Castle Fall’s sheriff, Daddy Logan - I mean Logan McCall - is here to save the freaking day, y’all. His son’s high school sweetheart, Dylan, is on the run from an abusive ex-boyfriend intent on bringing her back home for some good ol’ torment. The chemistry between Logan and Dylan is immediate. The inner war that rages within him is real. Not only is Dylan his son’s ex (and whom his son is still in love with), but she is in Castle Falls for one thing: his protection.

Dylan had a bright career ahead of her as a cellist until she met Simon. She’s been on the run for over a month, living in a motel and working as a waitress before making her way to Castle Falls. Dylan is such a strong character. She battles her trauma but isn’t afraid to go after what (or who) she wants.

When Dylan and Daddy Logan come together, they come. together. He’s possessive with those delicious “don’t touch what’s mine” vibes. The spice was fire!

I adored the side characters and how supportive they are. Hope was the perfect sounding board for Dylan. I hope we get to see more of Parker. He needs his moment!

dylan on the run from her abusive boyfriend turns to the only person who can help her... he ex boyfriends dad. now the sheriff of the town he welcomes her into his home not expecting to have trouble keeping his hands to himself. she is also having trouble keeping her hands off of him. they cross the line and once they do her ex shows up and complicates things not to mention the crazy abusive boyfriend found her. now she has people to protect at all cost even if that means returning to the monster.

I loved the thriller on the edge of your seat aspect the storyline of Simon and Dylan brought to the story. It was fantastic to see justice for so many women that Simon had wronged. It felt like a true crime case. Unfortunately that’s about all I liked about the book

I rarely feel this way but I didn’t feel the love and connection between Dylan and Logan. And that’s coming from someone who doesn’t stray from insta love. Sure there was lust but that’s all I felt

And I just found all other aspects besides Dylan & Simon drama as boring

I’m not sure why I liked this series as much as I did

The main characters fall into insta-lüst with each other and much drama ensues. The “we can’t be together, it’s just too hard” of it all is too much at time, yet I ate it up with a spoon. It’s a hot little read and I will probably read the next one because I have no self control.

A good read

I love my ex's dad books. I really enjoyed this one it had just the right amount of push and pull to it. The action suspense and a good bad guy. And ofc we can't forget those love. I really enjoyed it ty for writing it <3
