Jason Espinoza had always been a simple, and introverted individual content with his past and present life. Sure he was a published author by 18, had hit rock bottom by 19, but at 21 he was finally content and most of all…happy with his current life. Video game nerd, easy job, and about to do something, his younger teenage self could never fathom…Going Greek…I mean going to a university. With new life ahead of him, Jason transfers off to a “college town” to continue his education on the East Side of Washington. Through the help of an old friend, he is convinced to give this “pledge” thing the good old college try. In doing so Jason learns the positives and negatives of not just fraternity life, but college as a whole. Leadership opportunities, relationships, egos, philanthropy, late nights, dues, finances, projects, grade checks, there’s more to frats than “just throwing parties”…which are also really nice. With nothing to lose, Jason accepts this new lifestyle with open arms, ready for his new experience and growth along the way. College is a time for education, enjoyment, but most of all, new experiences, so raise one up and join me for those adventures taken along the road.
SPRING 18 by BRYAN ESPARZA is the first book in his new series “Archives”, the successor of his previous series: “That’s Life”. His first novel in over 5 years, it presents a fictional “slice of life” showcasing the benefits, growth, and learning one can experience as a college student. Whether you’re a high school senior, current undergrad, alumni, or just looking for a good read, SPRING 18 has something in it for everyone to enjoy and learn from.
I was born in San Jose California in 1996 to a pair of loving parents who too this day, can’t believe I made it. Born with a hole in my lung and a 20% chance of survival, I’m glad I survived and am able to write this today. I’ve been writing since the age of twelve and have had a dream of publishing ever since I started.
While I don't have the best grammar, it's been a favorite hobby of mine since I was a child. I write pieces of fiction based on my own personal experiences as it is my way to "archive" and have closure with certain life events and it's the best form of therapy I could ask for. I first published at the young age of 16 about a kid going through a typical high school experience, and went on to publish 2 more in the series before hanging it up for over 5 years.
Following my graduation from college, I got an itch to write again about some memories. I published my 4th book in the series centered around a college/Greek Life experience. I plan to continue writing about this series in hopes to educate people with an unbiased, straight forward look into the business of Fraternities and Sororities from the perspective of someone who joined one, and still keeps in touch to this day.
As I continue my rediscovery of fellow authors and books, I thank you for taking the time to check out my work. I always tell myself and others to "write as if no one else will read it" and it makes me appreciate the few readers of my work that I've come across in life.
Thank you for your time and I hope you give my work a read.
