Natalie

When I gave my aunt a ride to the airport ten days before Christmas, I didn’t expect to bring a stray billionaire back to Charming Lake. I agreed to give him a ride in exchange for one hundred thousand dollars—needed for reasons I don’t share with him—but the weather took an icy turn and now I’m bringing him home with me.

Donovan

Thanks to losing my wallet and phone—and weather gone wrong—I’m stranded at The Charming Inn with a very distracting woman. I don’tlikedistractions. Swept up in the town’s Christmas celebrations, though, I can’t keep my hands off of her. How can I be falling so hard and fast for a woman who put a six-figure price tag on helping me?

Stranded in a Small Town Christmas is a delightful, Hallmark-esque, feel-good novella. Billionaire Donovan accidentally leaves his cellphone and wallet on the airplane and has no way of getting to Stowe, VT, where his mother is in the hospital. Natalie gives him a hard time for being rude, and the pair start talking. She agrees to drive him, for a price. Unfortunately, due to the weather, the pair end up at her small-town inn for the weekend.

The story is pretty straightforward, with Natalie showing Donovan there is more to life than work. But Natalie also has her world view shaken by Donovan’s kind spirit. She constantly makes assumptions about him because he’s rich and is surprised when he proves her assumptions wrong. They genuinely enjoy spending time together, and I liked watching them fall for each other. I loved that although they fall quickly, their story isn’t an insta-love romance. There is a satisfying epilogue set four years in the future.

If you are looking for a quick, Christmas-themed romance, I recommend picking up Stranded in a Small Town Christmas.

This was such a cute story that made me laugh out loud at work with the very first line. It was short, sweet, and to the point of a lovely Christmas story!

I’ve been a huge fan of Shannon Stacey since I read The Boys of Fall series. Those are some of my favorite books, along with the Boston Fire series.

A fun Christmas read from Shannon Stacey, who is a master of Christmas novellas. There was a little tap dancing how the hero is a *good* billionaire no really, which becomes less and less believable as a thing every day. But I just told myself it was the trope and went with it.

Stranded in a Small Town Christmas by Shannon Stacey was a delightful holiday romance between a small town girl with no desire to leave town and a stranded billionaire she offers to drive to see his injured mom. What I loved about this story is there was absolutely no drama.

Workaholic Donovan left his briefcase that contained his phone and wallet on the airplane and can’t get anyone to help him retrieve it when Natalie reminds him getting upset at the airline employees won’t help, but she does offer to help for one hundred thousand dollars to which he agrees. With weather rolling in faster than expected, Natalie has no choice but to take him to her family’s inn.

What I really loved about this story is how easily Donovan rolled with the cards he was dealt after he found out his mom was going to be okay. He didn’t demand anything, he didn’t expect to be waited on, and in fact he enjoyed pitching in and helping and being a part of the family’s preparations for the town festival and parade. Then there was the simmering attraction between Donovan and Natalie that was ever present even when they knew they lead very different lives.

Watching Donovan realize that he hasn’t missed the constant attachment to his phone and while he’s mildly concerned about his businesses he finds he rather likes the slower pace and enjoyment of the Christmas holiday preparations was. When he finds out why Natalie asked for the money for her help made him realize she is even more special that he realized.

Stranded in a Small Town Christmas is the perfect book to curl up in front of a fire with your favorite hot beverage and escape into. I loved it!

Natalie finds herself helping out a rich man named Donovan who is stuck at an airport without his wallet and phone. She gives him a ride and room at her Inn but she charges him for it. The money is for a family with financial and medical issues to buy a specially adapted vehicle. Natalie shows Donovan how to really have a great time at Christmas. He falls for her hard and she falls for him. This is a great contemporary Christmas romance with a very happy ending.

Adorable Christmas story

Another winner by Shannon Stacey. A workaholic has to spend a few days in a small, charming, New England village with a sassy innkeeper. She doesn't take any of his flack and shows him another way to be happy. Short ,sweet, funny. Loved the twists and motivating reasons for the decisions that were made.

This book was amazing. I read it in less than two hours. Arrogant billionaire meets hometown girl who makes him look at his busy life and what he is missing out on by being a workaholic.

I received this book free from the author and am writing this review voluntarily.

the best story to be stranded in

One of my favorite Christmas stories. I’ve read it several times, even when it’s not Christmas time. So happy Shannon has written a second book in the series.

My only complaint is that it went so fast, started this short story this morning and finished before bed. Truly loved this Hallmark-esc love story 💕♥️ highly recommend
