The fires of vengeance burn deep in my chest. I’m ready to claim my real identity and expose Callahan’s true face to the world but my way is strewn with obstacles. Callahan managed to escape our trap but he shouldn’t mistake our momentary retreat to be our defeat.
We’re closing the net around him slowly, making sure he can never slip away again. My mates and I are ready to fight him and his shadow army that has been disrupting the peace in our society. We’ll never let the sacrifices of our ancestors and brave soldiers go in vain.
Victory looms close but can I make it out alive without losing my mates to the evil Black Widow?
The threads of fate have long bound me to my four mates and I am determined to protect them even if it costs me my life.
This is the third and final book in the Solveig Pack series and takes place in an omegaverse universe with no shifters.
Honestly, I loved the series but this book ruined it for me, and then specifically Julian. I started hating him more and more as the book went on. He is very selfish, childish and narcissistic and I only finished the book because I invested so much time in it already. I don't get how or if Clyde intended for us to still like him but I definitely didn't.
Im on page 182 and so far the books been Uneventful and underwelming. Should of known it didn't get any better but I had to push through cuz I've stopped one to many times on books this month. The plot's bland, the fmc still comes second in everything instead of being a equal in the relationship. Then the sexy scenes there's only like 2 dp scenes out of the 3 books so far and they weren't that good and the rest of the sexy scenes were just bland and usually wasnt a honest group situation. Im stopping for a break cuz the books irritated me that much. So far, Over all I wouldn't really recommend this series unless you want a time waster...
I love these book they are so good I loved that they made the main character a fighter and that they showed there love I really enjoyed reading the book it had the right amount of steamy scene and love and action I just love it so much I really do love it
SYNOPSIS (of Trilogy):This story is set in the omegaverse world. The FC (Iris) has been raised by her parents as a Beta and treated as a low second to her sister who is an Omega, rare and given everything. As a result the FC is self sufficient and trained herself to be strong and good at martial arts. Her parents borrow money from a high level military pack (the Solveig Pack) and run out on the debt. As a result they kidnap the FC and hold her as collateral for the debt. As time goes by the pack discover that the FC is an omega and they are her mates (3 Alphas and 1 male Omega). In addition, there is a powerful man trying to steal the FC for himself and who is obsessed with her as well as a running theme of a terrorist organisation that is trying to reestablish a world where alphas rule and betas and omegas are subjugated. The story arc revolves around the FC and her mates fighting against her stalker and the terrorist organisation and the FC discovering who she really is. There is a HEA
I‘m not sure whether the author is very young or not a native English speaker. Whilst I have become depressingly used to badly edited books with typos and incorrect word or grammar this trilogy takes those issues to another level. There are so many typos that they disrupt any attempt to get into a flow, there is incorrect word usage, missing words and bad grammar construction throughout. I have rarely come across such a badly written book (and I read a lot). I mean, for the love of god, if the author is going to have the MCs eating French Toast every 5minutes then get it right. It’s „French Toast“ NOT „French Toasts“ (plural). The basic storyline was decent enough but that‘s as much as I can really say about the story. The writing is juvenile, the characters are superficial and underdeveloped, almost caricatures. The villain is over the top and the MCs go from bully to mea culpa at the drop of a hat.
This story reads as if the author has taken all the trite/over used story hooks from other similar books and just tied them together: FC who finds out she is not who she thought she was and was brought up as a pseudo Cinderella; FC goes from plain to stunning Omega; MCs treat FC badly and then feel guilty and are all over her; the villain is evil in a „wah ha ha“ way and has done terrible things but having avoided detection for over 20 years thinks it‘s a good move to just walk into a restaurant where the MCs and FC are but still avoid capture. The dialogue is wooden and cringeworthy - what adult calls the evil villain a „turd head“? Is this author 12?
There are sex scenes aplenty which I found boring and just too many. For me they were not particularly hot or sexy and I was jumping over them by half way through. The terminology used was again, painful. The repetitive description of the MCs having „lumps“ in their trousers and their long, hard rods was just jarring.
This whole trilogy needs rewriting and editing. Just glad it was KU and I didn‘t waste any money on it.
An action-packed conclusion, and still drooling over all the delicious food I'll never get to enjoy.
There was a literal copy and pasted smexy scene that made me think I was going crazy, and the smut wasn't up to my usual standards, (and by that I mean it wasn't nearly as kinky as the ridiculous stuff I've been reading lately) but if you can call an RH vanilla, this was a little vanilla-y.
Iris's reconciliation with her parents was stupid, and that is only because they were so stupid in their reasoning for why they did what they did and I was so ready for Julian to tear them a new one. But maybe that's my own family drama bleeding into the book. Either way, Iris is a much bigger and better person than I am.
There were a lot of the same technical writing issues in this book that I noticed in book 2, but I kind of expected them, so I just glazed over it. Mostly. The repetition of every detail of Damians trauma, even though this is book three, was irritating. Like, this was a big part of his character history, and this is like 1000 pages in, we're fully aware what happened to him, the internal monologues do not need to reiterate everything for the readers benefit.
Anywho, Calahan is the bad guy, something something something, we WIN!! Metal 🦈
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
This was the book that wraps it all up! POSSIBLE SPOILERS!! I really enjoyed this entire series. I don’t normally read incomplete series because I can’t handle cliffhangers but this was worth it! I love the pack and how their relationships flourish over the books. This one had less Caleb than the others and I was a little sad because I love Caleb. This book was Julian/Iris/Raiden heavy but it makes sense because Caleb and Damon are obviously busy with military stuff. Still made me sad to not see them as much. Iris was softer in this book and I feel like her strength didn’t really show up until closer to the end in the diner scene. I missed our strong Iris from book 1 but I understood she was growing into her omega designation and finding herself outside of her struggles. The only scene that really got me was the club scene with the twins and Julian/Raiden. They didn’t return for dinner even though Iris made it known it was important and got wasted with Raiden dancing in a group with the twins and other girls while Julian is passed out. Iris sees this all in a video. There is no cheating or insinuation of cheating but I didn’t like how they disrespected her wishes and didn’t even apologize! She wasn’t even mad just accepted it (where was that book 1 fire!). I wanted her to get a little mad and maybe get a little groveling especially since Julian can barely handle her talking to Ethan. The insinuation near the final pages about Ethan, Delilah, and Lachlan did make me happy. I liked the resolution with her adopted family. Overall great finish. One short scene I didn’t love doesn’t ruin a whole book. Epilogue section was so satisfying.
I felt like this story focused too much on Julian. He was honestly very annoying constantly whining and making things all about him. I didn't like that everyone catered to him so much especially Iris. He was basically in all the smut scenes. He had so many one on one moments with the alphas. I really don't understand why we needed MM smut scenes especially when Iris wasn't around. The author was more focused on fixing the Julian's relationship with the men than developing Iris's relationship with the men.
Iris did spend more time with Raiden but Caleb and Damon continued to be mostly absent from the story. I'm dissapointed that she never had a one on one intimate moment with Damon. Damon always mentioned how he was concerned about being too rough with her but oddly enough it was Raiden that had "rough" s** with her. I'm dissapointed that I didn't get to see Damon and Iris's dynamic.
I'm also not sure if it was a mistake but the author had Raiden bite bond Iris twice and never had Caleb bond her, at least not on page. So that kind of bothered me.
I didn't like the way the men treated Ethan especially Julian. He was an unnecessary prick to him. Poor guy. It's a shame Iris didn't like him because he was the most deserving of her.
I'm still bothered that the men initially kidnapped Iris because they wanted a surrogate and treated her poorly at the beginning. They basically acted like that never happened. And I don't buy her parents' bs excuse that they were protecting her. I wished Iris gave them more flack for it. She was way too forgiving.
For those who love: • Multiple POV • Contemporary Omegaverse • Polyamorous Relationship • Fated Mates • MM ⚔️
I was so excited to read the final book in this series that I downloaded it as soon as I realised it had been released. And boy, oh boy! Such a satisfying conclusion! This book was much better than book 2, and it was so heart-warming to finally see Iris and her mates fully bonded. Book 3 started with Iris’, much anticipated first heat, and lord was it satisfying. There was so much more spice in this book compared to it’s predecessors and I was 100% here for it. I would have loved to have seen Caleb and Damon in a few more spicy moments with Iris, as the majority of the spice involved Iris, Julian, and Raiden. However all four of the guys had little intimate moments with Iris that made my heart ache (in the best way). I even found Julian less irritating than the previous book. I thought the reunion with Iris’ parents and sister was very well handled and I loved how well the situation was explained. All the loose ends were resolved and Nox finally got what he deserved, and at the hands of Iris no less. The final chapter/epilogue was so sweet and I loved how protective all four guys were of the baby. I only wish we would have found out the baby’s name. Overall, I genuinely enjoyed this series and will probably read it again in the future.
I loved the story line, I loved each brother and Julian and I loved that Nox got his due.
The formal, almost posh British language took some getting used to, especially when my brain kept going “New Jersey!!!!!”. I’m not sure if the author is British, but some of the word choices made me pause.
Similarly there were some continuity errors-ish in the series like SPOILER: when Julian and Raiden go clubbing with the cousins and Iris sees pictures of them dancing and drinking with other people but isn’t jealous and then in another scene when she sees someone look at her mates and is incensed with jealousy. My brain got stuck on those types of things a few times.
Overall, I enjoyed getting into the world of the Solveigs and their love story.
So this ends the Solveig Pack trilogy, it focused on Iris and her Pack of alphas, Caleb, Damon, and Raiden along with their male omega Julian. They all get their happily ever after with a stand off with the bad guy and a big battle. The writing got progressively better during the trilogy although their were some issues, especially with repetition, a d the constant serving of breakfast throughout the whole series. If I drank every time, Iris was cooking breakfast or anyone else, I would be drunk easily. There were some plotlines that I thought were original, but when it came to spicy scenes, there was a phrase that was repeated often also. It was a mixed bag, but I would read more by this author, each book got better.
I liked this, I liked how the Callahan part was dealt with. We never found out what happened to those omega and kids. And there was a continuity error about her mom leaving, and her "vitamins" that comes out here as well. And the main reason I dropped to 3 stars, the editing has steadily gotten worse since the first book. I would say I'm not sure I will read anymore by this author. Like, did they figure if you made it to book 3, you probably wouldn't stop reading if you got an unedited story? That just annoys me to think about being that shady. So, good story, some things not resolved, and this third book in particular, I would say had no editor.
So series notes. These are complaints dont read unless you want to read me whine.
There were some continuity & Grammer issues. The sex scenes were all very similar and phrases were repetitive. Definitely could use an editor..
Knots at the end of the Dick instead of the base was different not bad ❤️
I would have loved to see the alphas povs more.
Did enjoy the Callahan arc.
Still hate her adoptive parents.
Julian killed it. I grasped his abandonment issues, but they got progressively worse. He became whiny af. He reverted into this insecure, needy baby and got too much page time.
This one might just be my favorite one of the three. I like the characters. Everything that has been debated comes to light. The bad guy is found. The pack grows. But what did they name the baby?! Why not throw that in at the end?? Why mention a list and never tell us what Happened? I want more of the Solveig Pack and how they are in the good times. Also! How old are they?! They act like she’s so much younger but no one really names how old they are.
I have been waiting patiently for this book to be released so I could find out what happened, it was worth the wait! Iris is seriously a kick ass female that keeps her men in place, then she goes and saves the day, ( no spoilers ) it was a fab read, I give this story 4 awesome stars ****
This book picks up right from book 2 and dives right into a knotty heat. I love the dynamic of having two omegas in the pack. No jealousy, just love and support.
Plus we get answers from the family that fled, we see Ethan and we meet two other military packs.
High stakes, battle, dark items again with war but a happily ever after and a baby!
I waited until I finished all three books to write a review and wow. It was a great story from the beginning! Iris and Julian were especially well written. They were the sweetest. I love that iris’ personality stayed true from beginning to end while also accepting her new discovery about herself. I love a strong FMC and doting MMCs.
Loved the first book and was hooked... but by the 3rd book, I was losing interest. Really think it could have been a duet. I'm sure even some of the scenes in the 3rd book had the exact same dialogue as some in the 2nd. Great overall, but think it could do with some editing maybe.
This was the perfect conclusion to this trilogy ! I LOVED that she was so fierce! The cat fight between Julian and her sister? Priceless! That will live in omegaverse history!
This book wrapped up the series so well. I got the ending I wanted. Seeing Iris get the whole family she wanted and then seeing her take control of her demons and win against her villain.
Good ending to a good series. I’m glad it ended the way it did. Only thing I would change is the use of darling as a cutesy name. Iris and Julian didn’t seem like a darling to me when the guys used it towards them.
I read this book to finish off my series and while it was an ok book to read I found at times that it was abit cringy. Iris was raised as a beta but I found that she was really whiny and come across weak.
Love this series so much. I loved all the drama sorounding the characters and the love and support they had for each other. My favourite character would have to be iris and her pack of caring and supportive alpha's and her omega Julian.
I really enjoyed the concluding part to this book and found that the story ended with a totally satisfying conclusion which made reading the story totally worth it. I would totally recommend not just this book but the entire series.
Loved this series! Definitely worth a read if you're into omegaverses! The characters complimented each other well and the story had me hooked throughout the three books
This book was not as good as the other two. A bit boring and repetitive. Didn’t liked Julian much. They focus too much on him and we only got bits of the other alphas. The ending was okay.
