Freedom to do what I want. Freedom to be who I want.
I’ve been controlled since the day I was born, forced to put on a smile and pretend my life was perfect. From the outside looking in, it was. Little did anyone know, I’d been living in hell.
Broken, beaten, and scared, I escaped my tormentor and ran to the one place I vowed never to return. I’ve been hiding in the city that holds all my secrets and was beginning to make a life for myself.
Until they come for me.
Eli, King, and Rowen.
They’re vicious, brutal, ruthless, and used to getting whatever they want, when they want it. Only this time, there’s something standing in their way. They want me out of their city and will stop at nothing to get what they want.
They say the ultimate cost of freedom is death... I should’ve been careful what I wished for.

This was really good. Definitely is a very dark romance where the enemy is the savior wrapped in one. The FMC ends up being kidnapped by 3 (MMCs) while working a shift in the VIP Section at a masquerade stripclub. When they kidnapped her she wasn’t scared after a couple of days. The woman eventually ends up falling for all 3 and it’s just a mess. They kidnap her for a deal so once the 3 MMCs feel like something is off with the deal they start to start a back up plan or whatever and decide not to trade the FMC off YET. The FMC has gone through SO MUCH abuse. 1 of the MMCs as well! 1 MMC was taught women are a distraction making him not fall for the FMC quickly and he witnessed his mom get beat and die from sickness. So yeah. Lots of trauma these characters have lived with making this even more dark, mentally. There ends up being 5 POVs. 4 of them were consistent through the book. 1 POV came at the end. I thought it was going to be too much to follow but it made the story even more of a rollercoaster. Heartbreaking back stories which makes the events of everything that is happening in the story even more cringey. Overall I enjoyed the story line. Even though it’s dark the drama made it have some balance keeping me engaged and gasping. There were so many twist and turns🤭 I wasn’t expecting the ending. 😮💨
I recommend you read this book.

Not a fan of this book tbh, especially the domestic abuse and child porn. I understand that the FMC suffered a lot, but it seemed unnecessary the extent? It was written ok in the beginning, in a way to intrigue the reader into realizing that Lee’s death was her “butterfly transformation” into Tate. The story was fairly basic and predictable. Other than Tate the characters were pretty bland as far as MMCs go. One reviewer already commented the RH trope, and I completely agree. There were a few steamy sex scenes, but it felt too rushed. Tate just instantly falls for these guys. Ultimately, I will not be reading the rest of this series as I have no real interest. Still not the worst dark romance I’ve read, but I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone.

Book was interesting but I felt there were a lot of plot holes and it just wasn’t for me tbh I love a good dark romance as much as the next but the narrative in this one changed a lot for me I felt so I couldn’t really get into it. It wasn’t so much typos just unfinished thoughts and you’ll sometimes get where the author is narrating the book and other times where the character is talking to the reader? Anyway some people may actually enjoy this I’m going to keep it so see what the next book has just in case I change my mind and end up loving book two
Be forewarned, this is a DARK DARK romance with redemption and salvation found in the love these characters find within each other. There are major dark themes so PLEASE read the author's trigger warnings! With all that aside, this book was a random buy on Etsy and I am so glad I did it! It was a fast read but that was because I was so taken by the story I could not put it down. I think the only reason I did not give it 5 stars is just cause of some of the content that I read, it wasn't MY cup of tea or kink so I had to skim-read it lol
what an terrible terrible book. the plot holes. The awful ending that made no damn sense at all. The writing was so juvenile it sounded like a teenager writing in their journey. I’m mad I paid money for this book.
I didn’t wanna put this down! This book is very well written. The story is captivating. Can’t wait to read the second one and find out what happens! Such a cliff hanger at the end!
