This book consists of four terrific interviews with Austin Pendleton, Lois Smith, Gloria Foster and Ron Rifkin, four actors who've done terrific work, particularly on stage, but aren't extensively covered in the media. Each has their own insights on career growth, the career-life balance and what it means to devote ones life to the art of acting. Since the book was written in 1999, it misses out on their later triumphs, but that should just inspire you to dig deeper into these four remarkable lives.
