How many times have you visited the Walt Disney World Resort and asked where a certain attraction was located? Where the nearest restrooms were located? When the next parade was going to begin? One of the most popular vacation destinations in the world provides many visitors each year with memories that will last a lifetime. Many of these memories are created by CPers. To all who do not utilize Disney Speak, CPers are better known as College Program Cast Members. Each year, young students arrive with only their luggage in hand to start a thrilling adventure. They come to work for the Mouse. Filled with commentary from Disney College Program alumni and Disney cast members, this book contains the very personal stories about an internship program unlike any other. The good, the bad, the sad, the humorous and even the most disgusting adventures are all here. Welcome to Mousecatraz!

If you are looking for inside info on the inner workings of the Walt Disney World resort, this is not the book for you. It does, however, explore the college program from the perspective of a former member. The College Program is a source of cheap labor for WDW, and apparently, the "CPs" drink away most of what little money they earn. Of course, with that many college students in one place, one would expect some partying, but it seems sad to me that they drink so much that they are not able to take full advantage of this amazing opportunity.

From the title and description, I was expecting a thorough expose on the Disney College Program: how it began, who benefits from it, whether or not the student participants are used as indentured servants, etc. What I got instead was a hyperbolic look at how lazy, ignorant, and ill-mannered college students can be. The author may have used 100s of interviews, but none of them are from program administrators or managers, thereby giving a decidedly one-sided perspective. Yes, its entertaining and easy to read, but I was hoping for more from this book.

I bought this a few months after I had returned home from the Disney Careerstart Program in 2007, which is the same thing as the Disney College Program, except it takes place after high school rather then having to be in college for it.
I found most of what was in the book to be true. It was a quick and easy read, but I loved it.

I really want to do the Disney College Program after I graduate in May, so that is why I read this book. Most information revolved around DCP complaints and scandals (and was slightly outdated), but the book was extremely captivating, and I am even more inspired to apply for the program now!

Full of hyperbole and exaggerations. Wesley Jones was never a member of the CP crew, yet he takes second and third had stories and tells them as though they are true.
