controversial opinion:
i’d rather read about an unapologetic rapist as a hero who knows he is a monster and straight out unhinged than the pussy loser named Greyson we got in this book. a “man” who was driving too fast and hit another car (the heroine is the girl who got hit), thenlets forces his date to take the fall while he calls daddy dearest and flees the scene. not only is this the most coward move of all moves, but then he gets pissy when the consequences of his OWN actions get to him lol.
i just know his dick is small and that this princess gets home and lets his Senator daddy rail him with a 10 inch dildo. 🥰

OH HELL NO. THE HERO LET THE HEROINE SUCKED HIS BEST FRIEND OFF IN FRONT OF HIM TO “TEST HER” LIKE CRAZY BOY SAY WHAT???!! AND THIS IS BEFORE THEY WERE DATING… THEY WERE JUST IN THE BEGINNING OF GETTING TO KNOW EACH OTHER AND THE HERO ONLY ONCE TOUCHED AND MADE THE HEROINE COME ONE TIME WITH HIS FINGERS. AFTER HE MADE HER COME AND MEET UP WITH HER AGAIN, HE TOLD HER TO GO THE GAME AND MEET UP WITH HER AFTER. THE HERO EVEN TEXTED HER WHY SHE WAS LOOKING AT ONE OF HIS FRIEND AT THE GAME BECAUSE HE SO WAS SO JEALOUS😂 AND AFTER THE GAME, SHE MEET UP WITH THE HERO AND SUDDENLY HE WAS WITH HIS BEST FRIEND. THE HERO THREATENED HER WITH SOMETHING AND TOLD HER TO SUCK HIS BEST FRIEND. SHE DID. AND WHEN IT WAS ABOUT TO BE FINISHED, THE HERO CAN’T STAND IT ANYMORE AND GO TO THEM TO DRAG OUT THE HEROINE. BEFORE HE DID, THE BEST FRIEND COMES TO HER MOUTH. THE HERO WAS FURIOUS AND SO MAD AND THE BEST FRIEND EVEN COME IN HER MOUTH. THE HERO DRAG THE HEROINE OFF THE BEST FRIEND AND TOLD HIM TO STOP IT AND GO AWAY. THE BEST FRIEND GOES AWAY IMMEDIATELY….

I give this book two stars because of the hero is so super over the top possessive and alpha male. And also because the heroine is sweet too. But beside that, the hero is childish and stupid. Not classy and not even a gentleman. Shame 🙄
Even the hero’s pov is too confusing and too childish for me to even understand what he is saying or what he thinks. The hero doesn’t even know how to be a decent human being. Too toxic like in real life human being these days😂😂😂 It give me a headache 🙄

Wow, this was actually torture.
My skin is still crawling with disgust.
I think the final straw was when the hero forced the heroine to suck his friend off, and guess what the author decided to write the heroine do...
If you thought it was walk away...
Nope. You are wrong.
Did she tell him no and tell him to go to Hell? Tell him to go fck himself and get herself the fck out of that toxic environment?
Nope. Wrong again...
She did it, yall.
Yep.
The heroine just... did it.
She just sucked him off because the hero said to...
I was sitting there like... um, what.
Sitting there imagining some asshole who crashed into me with his car and ruined my dancing career as well as my leg, who continually tortures me, and now was telling me to give his friend a BJ, and i just laughed so hard. Because I just know that anyone in their right mind would make sure someone lost a dick in that situation. If not the hero, then the other guy. If I was put in that situation, male appendages would be IN DANGER.
Common sense...
I am sitting there imagining what I would do, what anyone would do, and all of the scenarios I imagined included violence and me going off, but NONE of them included me actually going down on my knees to just... do it.
That was preposterous!
So, yeah, this is the kind of book this is.
Look, I ain't gonna judge you for the type of heroine you like to read, if you enjoyed this book...
But as for me, babes, I would rather rub my face onto concrete than read about a pathetic heroine who doesn't stand up for herself...
And this was the most critical case of No Backbone I have ever read!
Like really critical. As in, this heroine just acted like a robot. Every time the hero humiliates her, she just muses in her monologue about something or other, never even asks her "best friend" for help or anyone else. She just... takes it.
I found that to be such perplexing behavior...
Look, I will be honest... and say that as I am writing this review, I have only gotten about 30% through the audiobook.
But I have questions...
Was this specifically for readers with a humiliation kink or...?
Because I seriously wanted to vomit throughout...
Is that what all "bully" romances are like?
Cause I started reading another one in the middle of this one, and that also made me want to peel my skin off from disgust.
And the thing is, I'm not even mad at the bullying part. Bullies will bully.
The hero is meant to be an asshole and get redeemed, I guess.
But it's the way this author chooses to write how the heroine reacts to this treatment... that bafles me.
Like... what?
I hated her more than the hero because of how pathetic she was.
Who acts like this...? So nonsensical. Even someone who had the self-esteem of an abandoned dog would have reacted better than this trash heroine.
She was literally so awful.
Her leg was fked in the accident and she had to get physical therapy, but in my opinion, the only type of therapy that she desperately needed to take priority of, was the mental health kind.
Has this heroine ever heard of self-respect? Loving oneself, and I don't know, acting like a real human being, and not a plank of wood, or piece of gum at the bottom of one's shoe.
This was painfully embarrassing... and pathetic.
I did not enjoy this experience, and I don't believe I will finish this piece of trash.
And i don't think this author is for me, as I have seen some other reviewer say heroines like this is a trend in her work. So i will probably avoid her work from now on.

If I was put in that situation, male appendages would be IN DANGER.

I am sitting there imagining what I would do, what anyone would do, and all of the scenarios I imagined included violence and me going off, but NONE of them included me actually going down on my knees to just... do it.
That was preposterous!
So, yeah, this is the kind of book this is.
Look, I ain't gonna judge you for the type of heroine you like to read, if you enjoyed this book...
But as for me, babes, I would rather rub my face onto concrete than read about a pathetic heroine who doesn't stand up for herself...
And this was the most critical case of No Backbone I have ever read!
Like really critical. As in, this heroine just acted like a robot. Every time the hero humiliates her, she just muses in her monologue about something or other, never even asks her "best friend" for help or anyone else. She just... takes it.
I found that to be such perplexing behavior...
Look, I will be honest... and say that as I am writing this review, I have only gotten about 30% through the audiobook.
But I have questions...
Was this specifically for readers with a humiliation kink or...?
Because I seriously wanted to vomit throughout...
Is that what all "bully" romances are like?
Cause I started reading another one in the middle of this one, and that also made me want to peel my skin off from disgust.
And the thing is, I'm not even mad at the bullying part. Bullies will bully.
The hero is meant to be an asshole and get redeemed, I guess.
But it's the way this author chooses to write how the heroine reacts to this treatment... that bafles me.
Like... what?
I hated her more than the hero because of how pathetic she was.
Who acts like this...? So nonsensical. Even someone who had the self-esteem of an abandoned dog would have reacted better than this trash heroine.
She was literally so awful.
Her leg was fked in the accident and she had to get physical therapy, but in my opinion, the only type of therapy that she desperately needed to take priority of, was the mental health kind.
Has this heroine ever heard of self-respect? Loving oneself, and I don't know, acting like a real human being, and not a plank of wood, or piece of gum at the bottom of one's shoe.
This was painfully embarrassing... and pathetic.
I did not enjoy this experience, and I don't believe I will finish this piece of trash.
And i don't think this author is for me, as I have seen some other reviewer say heroines like this is a trend in her work. So i will probably avoid her work from now on.

What in the literary garbage?! Calling this a book is an insult to trees that died for its paper. I love happily ever afters, always. But i would've loved it if this ended with Violet dumping that daddy's fucking princess 'Greyson' because THAT BITCH IS SO DELUSIONAL & UGLY!
I never had expectations for this book, i knew it would be bad, but it turned out worse. I just wanted to read book three, and damn if I didn't suffer from this.
• Whiny daddy's little princess Greyson is the dumbest, ickiest, and ugliest motherfucker ever alive. My anger issues are not in check because this guy? He's a piece of shit. I can't believe he tried to bring daddy issues into his personality because dude, fuck off, no one gives a shit. he had the audacity to be angry at her for FORRRRR FILING A LAWSUIT BECAUSE HE ENDED HER CAREER??!!
• Violet is just horny. tbh I don't even want to blame her because she got blackmailed a lot by Greyson, BUT she could've been stronger (my previous read's FMC would've killed Greyson if he so much as said a word to her). But here she was literally defenseless. I mean, make him obsessed and dump his ass gurl!
It copied the cutest MF scene from my favorite book, The Deal, in the worst way possible, and the mystery here sucked. It was boring and made this book even more unbearable.

I got a bunch of spoilers that seemed like red flags, but I always try these books because I know that some of my all time favorite books I would never have touched if I’d had spoilers first

HOWEVER, I just can’t get on board with this hero. He drives drunk. Crashes into the h’s car. Flees the scene and tries to pin it on the random girl he picked up from the bar. And hides. Like a baby-man pansy COWARD. AND THEN he bullies the h because she pressed charges. 👀🤔😒 As if the h was supposed to cover for a stranger who all but crippled her. She was a dancer and he completely wrecked her future with his selfish actions. Yes. HE bullies HER. The victim. He never takes responsibility for it. He runs and hides. Yuck. There’s no way I’ll ever like him. And knowing that he publicly humiliates the h and calls her “gimp” and makes her blow his friend… and allows all his teammates watch him have sex with her. Nope.
I saw people try to say he’s like Sam Mariano’s Carter, but I couldn’t disagree more. Carter might not be a groveler, but he’s not someone who would run from his responsibility. He’d be aware of his privilege and probably not much would happen to him for his crimes, but he would not run and hide and blame some random girl. That’s not the style of a Mariano hero at all. 🤷🏼♀️

Violet our fmc where to start… She annoyed me so much. If you thought you were supposed to feel bad for her… then no you won’t. She is the biggest doormat I have ever met. She let Greyson do whatever he wanted with her. I was like a girl… kick him in his nuts or something… fight back? Okay what really drew the line was when Greyson blackmailed her with violating NDA. It’s a type of agreement where she’s not allowed to disclose any information on the accident or claim any statements without evidence or something regarding him hitting her. So in the locker room he tricked her by asking her about the accident and she replied “you hit me”, which violated NDA and he even recorded it. SO THIS DUMBASS blackmailed her with the video where if she doesn’t want the video out SHE HAS TO GIVE HIS FRIEND STEELE A BLOWJOB. HUH??? It was to “test” her to see how far she would go. This is very dark so you were warned but OMFG it is so worth it.
Somehow (I didn't know it was possible) I loved it more now in the reread. Greyson and Violet will forever be cemented in my mind and this whole dark twisted book will forever live in my heart. Loved it from the first chapter and this reread will be EVERYTHING 💓💓

YES I AM. And I am going to recommend it. Now this is hardcore bully romance as you can tell by the last sentence but I promise if you take a chance on this series you will not regret it!! Violet and Greyson have a special place in my heart and my head and I pray they will never go away. Greyson being the toxic morally grey man that he is and Violet being the girl with the dark side - LOVE IT!! To the book that started it all 🩷🩷

Greyson and Violet have ZERO chemistry. Violet is a push over which would be fine if the smut was good. But the smut is bad, the story is bad, and the characters are unlikeable.
Greyson is the definition of a rich entitled prick. Fine. He gets drunk, hits Violet’s car, ruins her dance career. Also fine. Time jump 6 mo. They are at the same university, run into eachother and Greyson decides to ruin her life some more because he got in a tiny bit of trouble for nearly killing her. That was unsavory becuase I was expecting some sort of obsession to start when they first meet again… but it doesn’t. Whatever’s fine. From here they go from 0 to 60. One minute he’s embarrassing her in a bar and pouring a drink over her head…. After he released a sex tape of her, and the next minute he’s finger f*cling her in an alley. We’re told she orgasms but that’s the extent of t he description of her enjoyment or lack there of the encounter. There were no angsty moments leading up to this. Then they go abt their lives. They eventually have sex….again the same day that he blackmails her into blowing his teammate. She doesn’t seem to care much in the moment but throws up later. No internal dialogue abt why she gave in with zero hesitation, or if she was secretly into it, no major thoughts about it being disgusting or horrifying. Nope. She devotes like maybe 2 sentences to noting that I was wierd she just gave in and maybe she should feel ashamed and the pukes. Which would be fine if she didn’t screw him later.
I think the smut scenes keep happening from his point of view maybe. I dont remember. But there was a level of apathy from both characters. That just made the already nonsensical plot more ridiculous.
There are much better bully romances out there. Also I picked up this book because it was recommended for the girlies that love and OTT possessive H that doesn’t take no for an answer….. but he literally shares her and then tells her that if she wants him to stop just say “stop” and he will…… sooo yea I was lied to.

If you know me even a little then you already know that I love my fictional men mean. Like MEAN. Ya know? I want to hate them for the majority of the book and then I need them to change my mind irrevocably at the end. And Greyson Devereux is a menace to my ovaries if I ever found one. I am OBSESSED. Completely obsessed. And if you're a fan of the bully romance trope, this book is not to be missed.
So let's see. Greyson is a cocky, rich and privileged with some extreme daddy issues. Coming home one night he gets into an accident that causes a severe injury to the other car's occupant. So what's a guy to do? Put his date in the driver's seat, check to make sure the other occupant is alive, call his dad, and then escape the scene of the crime. Suffice it to say he's not a good guy.
Now look, if this already sounds like it isn't your cup of tea, then I suggest skipping this one. This girl? Needed a good redemption arc and happy to report I got one.
Violet Reece is back at school following an accident that took the dream of dancing from her. So imagine her surprise when the guy behind the wheel of the other car that night of the accident is at her school, and looking at her like she did something wrong.
Thu begins their back and forth dance of hate lust, pure hate, blackmail, bullying, and unwanted attraction. I saw the author mention that this is the darkest book she's ever written, and while I didn't find it to be particularly dark, I can see it won't be for everyone. There's dubcon, blackmail, and bullying. And while I love my MFC with a backbone and thought Violet gave in too easily in some parts, I did love the way she fought back in others. One scene of blackmail in a locker room particularly comes to mind. But I digress.
Was this book a sweet romance? Not even a little. Did I find it dark? No, but it certainly had dark undercurrents. Was it addictive? Very much so. Do I need to read everything else by this author immediately? Absolutely.

I saw the author mention that this is the darkest book she's ever written, and while I didn't find it to be particularly dark, I can see it won't be for everyone. There's dubcon, blackmail, and bullying. And while I love my MFC with a backbone and thought Violet gave in too easily in some parts, I did love the way she fought back in others. One scene of blackmail in a locker room particularly comes to mind. But I digress.
Was this book a sweet romance? Not even a little. Did I find it dark? No, but it certainly had dark undercurrents. Was it addictive? Very much so. Do I need to read everything else by this author immediately? Absolutely.

this? THIS? this is what booktok is going feral over? what the fuck was this? i love dark romance, that is no surprise if you know me and i didn't even mind that part of the book. it was the fact there was absolutely no chemistry between the main characters. there was only sex here. did they even have one actual serious conversation? every encounter between them was either violet putting up a "fight" which led to greyson forcing himself on her, and it being okay because she was "liking it" or....🤔....literally nothing else because that's all they did.
the first 60% of this book bored me so much. i was 🤏 close to dnfing 10 times but i didn't because i want to read the other books in the series. although i did heavily skim for the last 30% because i needed to get this book over with. how is that even possible with a plot like this book? idk but somehow this author managed it.
the part that made this book one of the shittest things i've ever read is where was the romance? obviously it's not going to be romantic or sweet, considering the TWs but where was the connection between the mcs? where was the substance? where was what makes me want to root for this couple? i hated them together. and i hated them as individual characters as well. i genuinely can’t tell you anything about them besides that they like to fuck each other. they both had half a brain cell. they were flat, no depth, violet was a complete doormat, greyson was entertaining as hell with his thoughts but i couldn't help but think of how much of a fucking idiot he was. bro forces violet to give his bestfriend a blow job and then he gets insanely jealous over it afterwards. another, since violet is not cooperating with him, greyson kisses one of his previous hookups, sits her on his lap, all in front of violet, but has the audacity to be mad because violet showed no reaction AHAHAHAHAHAHAH. this had me absolutely rolling 🤣 how stupid can one character be? he needs help.
the plot of this book is greyson ruining violet's life. he’s drunk driving and crashes into her car, it breaks her leg which ruins her career, he blames it on the girl who was in his passenger seat, and then leaves the scene. and when his reputation gets hurt, he then proceeds his plan to ruin her life like it wasn’t his fault in the first place? i want to know how the author came up with this plot. this man actually deserves jail for the rest of his life. i can't even understand how his brain works like that. his ego was the size of the LARGEST planet in our solar system. wtf did violet see in him? he fucks her good? okay and? like???? that's it.
there was a sweet moment in this book. when they were all on the bus and greyson couldn't get in the zone. so he got violet, put her in his lap and put his headphones in. violet got comfortable on him and laid her head on his shoulder, and she even took one of his headphones to put in her own ear and they just laid there. it was cute. but then greyson ruins it by shoving his hands down her pants. like can we have one moment where there is no sex involved????????

I’m still in confusion but it’s safe to say that the last 30% was the saving grace and the reason this was 3 stars to me. If not, i’d have thrown it out across the room. I don’t really care about both of the MCs. Greyson was a psychopath and a big bully, that’s very obvious. I expected that of him. His reason to bully Violet isn’t justified enough so he’s basically acted like a toddler throwing tantrums most of the time. I still think he did not redeemed himself enough for whatever fucked up, brutal things he did to Violet. Violet, OMG, Violet Reece just got on my nerves with everything she did. I know this is a bully romance but i expected her to atleast have some fire in her to fight Greyson but she was a straight up doormat. And the fact that both of them were only in their junior year like freaking 20 years old but Greyson be acting like he’s mightier than god? Be serious now. Make them atleast in their senior year and i might take them seriously

He stares at me. He’s a starer. I don’t know if he realizes it, because he doesn’t stare at anyone else. Just me. And it’s kind of creepy, sometimes. But other times, it feels like he’s trying to carve out a spot in my soul for him, and that does seem nice. Like he wants room inside me for him.

I’m stunned ! After 600 pages, a sh*tone of highlights, and an unhealthy addiction to Greyson, I declare it a hit! This book goes straight to my top reads of the year. It climbed up that shelve and it ain’t going down. This delivered a very dark, bully romance to p·e·r·f·e·c·t·i·o·n. The most captivating part of the book was the mcs. Greyson and Violet were gorgeous. I love them to the moon and back! But I also have to applaud the writing. It flowed and adapted amazingly to the mcs.
The plot was so good. It kept me on my toes till the very end. It was a fun time. Maybe not the ordinary type of fun. More like twists and turns, and jaw-dropping moments between the mcs. Oh and of course, so much drama! It kept feeding my hungry soul.
Now I usually start with the mmc. And Greyson is THE MMC. I don’t think I will ever forget him and if I ever feel like he is getting blurred in my mind, I will just reread the book - asap-. But Violet deserves some spotlight too because that beautiful, heartwrenching, angry soul was everything. I adore her! She had depth, jagged sides, and some soft ones too. She had those whiplashes that I loved, going from vulnerable to a terror and then back again. I can’t resist an fmc with a dark, twisted side! I just can’t, especially Vi!
In the tws, there was a note that Greyson doesn’t grovel, which obviously intrigued me. He is a certified a*hole from page one and remains so. He is an incredibly good and egoistical college hockey player, turned part-time stalker, and full-time obsessed bully of Violet. Especially the obsession and possessiveness with Vi, it’s just scaling up. He does some very questionable things and stays unapologetic. 20% in the book I was already in love with him, while he was in his prime as*hole era. His povs were magnificent. Grey in love was a force to be reckoned with. Sprinkle that with hot chips of possessiveness. Yeap, I love him.
Bully romances, when done well, tend to be intense, and emotionally charged. This had every good quality of a bully romance. The chemistry between the mcs is like a dr*g. Addictive!
If you introduce an mmc like Greyson from book one, who went high in the top 5 of my dark book boyfriends list, how can you top him? He can’t be topped. He is in a league of his own.

The heroine: Violet Reese - she was on the dance team at Crown Point University and dated a guy named Jack, who was on the football team, until she was injured in a terrible car accident and spent six months in the hospital. Her leg took the brunt of the accident and she had to relearn how to walk and did a lot of therapy to build up her muscles in her leg. Now that she has returned to school, she can no longer dance, and she doesn’t want to wear clothes that will show her injured leg.
The Story: Violet thinks something broke in her after her accident. She has nightmares about the accident. She was a classically trained ballet dancer and practiced over five hours a day. Though she loved it, she also really liked the dance team which was just a way for her to make friends. She was going places in ballet; she was on track to be a principal dancer. Though that dream was crushed along with her leg in that accident.
Violet returns to school after six months in the hospital and attends a party her first night back. She hears all about the newest hockey star on the team and when she comes face to face with him, she immediately knows that he is the one that ruined her life in that terrible accident. Greyson also knows immediately after hearing her name, that she is the one he hit in the crash. He is immediately attracted to her, but he sees her as the girl that choked his future.
Greyson was kicked out of his school when the news came out that he was arrested after the accident, his name and reputation were damaged by the fact that he had tried to get his date to say she was driving, and his relationship was his father was damaged as well. He blames Violet for everything that happened to him, since she was the one to tell the police that he was driving. Greyson is too arrogant to even realize how everything was really his doing, not hers. Even though Violet signed an NDA and dropped the charges.
Of course, it was easy to like Violet at the beginning and really hate Greyson. Not only did he injure her so badly, but he bullies her for something that he was the cause of. Talk about blaming the victim. His sense of entitlement was through the roof, and it was hard to feel anything for him even though he explained from the beginning that he was raised to feel that way by his father from a very young age. Though it turns out that Violet is a bit kinky as well. She ends up liking everything Greyson does to her, and she can’t turn away from him. These two are both crazy, they need to stay out of the news, and they keep doing things in public places, I just don’t get it.
This audiobook was told in multiple points of view via dual narration and was narrated by Teddy Hamilton and Heather Firth. I really like Heather Firth’s voice; it sounds completely age appropriate for Violet and is pleasant to listen to. Teddy Hamilton is one of my favorite male narrators. I specifically pick books that are narrated by my favorite male narrators, because no matter how good the story is, a bad narrator can ruin it.

Months later, Violet has lost her future as a dancer and has permanent damage to her leg. Greyson has transferred to her college to escape the damage to his family name and plays on their hockey team. Greyson then decides he has to make Violet pay for... something?
Seriously couldn't take this book anymore. I'm so fucking pissed off. I don't understand why Greyson decided to bully Violet. She lost her entire future and didn't even try to have him prosecuted, just rolls over and accepts her fate. Why on earth did he hate her? Can't get on board with him at all. People are comparing Greyson with Sam Mariano's Carter and I want to tell these folks to shut their whore mouths. Greyson is nothing like Carter. His actions are unstable and erratic, so much so that even he doesn't know why he did the things he did. Petulant and pathetic. Sam Mariano's anti-heroes are methodical and while they do terrible things, it's always part of their diabolic plan.
Violet was such a doormat that I couldn't root for her at all. **Warning Spoiler territory** Greyson decides to humiliate her by posting online a sex video he made of her and her ex. When she confronts him at a bar, he pours a drink on her head and calls her gimp in front of everyone. Then when she slinks away to go home attacks her in an alleyway and she gets off on it. The sex scenes where so cringey and I spent the entire time being embarrassed for her. For whatever reason she agrees to meet him in a locker room after a game to show him her leg. (Why the fuck?) Of course he's not alone and forces her to give his teammate a blowjob which she does to completion. (Yuck). He gets jealous and kicks out said friend then makes her give him a blowjob. Aside from throwing up, Violet barely has any reaction to these incidents and never questions why she doesn't resist. Doesn't fight back. No self respect. Other reviews say he later has sex with her in front of the team. Let me just say that Sam Mariano's anti-heroes would never allow their women to be viewed naked by anyone. In fact, they have no issue taking murderous revenge on anyone who wronged their queens, no matter how long ago. They're far too jealous and possessive to share any part of their women with anyone. They take responsibility for the heinous shit they do and view men who don't as weak. There is no comparison to Sam Mariano's villains.

When she confronts him at a bar, he pours a drink on her head and calls her gimp in front of everyone. Then when she slinks away to go home attacks her in an alleyway and she gets off on it. The sex scenes where so cringey and I spent the entire time being embarrassed for her. For whatever reason she agrees to meet him in a locker room after a game to show him her leg. (Why the fuck?) Of course he's not alone and forces her to give his teammate a blowjob which she does to completion. (Yuck). He gets jealous and kicks out said friend then makes her give him a blowjob. Aside from throwing up, Violet barely has any reaction to these incidents and never questions why she doesn't resist. Doesn't fight back. No self respect. Other reviews say he later has sex with her in front of the team. Let me just say that Sam Mariano's anti-heroes would never allow their women to be viewed naked by anyone. In fact, they have no issue taking murderous revenge on anyone who wronged their queens, no matter how long ago. They're far too jealous and possessive to share any part of their women with anyone. They take responsibility for the heinous shit they do and view men who don't as weak. There is no comparison to Sam Mariano's villains.

4 🌟 (check trigger warnings!! i cannot stress this enough)
i loved the ballerina x hockey player trope so much, truly my favorite aspect of the book!!
while the spice was pushing past some of my limits, i liked how it was a perfect balance of “dark romance” and focusing on the separate parts of their lives as a ballerina and hockey player!! also love a good friend group-found family trope and cannot wait to read steele’s book hehe
i was hooked right from chapter one and was kept on my toes throughout a majority of the book from the suspense (exactly what i needed to get me out of my reading slump)
my rating would be higher without the spice but at the same time i don’t think it would’ve been as entertaining (this is where i’m conflicted)
