Harlequin has a bunch of different lines to have something for everyone. The Medical Romance line is in their words an escape to the world where life and love play out against a high-pressured medical backdrop. Every month they release six new books under this line, so you are always bound to want to read something. For the month of August Kristine Lynn is having her latest book, ‘Brought Together by His Baby’, being released under this line.

Now I have to say that this is my first time reading something under the Medical Romance line and I am glad this one was my first read. When I hear Medical Romance, I can’t help but think about ‘Gray’s Antimony’ and that means a lot of drama happening at a hospital. Well with ‘Brought Together by His Baby’ we don’t have that type of drama. In fact, the two people who do get in a relationship only are with each other. It’s nice and refreshing to see that and see how they could work in a high pace environment like a hospital.

Kelsey Gaines who is an OBGYN to the stars. After her friend passed away, she took care of her newborn baby girl, Emma, and she is in the process of adopting the girl. Liam Everson was a missing person of war then was declared dead when no one could find him. He was able to come back and would like to take care of his daughter.

Kelsey and Liam didn’t get off on the right foot when they first met as he wanted to take care of his baby, but Kelsey was so close to getting the adoption through and had been taking care of her since birth she had a strong bond with the child. The thing I really liked the most about Liam was that he took time when he got back from where he was and took care of himself physically and mentally. He wanted to be the best version of himself to be able to take care of his baby.

Kelsey made sure she was able to give the little girl everything she would need, including love. There was no doubt that she was taking good care of Emma, and really had that mother/daughter bond with the child. I liked the fact that when she saw Liam with Emma, she had this feeling that he would be a good father and really wanted to make sure he was in her life. She was concerned though that if she did that, he would cut her out of Emma’s life. In fact, that wasn’t the case as all as he made sure Emma knew who Kelsey was.

There were a few medical-wise emergency things that came up that really showed how well the pair was together. They were able to work well with each other and flow and think about what the other needed. To me this showed how well they worked together and how they really were meant to be in each other’s lives.

Kristine did an excellent job at telling this story, and for someone who has never read the Medical Romance line it really makes me want to come back for more. I am giving this book 4 ½ stars and I can’t believe I read it in two days. I really would love to see more of these two as they really put a smile on my face, and I enjoyed the journey that they ended up taking to be together in the end. This book is now available for everyone to get wherever they get their books. Are you going to pick up a copy? Tell us below what you thought of the book or if you are a fan of the Medical Romance line.

I also want to give a special thanks to Kristine Lynn for sending over a copy of the book. All thoughts in this article are my own.

I devoured Brought Together by His Baby by Kristine Lynn in two days, and immediately missed being “with” the characters, so don’t gobble the whole cake in two sittings. The story centers around baby Emma, whose mother, Page, died during her delivery. Emma’s father is Page’s ex-husband, deployed Army medic Dr. Liam Everson, who was declared MIA and assumed deceased before Emma was born. Page named her best friend, Dr. Kelsey Gaines, as Emma’s guardian before she passed. After six months together, Kelsey and Emma have found their rhythm with the help of Kelsey’s father Mike, a former Marine. Raising Emma, and honoring Page, has become Kelsey’s focus and her true joy. The legal adoption is days away when Liam reenters the picture. He wants to be the father that Emma needs and deserves. Kelsey’s vision of her future with Emma is threatened, but her father convinces her Emma could benefit greatly from having her dad in her life. Kelsey is determined to protect and guide Emma, but she knows her father is right. Can two adults carrying scars from their own childhoods set their apprehensions aside for Emma’s best interest? Or will the protective walls they built around themselves prevent love from providing the perfect healing medicine all three of them need? Kristine Lynn allows her readers inside the thoughts of Kelsey and Liam as they navigate the complicated situation in which they find themselves. Both points of view are nuanced and well thought out. You understand what drives the parties involved and root for them along the way. And sure, you might yell, “Just SAY that!” even though you understand why these two are more guarded than you want them to be. With just the right amount of tension, heat, and love, I found BTBHB to be an enjoyable read with a satisfying payoff.

I love discovering new authors, so I was happy to read an advanced reader copy that author Kristine Lynn shared with readers. "Brought Together by His Baby" has a most interesting dilemma - what do you do if the father of the baby you adopted wants his daughter back? That's the problem facing uber-successful OB/GYN Dr. Kelsey Gaines, who has all the money she needs but struggling with guilt over the death of her best friend and mother of her baby girl, Emma. Dr. Liam Everson has wounds of his own after his years as an Army trauma surgeon. What follows is a deeply emotional journey of shared parenthood, finding meaning in loss, and letting love work its soothing, healing magic. I thoroughly enjoyed this intimate journey of two wounded souls finding their way to peace and healing. I love discovering new med-rom authors - Kristine Lynn is one who I will continue to follow!
