Carnival (Tin Star K9 Series), my eleventh read from author Jodi Burnett. A 34-page short read continuing the trend of well-written, enjoyable books, it caught my attention in the opening pages & I never put it down until completed. Burnett has created a complete world in which her primary characters interact with an ever expanding world of repeat characters, some very familiar from her other series. I went out & purchased a Kindle copy of this book when I heard of its release and I'm voluntarily leaving a review." I look forward to reading more in this series & from this author. When Deputy US Marshal Caitlyn Reed stops to give her dog Renegade a pit stop, she’s surprised and annoyed when he runs off and doesn’t follow her instructions. When she finally catches up with him, she discovers that they’re in an abandoned carnival and they’re not alone. Finding children needing to be rescued, Caitlyn and Renegade must take out the bad guys and get the kids to safety. Easier said than done.
This was a very quick read with danger and lots of action.
I love Jodi Burnett’s K9 series, so I was excited when the email came yesterday telling me about the book sale. I even paid Canadian prices on Amazon.ca only to be disappointed to discover that I was reading what amounted to a one chapter novella (approx 35 pages). I opened the book at 10pm and was finished well before 10:30 totally disappointed thus the 1 star rating.
Carnival Jodi Burnett 3.5 stars Caitlyn Reed is on her way home when her police dog Renegade takes off into some woods. She runs after him eventually finding him in a creepy abandoned carnival.
Great book that is a quick read. As always Renagade comes through to save the day. I half expected this story to fall forward into the next book. I kind of hope it does, giving us the back story of the Cobb trio.
Scary!! Caitlin and Ren stop along side of the road on the way home for her engagement party. She tried to call Colt but there was n phone service. This is a short story that takes place right before the Justice novel. Worth reading. Enjoy!
I loved it! Talk about getting dropped into the thick of it! Caitlyn and Renegade find an old Carnival in the middle of the woods and its all action from there on. 🙂
CAnnot wait or a new k9 nd we love that the good guys win! Lots of drama plus a happy ending! The characters are believable, intense - totally binge worthy.
A quick potty break for Renegade turns into a rescue mission. Once again Cait and Renegade get the job done, rescue the children and capture the bad guys.
As you might expect if you follow Caitlin and her K9 Partner, Renegade, this story is filled with danger, resourcefulness and a warm happy ending. It’s a great short read and I know you’ll enjoy it
