read as juvenile and fickle, full of hypocritical sexist thoughts and unfair allegations on poor Cassidy. I had much difficulty to believe him to be a 30-year old professional architect the way he was behaving and hurting Cass at each turn. His obnoxious personality was so overwhelming in these chapters that I thought for a moment the book was heading towards a bad chick-lit book but for dudes, and the book title should have been Inside an asshole player's mind or Journal of a 1st class callous douchebag. I almost wish that I had jumped the first chapters and started right at Chapter 15, if not for some key angsty events happening in the early chapters.

But then thankfully, the romance really soared as from Chapter 15, and Logan slowly graduated into a human being. The deliciousness of the angst in the second half is the only reason I am rating this with 5 stars. The story was in no way original or epic, and the angst was cheap thrills but the writing was in such a way that it elicited so much hurt feels and good cryfests from me. I am so easy prey, even with overused tropes, when good writing does the magic trick with my heartstrings!

This book has a great trope that I do not see often (or well-written): the dirty secret trope. What hurt the poor Cass endured at the hands of dickhead Logan! If it was me, I would never let him approach me after the crap way he acted. Cass suffered from a big case of BBS all because she has loved him for years. She even admitted to him that she is weak for him and no matter what he does, she will always let him back if he looks her way, even if her heart keeps breaking. Do I approve? Of course not. I hated the way she thought she made a mistake by sleeping with Logan's brother a week before meeting him. Logan was unjustly - and he knew it! - heaping the blame on her while she accepted it. Again I don't approve but reckon that not all hs have to be strong according to my liking. I appreciated greatly that Cass was very aware of how weak she is for Logan and accepted it as a part of who she is. She was honest to herself and realist about it. So, I am happy if she is, and just wants to hug her.

Did Logan redeem himself? Not enough for sure. But he did wake up after a fashion. I am glad that now he knows: that he was lying to himself all this time, that Cass never did anything wrong (despite all cruelties to the contrary he threw at her), that he hurt her a lot and regrets it deeply, and that she deserves better than him. He knows that she is a sweet girl who has suffered from indifference for so long and needs to be loved and worshipped, and he is ready to prove it to her because he knows she will not readily believe his words even if she can never tell him no. And I love that once she confesses her love for him, he does not abuse her BBS but instead wants to protect her and prove himself to her. And he chose her, over his brothers. While privy to his determination and his love for her, I wished he was more verbal to her, but for his defense, he tried but Cass prevented his full confession. I do believe he will protect and cherish her hard from now on, no matter the way Cass makes things easy for him.

What was missing for a full 5 stars? More introspection into their respective angst i.e. twisting the hurt knife deeper for more tears. More epic verbal grovelling from Logan, with Cass being a pinch more reluctant to forgive him. And more details on their HEA and being in love together. Nevertheless, I loved how this book made me feel, and this will be a re-read for sure!

Right um…where do I even begin🤠let’s see. From the annoying hero and heroin the only thing keeping me going was hopefully seeing Nicos future Li. I absolutely loved the first book between theo and Thalia so I was extremely disappointed with this book. There was no development, no build up and cass annoyed the ever living hell out of me. The back and forth constant arguing and then sex became very repetitive. Logan would treat her like garbage. She’d get mad. They’d argue then call it “quits”. Not even a week would go by before he’d snap his fingers asking her to fuck and she’d come willingly. They had a “mutual” agreement where they’d have no strings attached sex but it was doomed from the get go because Cassie had feelings for him but they could never be more because of Logan. After they’d do the deed Logan would always treat her like a used hooker that he’d kick out as soon as he got what he wanted. Cassie would get mad acting like she’s done but the second she’s see him again she’d fold. She had no back bone whatsoever and it was pathetic to say the least.

Spoilers ahead…

Cass ended up getting pregnant and surprise surprise as soon as Logan found out he did an immediate 180 personality switch. It was annoying because there wasn’t build up for it. Not to mention Cassie never made him grovel for the fucked up way he used to treat her and especially the things he’d say to her. All in all it was disappointing and the only good thing about this book was the smut✨

(Edit:
I’ve been seeing ppl agree with me which makes me feel better because there are soooo many good reviews which is wild because…where is the amazing book and sizzling romance yall are talking about?😭regardless of that though idk what was up with the author while writing this book because I loved Nicos book and the tropes in it. I did have certain icks about it but it was more of a personal thing and besides that it was a 10x better book than this one my biases aside💀🙏🏼)

Nah sorry I was so disappointed. I loved the first book and was exited to read the second, but he treated her like garbage. She would get mad sometimes and said she was done but he would snap his fingers and she was back. Why ? Because apparently she loved him sooo much. I get that she is really insecure and all that but she is basically a hooker for him and after everything he says he loves her and that is that? No grovel ? Nope don’t know why it has so many good reviews but I’m really disappointed.

I was going into this with low expectations because of the reviews, but thanks to Nikki who I follow on here I decided to go ahead and read this. It's been in my TBR for a while now. If you don't like assholes, and you're an extremely strong feminist look away now you won't like this book. I'll proudly give away my feminist card when reading, and there's no doubt my fav heroes are red flags and asshole supremes. Logan was ridiculous. He was an asshole to all females except his mom and SIL. 🙃 Cassidy the h slept with his younger brother before getting with him all in a weeks time, but she had no idea. Even though Logan has the feels for her he breaks it off because bros before ho's 🥴. Not to mention her bf friend Kara cheated on another one of his brothers Nico. So guilty by association. Or was it? I'll get to that. So three years later Cas and Logan meet again. He saves her life. Decides he wants a bed buddy and this is where his supreme assholery begins. Cas let's him walk all over her, but it works here. She's from the foster system and has never been anyone's first choice so she'll take anything Logan gives her. It sucks, and it's sad, but it is what it is. I was steaming with the garage incident. I mean that was cruel. What a dick. But you know what? I must be becoming desensitized because Logan didn't bother me all that much. And I didn't need his grovel because we got his POV and the sucker was falling in love with Cas from the very beginning. Which brings me to why I can't give this five stars. If only Logan had opened his mouth and trusted his brothers, him and Cas would have already been together and probably had a couple of kids. But because he put his brothers first rather than what ge felt for Cas he ended up screwing himself, and his brothers told him as much. He really was an idiot 🤷. So not guilty by association. Just Logan having miscommunication with his brothers. Definitely interested in the other brothers' books. I'm thinking Nico's is going to have some ow trouble because his cheating ex doesn't look like she's ready to give up. Overall enjoyed this. Thanks Nikki ❤️.

Chef’s kiss! I stayed up all night reading this baby. It tore out my heart and chewed it up just like my angst-loving little self needs.

He was such a turd to her for basically all of the book but he finally pulled his head out of his butt and she made it easy for him because she was desperate for love, but it was still fabulous.

I’m so glad I discovered this author. I really like her writing style. Going to download the rest of her books!

Rating ~1.5? Idk...Goodreads considers 2 as it's okay and I'm not sure this is that.

Because I’m angry 😑

The writing continues to be fine. Steamy scenes are also still good. The chemistry is there. But the relationship is toxic, and I can’t get over it. I thought I would love these two and in some instances I saw the potential.

But for the most part, we just get to see Logan mess up again and again and again. While Cass would just let him back into her bed again and again and again. Despite the fact that he called her a whore in the past then implied it again on a separate occasion. Like girl stop! You need to have more self-respect.

I know Cass struggles with self-worth, which is why my heart broke for her every time Logan hurt her. I wanted to give her a hug. But her spine was made of jello when it came to Logan and no matter how many times he cut her she pretty much took him back immediately 🙃

She reminded me of a good friend of mine, always giving love so freely to a man who didn’t deserve it.

The little surprise toward the end only made things worse. No freedom now.

Homeboy didn’t even grovel. He just expected her to yield because she admitted she loved him. Logan is an ass, and Cass deserved better.

And when he felt a glimmer of guilt/blamed because she still felt insecure on their relationship I wanted to smack him over the head and say yeah you should feel guilty 😤

I’m calling it. I think Logan is going to be my least favorite of the brothers. I can’t imagine any of them pissing me off more than him.

Oh Logan! The way he played with my emotions like a yo-yo just wasn’t healthy! That man could have me hot and bothered and melting to ready to spit fire and throw hands all in the span of a chapter. I thought for sure he was going to be a lost cause, however his saving grace was the sweet, fragile and forgiving Cassidy. If it weren’t for everything that Cassidy went through and survived I don’t think she, nor I would have been able to allow Logan the time he needed to shed his stupidity and open up his eyes.
Logan and Cassidy were definitely an ever burning ball of chemistry, face fanning was definitely a regular occurrence, but it was the slowly developed relationship that that had me finally falling for Logan and allowing him to win book boyfriend status. It was hard earned, there were many emotional moments in this book, but it was definitely worth the journey.

So… the 30 yo H Logan came across as an immature 20yo. The book starts 3 years after he had a ons with Cassidy. He dropped her like a hot potato, when he found out she had had a previous ons with his brother Theo when he was single. He’s did the mature thing— break up by nasty text. Charming… she was with the brother who was a manwhore before she even knew Logan existed and she didn’t know they were brothers when she got together with Logan. It turns out that Cassidy becomes great friends with Thalia, Theos now wife. Thalia has no problem that Cassidy slept with her now husband before she met her. Logan’s other brother Nico supposedly doesn’t like Cassidy because her bff Kaya cheated on him. What? So Logan and his brothers blame Cassidy for Kaya’s cheating ways? Wow! What a bunch of dummies. Dude how’s a bout blaming Kaya for
What Kaya does instead of using Cassidy as your whipping boy. So Thalia invites Cassidy to her birthday party where some random busboys throw her into the deep end of a pool despite the fact she says she can’t swim. Then they just stand there and watch her drown. Wow this book Is full of fine upstanding men.! NOT! So after Cassidy inhales the pool and is dead on the bottom Logan who Overheard the fiasco dives in and saves her. She has no pulse or respirations . The chick is literally dead.. but through his persistent CPR she’s resuscitated and transported via ambulance to the hospital. She texts him at 2 am that night thanking him.. and that gets him thinking… hmmm maybe they should become fck buddies. So he treats her like crap emotionally but gives her lots of orgasms. She was an unwanted foster kid so she is emotionally crippled and takes the crumbs Logan feeds her. It’s really sad because Cassidy is just wanting to be loved.. meanwhile Logan is surrounded by a large loving family and treats Cassidy Like shiz. This book is making it look like a loving family breeds narcissistic assholes. Anyways back to the story so the mcs are supposedly in an exclusive f buddy relationship but when Cassidy goes out clubbing for a girls night Lo and behold there’s Logan kissing, grinding andhumping some other chicks ass on the dance floor. This dude just looks looks more like a peach with every page I turn. So Cassidy has had enough and they both break up with each other.. or do they? So after seeing Logan humping ow Cassidy figured he’s spreading STD’s so she goes to the gynecologist. On her way to get her results she rear ends one of Logan’s brothers and makes another visit to Club hospital. Anyways after Cassidy almost dies twice he starts thinking maybe he loves her… when Cassidy gets out of the hospital after a mva where you know they do X-rays because she has multiple fractured ribs somehow they don’t do a pregnancy test… can any body say malpractice? Later when she goes back to the gyno she finds out she’s pregnant with a baby and not an std. Logan gets rid of his snake and they live hea. 🤣🤣🤣

Ummm…spoilers ahead

Ok so I just have to start this review with a WTF because when I reviewed Theo’s book I legit praised the mother saying it was like she was the mother in law we all wanted. And straight out the gate in Logan’s book like first chapter she has morphed into the MIL from hell. You know the one most of us actually do have. Ugh, I had such high hopes. It was so nice to dream about there actually being great MIL’s out there. I guess it was all a dream…a fantasy. SMH. And if there were ever 2 DIL’s that deserved and needed a great MIL it’s these 2 ladies.

Neither having relationships with their own families or mothers they would absolutely cling to her. She doesn’t appreciate or respect them or her sons at all. It really floored me that Theo allowed the disrespect to continue for years and years. Actually, I’m shocked Nico and the rest of the brothers didn’t step in and squash that mess for the way they treated Theo’s wife. I mean eventually when it affected Logan’s girl he stood up but I’m disappointed they didn’t handle that sooner. Because they all love their sister in law. It made me rethink Theo and see him in a whole new light. He is weak AF.

Anyways, onto Logan. you sorry, disrespectful, narcissistic, selfish, cruel bully of a man child. I find him beyond redemption. The way and the lengths he went to just to be cruel and destroy Cass made me sick. I hate weak h’s. And Poor Cass topped the scale of being the weakest of weak. This poor girl was just abandoned, used, disrespected and thrown away so many times and yet she just begged and craved any love and attention. And I don’t think Logan suffered nearly enough to earn any sort of redemption. All the way till like 85% of this book he was just disgusting. The way he treated her, abused her even after hearing about her life and her struggles he continued….that’s unforgivable. And don’t get me started on the side club chick he only felt guilty about after he knew Cass saw him in action with another woman. Ugh. I hate cheating tropes and I was not aware this was part of the story line cause I wouldn’t have read it. And yeah you can argue they weren’t actually together…tomato…tomatto. We as readers see them as together regardless of the technicalities. And he was only sorry when he was caught. Then had the audacity to get mad that she went and gave him a taste of his own medicine! Men never can handle when we do them like they do us.

I wish we didn’t just get a book full of angst and pain. Utter pain for over 85% of the book. We barely get a sliver of a glimpse of any real relationship or happiness. Just once scene worth then it’s over. This was such an anticlimactic and disappointing ending and epilogue. It gave us no real closure or HEA. It was just a happy for now….somewhat cause it was just a spicy scene then bye bye. It’s hard to imagine that Logan wanted and felt anything more than sex when that’s all we saw for the happy times after he finally decided he loved her before the abrupt ending. And now I have to wait how long for the next installment? I need answers NOW.

This had some great angst. H was a dick of epic proportions in the beginning. However, once h tells H she’s preggers, it becomes way too fluffy bunny for me and I’m out…

I do feel the need to point out a misrepresentation about the plot I’m seeing in other highly upvoted reviews.

H absolutely decided he was all in with the h before he discovers she’s pregnant. He shows up at her apartment to tell her this when she drops the oops baby plot line. Now, I hate the oops baby shit, but that’s not what changes the H’a mind about being with the h…you’re welcome.

Wow. First this book is hot, hot, hot!! The author did an amazing job developing the characters and bringing the plot to life. Logan is part of a large loving and rich family. He is that asshole we love to hate, that hot and sexy guy that will never settle down. He had everything Cassie did not growing up on the system. She is friends with the enemy and therefore “untouchable.” And yet the sexual chemistry between these two opposites is incredible from the first time they touch. I can not wait to read the next book about one of the other seven Hayes boys.

Even better than the first one. Logan was just so frustrating and while I do think Cassidy took him back to easily, he needed to grovel more, but he did make up for it in the end when he put his mom in her place.

I was fortunate enough to get a ARC copy of this and it was def worth the wait!if your looking for a spicy romance with a decent storyline this is the book for you! I really liked Cass and Logan’s characters and, the journey they go on. I also liked the fact that you still get glimpses into characters from the first book and, little updates on what’s happened between now and then.

Cass is a normal girl with all the normal worry’s and fears which was really refreshing to read as it helped to resonate with her. Logan seemed like your typical fboy but we got so much more than that and, he is a deeper character the more you get into the book. I also love the brothers relationships with each other, def helps set the scene.

The story flowed really nicely and even though I called the ending it was told really well that kept me up half the night wanting to finish!! Overall I really enjoyed it and I’m waiting for the next Hayes story, hopefully we will find out more about Nico?!

Similar writing style and execution to the first book where you’re just at the authors whim. She writes all Willy nilly where one second things are one way and the characters are thinking and acting one way and then the next second it’s completely different. The H for most of the book blames his lack of being with the h, who he likes, on the fact that she was also with his brother but then towards the end multiple times he says he doesn’t actually care. Ummm, excuse me sir?? There’s just a lot like that and it’s frustrating AF.

That being said. I loved the drama and the angst! I had read a string of really sugary sweet romances so I needed some toxic fuckery. This delivered big time!

A pack of grown men hating a girl for being friends with the girlfriend who cheated on their brother who didn’t even like said girlfriend. A grown man hating a girl for sleeping with his brother before they met and had no idea they were related when they got together.

A girl with no backbone who keeps going back to the dude who treats her like trash and doesn’t grovel. 😭

I could let this slide if these people were in their early twenties but THIRTY YEARS OLD???? Everyone in this book irritated me like no other. They all needed therapy lol.

I love the Hayes brothers. This book was soo good. I was very frustrated and mad for most of it but the ending definitely made up for it. I just love men that were written by women.

UPDATE: it’s been two days and I cannot stop thinking about this book nor the Hayes brother so I’m thinking this book deserves 4.5 or 5 ⭐️

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC copy. After being selected I read “Too Much” and could not put it down! I loved it so much and needed the next book immediately. Soon after, is when I received “Too Wrong” and the same thing happened. IT WAS SO GOOD! You feel all different feelings. You laugh, cry and squirm (in the best way) from the spice 🌶️😍🥵. I only wish that it never ended! The story was perfect. I loved how all the layers of Cass were pulled back slowly. I felt so proud when she started to allow herself to really get vulnerable and even more proud when Logan FINALLY grew balls and chose his own happiness. I can’t wait for the next book! Seriously obsessing over the Hayes brothers and I.A Dice.
