Kimberly Brenin has been plagued by nightmares. Dreams of being chased by someone or something — the petrifying face of a Werewolf. Most would chalk up the image to that of a scary story, but Kimberly knows the truth. Werewolves are real. She knows because she is one.Being orphaned at an early age has left Kimberly woefully naïve when it comes to Were rules. As Benandanti of his pack, Nico is furious that Kimberly would dare come to his land. Every Were knows it is against Lycan Law for any Werewolf to come into another's territory without first gaining permission or making an offering, and Kimberly had done neither. The feisty beauty is a handful and much to Nico's amazement completely unknowledgeable about the world they live in. Even more astonishing, Kimberly has no idea that she is coming into her heat

Updated 4/2014. Lowered rating to one star. I tried to re-read it and found it pretty awful.
Original review
One of the better books from EC I've read lately. Still, I can't say I'm particularly overwhelmed by this book. It's an ok read, but one that tells the same story you have read in other PNR. Same old, same old.
It has a interesting plot and a potential in conflict that would have been really interesting. Unfortunately, there is no conflict at all: between the hero and heroine (a "rogue" wolf entering without permission into an other pack's land) due to the mating heat (say hello to your brain and will power), between the hero and his friend (even with a traitor in the mist), among the Pack, etcetera.
There was no real feelings involved in the couple, at least nothing I could perceive. But then if a couple is having sex even before they met, do they need feelings? (Cheap sarcasm, I know). So, an ok read. But nothing I'll remember after today.
Oh wow. Most of the time I prefer vamp books over wolves. But Ms Liz and Ms Lena sucked me right into their world. I simply could not put this book down! This one had it all; love, sizzling lemons, mystery, fights for power, murder, back-stabbers, surprises, and a bloody annoying cliffhanger!! Now, I already have next book lined up on my Kindle; what I'm dreading, is waiting for book 3 which isn't even out yet...
I liked this book but I have to admit that some details and sub plots could have been left out AND I saw that twist coming a mile away so I wasn't surprised... But all in all it was a good, enjoyable read.
