Forever Begins

Rate this book
From the USA Best-Selling Author, comes a sensually soulful contemporary romance of a fated love between a bitter, reclusive rap star and the heart-of-gold single mom who inspires him to believe in forever...

EVERY LOVE STORY WANTS A FOREVER AFTER.

Alonzo “Zo” Taylor was the number one worldwide hip-hop artist when a sex scandal destroyed it all. Now five years later, he’s become an angry recluse, preferring solitude and loneliness to the full life he once enjoyed. Until he encounters a teen who reminds him of his past. And a woman that makes him believe in a future.

Sage Parker, a single mother and bartender in Las Vegas is inexplicably drawn to the handsome stranger who frequents her lounge utterly alone. Decidedly celibate and too busy keeping her wayward teenager on the right side of the law to think about love, she resists the gravitational pull of Alonzo. After an unexpected incident forces them into close quarters, Sage and Alonzo decide to take a chance on forever.

Inspired to create and perform again, Alonzo wants the fiercely independent Sage by his side as he faces the family and the world he left behind. As challenges confront them, Alonzo worries Sage may be unable to embrace all it means to be with him. Blindsided by the magnitude of his star power, Sage is thrust into a spotlight and a life she never wanted. And Sage begins to doubt their love story will end in the forever after they both so desire.

I want my readers to escape their realities and embark on a journey of self-exploration and love when they delve into my books. I have loved reading fiction, thrillers, and romance for years. Although my original (and still) writing interest was YA and self-help books, I received a surprise text one Valentine's Day, and wrote the very first chapter of a romance novel that day. And I became forever inspired to write contemporary and new adult romance - with a twist.

So I'm Minding My Business

And boom... this book drops in my lap, and I'm hard-pressed to stop reading. The synopsis let me know that Alonzo would be a brooding mess, and Sage would take her time being who he needed. Now, I was a little aggravated that Alonzo took so long to confess his sins. I wanted Sage and her son Poet to finally catch a break. Ms. LOVE kept pulling my chain when Zo and Sage acted like they wouldn't be together. I like... What are you talking about, Lady? I know, I get it that man was a super-wealthy man, and she wasn't accustomed to being treated well. But she just needed to get over that fear and accept his kindness. The fact that Zo was so broken because of past mistakes, he still opened his heart to Sage and her son. Seeing characters from previous books is always a treat. Justin and his fine self made an appearance And too-fine Jacob... The story was enjoyable, the writing was crisp, and it was delightful to see real love that feels realistic in print.

While I really did enjoy the development of Zo & Sage’s relationship….All of the couple in this series proclaimed love after a day or two of being around one another…..that part of each story made it hard to believe….I really did enjoy other aspects of the story.

A Touching Story About Love, Forgiveness and Redemption

Sage and Alonzo had chemistry from the moment they had a conversation with one another. They were both skeptical about falling in love do to past hurt. They just jelled so well together and grew to love on3 another. Once they acknowledged that they had to confront their past and insecurities, they love truly blossomed. Modus to Tiye Love for writing another amazing story that pulled at your heartstrings.

Zo

Alonzo frequented a bar in Vegas many times. He was drawn to the aurora of the bartender. Sage the bartender held a captive audience with her mixing skills, but she had eyes for the loner who wore shades. Alonzo finally gathered the courage to talk to Sage. He was later spooked by them both having infinity symbol tattoos on their wrists. Later, that night he saved Sage from an attack by another bar patron and she nursed him back to health from being stabbed trying to save her. They got to know each, but each holding a secret from the other! Zo’s secret could ruin their chances of ever being together before their “forever can begin”! A great read! I would love to read a book about of Zo, Justin and Jacob on tour together and catching us up with their ladies!

Closer to 3 stars.
Was this a instalove?
The third act break up was for what reason? She got mad he was standing in a room in the corner while other people did drugs , then he told her he’s not good enough for her. Then they got back together in the last chapter but it was told to us not shown to us. Also why did the baby daddy have to move in…he couldn’t get a short stay. There is no sex on page. This story was all over the place and not enough at the same time. Give it a try you might like it.

Loved it!

Love the characters and their background stories. There was just enough drama to keep me engaged but not too much that I was irritated. This book made instant love seem believable. Good job!

Tiye Did The Damn Thing

I enjoyed Sage and Zos story. Tiye did an excellent job intertwining the character flaws but making me love each character. Hope the fantasy series continues.

I think this was the best-written book of the series. The two main characters had lots of chemistry. I like the relationship between Alonzo and Poet, but I would’ve liked a better ending.

Sage really annoyed my soul. People really gotta heal before they jump into relationships. It was all good then she just flipped and let her insecurities consume her. She accused him of something that he wasn’t doing and she also didn’t see him partaking in anything when she popped up but moved her dead beat baby daddy in knowing he only came around cause she had a man. She sucked at communication and instead of talking to her son and explaining things, she would shut down and act like a kid. Sage please! Zo was really trying and she was going on so much she had him thinking he was the problem. This story was the most natural from the series but the turn it took made me almost DNF.

Forever Begins by Tiye Love is about retired hip-hop artist Alonzo “Zo” Taylor and bartender Sage Parker. Zo is a frequent patron at the bar Sage works at, the night they speak to each other for the first time he saves her from a dangerous situation. Sage is a single mother to her 17 year old son Poet. She’s so busy providing for her son she has no idea who Zo is when they meet. She just knows they have amazing chemistry. Zo and Sage are an example insta-love or kismet, their tattoos match. They’ve both been through a lot and have come into each others lives at the right moment. They save each other from a loveless life. However , Sage and Zo are a mess! They gave me whiplash with the constant back and forth. They had highs and lows, the growing pains of dating someone in the industry that wasn’t when you first met. Also his vices were big relationship deters which were difficult to navigate especially in the entertainment industry. I like the emphasis of being able to fight your battles/vices on your own, the person you’re in a relationship with cant do it for you. I’m glad Sage always called Zo out on his bs instead of coddling him. I love the bond Poet and Zo have, Zo is quickly invested right away. Zo understands Poet and is the male figure that Poet needs. I appreciate that even when Zo and Sage are not in the best place, he doesn’t stop being there for Poet. Zo and Sage are both flawed characters, they have rough patches however they find something special in each other. This book is apart of a series but can be read as a standalone.

CW- mentions sexual assault, mentions domestic abuse, mentions death of a loved one

Alonzo Taylor is a man running from a past scandal and has been incognito for five years, until he encounters Sage Parker and her son. Alonzo is drawn to Sage and a rescue gives him the opportunity to pursue Sage, even though he is gun shy about relationships and Sage will only entertain a relationship based on love. As these two embark on their journey, Alonzo's past as well as Sage's will intervene. What is a love story without some curves and bumps along the journey. Can these two allow their past not to interfere and create a loving environment leading to happy ever after? Pick up this read, you will not be disappointed.

Tiye Love does a good job telling Alonzo and Sage's story. There are a few secondary characters, readers will want to smack, and there are some scenes that will have you shaking your head. Overall, this was a great read.

This is book three in the FANtasy series and it a joy to read.

A real emotional jerker

Oh, my goodness!! This story gave me all of the feels, empathizing with the characters. From laughing to shedding tears, a real emotional jerker. You can feel the love and chemistry between Zo and Sage and then add Poet to the mix... a great forever family. All of them went through things and I love how they found healthy love and relationships and how Zo was still there for Poet regardless. This is a very good story of overcoming past hurt to enjoying your new destiny in a healthy and healing way. I enjoyed reading this story and couldn't put it down, so I definitely recommend it

Forever Begins is by far the best book in the series so far. The chemistry between the two main characters, along with how they interacted with their families and confronted their pasts, had me completely hooked—I couldn't wait to see what would happen next.

I really appreciated how Tyie wove in elements from the first two books, creating a strong sense of continuity. That said, I still find myself wanting more of Justin from book one—he's such a compelling character!

Just like in book one, I’m still craving more scenes with Zo and Sage. Their story feels unfinished, and I hope we get more of them in future installments.

Beautiful!

Alonzo was ostracized in the music industry because of lies and even though acquitted in the courts, he was frowned upon in the public eye! He happens into Motions Bar/lounge and lays eyes on his future Sage. It was a beautiful journey and I loved how he loved Poet, developed a real relationship with him and he literally was reborn through this woman and her son! He mended family relationships and came out on the other side healed and whole! Loved this one Tiye Love!

Truth lesson

Amazing read very emotional, frustrating, comical, but inspiring. I became angry with both Zo and Sage glad they worked things out had me very confused for a while, but realized life is not always black and white and you have to make it work, and it’s not going to be agreeable all the time but if you want it bad enough all things will turn out alright just believe. Wonderful book read recommend to everyone. Life lessons.

Kismet!

From their first encounter, Alonzo and Sage were on a path destined for an infinite love! And while the journey wasn't smooth, much like their initial encounters...they finally got on the same page when it mattered the most! This was a heartfelt read in which forgiveness, redemption and second chances were beautifully showcased. And the cameos by Justin and Jacob were a fitting surprise!

A+++ excellent story with all the feels

Forever Begins, book 3 in the FANtasy Series was an incredible read depicting the story of a tortured man unable to forgive himself hiding from the world. Alonzo was everything you would expect from a swaggerlicious, sexy rap star on a self imposed sabbatical. Not realizing he would meet a struggling single mom who would forever change his life.

Another page turner💯

I’m just at a loss for words because this was another hit. These series are honestly made for the screen. I have enjoyed them so much that I’m reading until midnight and waking up later than usual.

I get so engrossed in the characters and it’s good because I’m very familiar with NOLA. I’m also familiar with the music industry so all the books are very interesting and eye opening to read.

I loved this book. So relatable. I love how the writer brought back Justin and Jacob from the other books in this series. Sage was a Go Hard Mom for her son, I loved her character!!! She was crazy for bringing a stranger in her home but I’m glad everything worked out for the best. Not gon’ lie, I got a lil emotional during the end, in a good way. Beautiful how Alonzo and his Mom made up after many years!!! Just a beautiful story all around.

Tiye consistently gives good love stories and this was no different. Absolutely loved Zo and Sage’s roller coaster ride to love. Felt the chemistry from the beginning and Zo and Poet’s relationship was the icing on the cake. The healing, reconciliation and self discovery were all great notes in this beautiful love song of a story!

wow, what an incredible story

This book had me crying and laughing and riding the highs and lows. I felt what Sage was feeling and what Zo was feeling. Felt the anguish of loss and the anger of the lies that ruin a life. This story had it all and it was real in the content, the love, hate and family. Loved the story. Finished it in one sitting, I was hooked from the beginning.

3.5 stars ⭐⭐⭐

This book was cute. The sparks flew between Zoe and Sage. Sage is a very direct person, which makes for a good dynamic because you never have to guess what she wants. Zoe is finding his path after much trauma and pain. I enjoyed the buildup, which was quite fast since the book is a short read.
