There must be more!
This series was wonderful. I lived every moment with the characters. I became a part of each and every book. I felt their joy, pain, love, fear, frustrations and ran the gamut of emotions with them. I am 84 years old and an avid reader, pianist and artist. I have been working on my memoirs and need to get it all together before my days are over. Wouldn't it be wonderful if I could create a story others would want to read and feel. I want to be just like you when I grow up!!!!!! Thank you for your inspiration and wonderful books. Cannot wait for book 5. God bless your talent.

I don't think I liked this one as much as the other 3 books in this series . In the first 3 it seemed like things were happening nonstop , this one was not like that at all. That being said I will definitely read the next book when it's available.

A Reflection of the Sky on the Sea is just another example of why Trinity is a master storyteller! She paints an amazing world, in great detail, to the point you truly feel apart of it. Her characters are so relatable and raw with their emotions! Another great continuation in The Adrift Series. Ready for the last book and to see how she completes these characters story.

I’m giving this a three because I feel like it was a filler book until the author decided which direction to take the story. Too much inner dialogue and not enough action like in the first books which I loved. I had to skim through a lot. I still do not like Maria at all. At this point I probably never will. The story sill draws me in though and I liked it from the start.

As with all the books in this series, A Reflection of the Sky on the Sea was WAY too long. Trimming this down and cutting out some of the excess would have created a tighter and more epic saga. Despite all the extra pages, there were so many of the characters who were central to the plot of the first three books of the series who just disappeared for this story. There needed to be a lot more Jack. There needed to be a lot more Chris. There needed to be more of the secondary characters who created depth in the first books. Cecelia becomes a central player in this book, and although I didn't mind her story so much, I felt like she didn't have enough character to carry the whole story. With all the additional characters being introduced, the story gets pretty messy. Like I say, a good editor could have helped to tighten things up and give all the characters the attention they needed. On top of all of this, I have to say that the time travel theory of this story is getting a little wacky. The plans that everyone is making to "make things right" in the future seem like they would eventually mess everything up, no matter what. And maybe I completely misunderstood one of their plans, but it seems like they actually DUG UP dead Anna in order to prepare her for the eventuality that her death would be reversed? Really?? Did I misread that? First of all ..... EWWWWWWW. Second of all ... how exactly does that work? Wouldn't there be a significant amount of decomposition taking place? I guess we are meant to suspend belief for stories like this, but it should make a bit of sense, in my opinion. Things are getting so convoluted in their plans now that I don't know exactly who to root for.
There is one story line involving Maria that REALLY irritated me. I can't say what it is because I don't want to spoil things, but her logic TICKED ME OFF in this difficult situation. It really ticked me off. I have hope that she and Chris will be able to work through this in a way that won't tick me off, but, for now, Maria's logic SUCKS.
Unlike the other books in this story, there wasn't a big reveal at the end that drove me to grab the next book. I'll read it (775 PAGES!!!!!) because I want to see this story round out its conclusion, but I do think this book was weaker overall than the first three. So much potential here. I did enjoy it well enough, but I feel like I could have loved it with some tweaking and strong editing. As it is ... three stars. It was nice enough.

Book 4 of the Adrift Series, EBK-M, Kindle, @ 2022, Read 9/9/24. Fiction, Historical, Romance, Time Travel.
The Time-travelers are in the 1700's looking for a way to travel back home, but finding ways to change the world and their place in it. A really different time-travel series where a large group of people have accidentally stumbled upon this new life. 4☆'s = Very Good. I really do like this series, but I have to say I think it's better to read this series closer together. I read the 1st 3 books within a month of each other, and I had no trouble. This 4th book was 2 years after the 1st 3, and I had more trouble keeping the characters straight and following the story line. I plan to read the 5th book, the final one of the series ver soon!

This author truly has a gift. Being able to write a new character in so late in a series and make her story so incredible is no easy feat. Loved it and cannot wait for the continuation.

2.5 Stars- Was I crazy about this one? No. Am I still frothing at the mouth for book 5? Yes.
This one took me two months to read because the plot is slow as pond water. Overall this felt like a filler episode where we pretty much only get Alaina's "my babies, my babies, my babies" or Chris' "I still love Alaina but I'll have to settle for Maria" monologue. Alaina's solipsism is still as exhausting as ever. The author has me gagged with the way Alaina is so unlikable to me and yet I'm still obsessed over the rest of the cast. Cece's POV was a breath of fresh air. It was a little disappointing that we only seem to hear about the other characters as they relate to whatever Alaina needs at the time.
Also, can someone please break down their time travel conspiracy to me in layman's terms because after 4 books and over 2400 pages read I am more confused now than ever.

I was so excited to read this book only to be completely let down. I had thought this book would finish the series but it doesn't. This book was hard to get into where the first three were very quick reads for me. It was long and very hard to follow and I personally think it was written with too many view points. Hoping the final book fixes it for me but at this point I'm not even sure I plan to read it.

Probably my least favorite book of the series thus far. It felt very fluffed up. Not much to comment on. It took me forever to get through this book. I am, however, excited to see where the adventure goes from here.

This book got back to some of it's roots. By introducing Cece with Juan Jr. as a love match it got back to not only a bit of romance, but in moving the plot forward. Yes, there were a few spots were we got a bit too much of Alaina and ramblings - but for the most part things were moving forward in the adventure and in the dilemma. I found that some of the discussion on Juan Jr. and his time travel and the age difference to CeCe a bit confusing - the waiting part should have maybe been written like a math equation - he is x years old and is in this year and goes back at x years old and waits at half time while CeCe ages to what point in her life...etc. I thought that could have been a bit better explained - while i caught the essence of the thoughts - the details made me stop and pause and question. I am enjoying this series a lot - however, there is one or two points that I think this author could improve upon. One - No MALE arc readers? I volunteer! Two - the sex part of the romance is written in an old world style with a bit of risqueness to it.....but imo, lacks what could be epic. I usually skim some of the sex scenes in books because they are either too plentiful or unrealistic or just too much......but, when you have a book with a slow burn and then the couple finally gets together - I feel the author can step a bit deeper into the sexuality and, for lack of a better word, crassness/vulgarness of the two individuals. Just my thoughts....a man that reads romance almost exclusively (me) should be on your arc list. Overall - this book is a solid 4.2 to 4.4 and the series is a solid 4.5.

Keeps getting better
I know I said in a previous book review that I really disliked Maria, but the shift in this book was, WOW! It wasn't sudden, or anything unbelievable; it was done through enough subtle character interactions that I really started to like her, and even struggled to not dislike Chris, Alaina, and Jack, who were, if not favorites, at least highly ranked. I love the way she and Cecelia were so quickly friends, especially after the way Cecelia treated her in the last book. I think she's needed a friend all along, and none of the others tried (which is crazy to me - even if she wasn't very likeable, their reasonings seemed to stem from her relationship with Chris, and everyone was supposedly moved on, so why treat her like a homewrecker when it was Alaina who made the final choice to move on with Jack in book 2?)
Cecelia - LOVE her! She's fierce, loyal, compassionate, soft, and probably one of my favorites now. I absolutely adore the way we were able to see Juan Jr through her eyes, and the way he loves her is everything a woman could want.
I'm looking forward to the final book in the series now, and hate that I just devoured all 4 of these in the last two weeks, before realizing it wasn't complete! 😭

Loads of spoilers. I just re-read in anticipation of the final book.
So AJ’s sister Cece is in the past now, along with her best friend’s husband the detective. She meats Juan junior and immediately he feels familiar. They become infatuated with one another and ultimately fall in love. She realizes eventually that she recognized him for real… he traveled time and met her when she was like 18 to give her a message. A lot of the book centers on their romance, which is hot. Better than AJ/Jack in my opinion. She’s more like able and Jr. is more bad boy so it’s a bit tropey but still sexy.
So AJ and Jack are fairly solid. They have the babies, and they want to get the boy to the future to avoid him dying.
Chris is plagued by the old memories and really wants AJ back but she is clear that she wants Jack only. Meanwhile Chris is neglecting Maria, who has her own secret that is revealed at the end…preggers. So that makes things weird… of all the ways they discuss changing the past or future, all changes make it likely that the circumstances of conception will be altered. Does that mean the baby, once born, will vanish?

This was definitely the weakest of the series. I loved the addition of Cece joining in our main group of characters, and I adored her and Juan's love story. But there was so. much. slog.
I am disappointed in so many of these character's decisions. Makes me think that the Perez family was right a few books ago--stay too long in the wrong time and you turn into monsters.
The whole thing is getting so convoluted. It's getting a little exhausting. I'm ready for this to be over. I think having each book be a 600 page behemoth is just too much.
I'm glad I waited until the series was complete to move past book 1. Had I finished this book and 5 wasn't immediately available, I'm not sure if I would have gone back to it once it was released. There's nothing super drawing me into the last one, other than the sunk cost fallacy of having already invested 2,400 pages into these characters.
Something must be wrong with me, though, because I am lowkey interested in the future spin-off books she teased at the end of this, LOL

I’ve loved reading this series. This fourth book in the five book series might be my favorite so far because of all of the layers of plots and characters. Can’t wait for 10/30/2023 when the final book in the series, “The Stars that Call us Home (The Adrift Series Book 5)”, comes out. I hope that some producer will make the book series into a series on Starz or Prime, etc. Won’t be able to beat the books but still would be great to watch. Outstanding, I came across this series accidentally and started reading before I realised it was about time travel. I’m really not interested in novels about time travel but this series is awesome. Fantastic characters who draw you in and become your friends. Adventures galore, action, romance, fear, love, hate, so many emotions in these books. Story line is complex at times but so well written I was never lost. I started with book one and carried on until I finished book 4 and I am waiting with bated breath for the final book in the series to be released hopefully this year. Such a talented author, can’t recommend highly enough.

I almost fell out of my chair numerous times reading about Juan Jr. I love the way this author writes, I can fully get the picture she is painting and I am attached to the characters. I appreciate the time she gives each character for their story and how they fit together. I am sad for this series to be over. I hope there is more, mostly because we did not get enough about Juan Josef Jr. who feels like every girls knight in shining armor. If he fell out of this book tomorrow I would be smitten for sure. I can’t wait to read the last book but I also never want it to end!

The Adrift Series make an excellent addicting read
I think I need to start all over again! A wonderfully written series with characters you fall in love with immediately. You will laugh, cry, and anxiously read faster to see what happens in every single chapter. Trinity Dunn is the only author that captured my attention from the get go, now I will wait for book 5 and count down until it releases. I've never been so invested in characters before, the wait will be hard!

Love love this story!
More of our friends findIng love, talking about their plans for both the past and future. More romance with Juan and Cecelia, more heartache for Maria, who gets close to the women sharing her tragic childhood. I love these people and i know how I want it to go because I dont want them to lose what they have in each other when they complete their goal and sail into the storm.

I'm sorry, but this series is 3 books too long. It's almost intolerable to read. I've skimmed most of this book. The only characters that I could stomach reading are Alaina with Jack, Alaina with Chris, Jim and Lily are ok. Maria and Cece make me want to rip my eyes out. I really only want to know how it ends up but its so unbearable. Off to see if I can stomach skimming number 5. This series started off really good. It should have been a 2 or 3 book series.

Our castaways are in for another exciting voyage in this book !!! Lots going on, and lots of adventure and even some time for romance !! Some of the , " time travel " , stuff was Way over my head, and seemed to get all jumbled up , but , here's to hoping the next book will tie it all up !!

Brilliant!
I likely wouldn't have ever picked up this book as I've never been a fan of this like time travel.
I happened upon the blurb from Book 1, More of us to the west, that takes you to the life raft in the storm -and was HOOKED.
I read A LOT of books, this story will be one that stays with me forever.
I can't wait for what's next!

I think this’s my favorite book out of the Adrift series. It was such a crazy ride, with twist and turns i never saw coming. The depth of each character exceeded my expectations. I can say so many wonderful things about this book but you will have to read it to find out!

The Adrift Series Book 4
A Reflection of the Sky on the Sea (The Adrift Series Book 4) is just as great as Books 1, 2 and 3! Time travel, history, romance. While reading this series I feel like I am there and know the characters personally. Can’t wait to find out what will happen next! I highly recommend this series.

Another great book in the series! I love how none of the characters are perfect, they all make mistakes and nothing stays secret for long. I love the communication between everyone. Jim is and will remain my favorite because I just can't not laugh when he's around! I am looking forward to reading the conclusion of the series but not ready to let these characters go either.

For whatever reason, I really struggled to get through this book. I use audible for my books and this one took me 12 days to listen to. Normally it doesn’t take me two weeks to read a book lol I just felt it was really slow at points I just didn’t really grab my attention. Plus it didn’t end on a cliff hanger which I didn’t like because all of her books always do.

Oh I so wanted to continue on in this series and see what happened to them all and somewhere down the road I may finish with the last book. The story has become so convoluted on who to kill and where to go to change their futures. This book was probably unnecessary all together as it’s just more of the same and dragging out the inevitable.

When I began this series, I thought it was a trilogy and was very upset to find out there was a fourth book. Now I’m captivated and can’t wait to get the book 5 and all of the future character development the author is planning.

I just love this series so much! I've never been a fan of time travel, but Trinity Dunn made me one. This book might have been my favorite. New story lines and twists and turns... I can't wait for the fifth and final book!

Excellent series
If you've not begun it please start at book 1.
This is an excellent series. I hate that we have to wait so long between books but it's not as long as Outlander. And I'm not comparing the 2 stories. They're nothing alike except time travel.
