The Old Testament, published by Deseret Book Company in 1963. Printed by Deseret News Press. No ISBN.
The URL is the only web reference I could find with rather exhaustive searching, also where I got the cover image.
This edition is hard to find.
Contains the King James Version of the Old Testament in larger-than-usual print, prints of paintings, photos of landscapes and buildings dating from Old Testament times, maps, and commentary essays.
Books can be attributed to "Anonymous" for several reasons:
* They are officially published under that name * They are traditional stories not attributed to a specific author * They are religious texts not generally attributed to a specific author
Books whose authorship is merely uncertain should be attributed to Unknown.
So, I feel like I have to rate this five stars because it's..... well.... it's the BIBLE. That being said, I didn't particularly care for the stories. They were kind of repetitive and not that interesting.
This edition was among the personal effects of my brother, Robert Bradford Huntington, sent home from Thailand after his death in 1971. My copy is inscribed at top left in the front cover with his handwritten name.
I am surprised that the Deseret Book Company published an edition that includes some mildly non-apologetic, critical material by gentile, although still Christian, scholars.
