The author suggests to NOT try any of the descripted techniques if not supervised by an expert in the field. Any injury, damage or effect caused by the act of performing the techniques descripted in the book is NOT a responsibility of the author.
I can see this book being useful as a reference for someone with a foundation in shibari already to be used as inspiration but the lack of pictures or illustrations would make it impossible for a beginner to know if they are tying anything correctly. For someone with a good understanding of shibari basics already this book might have some new ideas for you, but I would not recommend this for a beginner.
