When a veteran hockey star retires, all that remains is for him to find love. But is the curvy journalist finding a deeper story than she realizes?
Vincent Ivanavic
After fifteen years of body knocks, fist fights and broken bones, I’m hanging up the skates. I’m too old for this shit. The Vancouver Vikings hierarchy plan on giving me a sending off like no other. Parties. Celebrations. Hall of Fame inductions… My retirement is a big deal, after all. I’m a superstar. Or at least, I was. That’s why the countries biggest up and coming journalist is sent to interview me. She comes with a reputation, but I think she should wear a damn warning bell. I’m left speechless. Her curvy figure and radiant smile have me stuttering. She’s gorgeous . It’s then I realize there’s still one trophy I haven’t won.
Chloe Holmes
I take my job very, very seriously. My stories are ground-breaking, revolutionary and captivating. And the enormous ego of Vancouver’s oldest hockey star isn’t going to get in my way. At least that’s the plan. I never expected him to smile – he doesn’t do that. And now he’s demanding I go on a date with him just so I can get his story? Who is this guy? And why can’t I say no? I’m a strong, independent woman just delivering what readers want… Right? Wrong. He pulls me in. Those deep, dark smoldering eyes torment me like I’m the goal he’s craved for too long. Before I know it, he’s scored. A puck right to my heart.

This is book number 5 of The Locker Room series and focuses on Vincent and Chloe. Vincent has been a professional hockey player for years when he decides that it is time for him to hang up his skates and retire. During the week of his retirement, he is set to interview with Chloe. When he first sees her, he is immediately captivated by her and he knows there is something special about her. Chloe is a hard hitting, respected journalist that leaves no stone unturned when she is getting her story. When she meets Vincent, the attraction between the two of them is a palpable thing and leads to quite the night for them. It doesn’t take them long at all to fall head over heels for each other and go after their HEA. This was a great story and a great addition to the series.

Vincent (H36) is a professional hockey player having his send-off retirement week, part of which is an interview by acclaimed journalist Chloe (h26). They’re both instantly drawn to one another and Chloe finds herself agreeing to dinner with Vincent. A romantic dinner, a few beers, some conversation and things get hot and steamy between the two. Vincent wants more, but Chloe is holding back and somebody will have to make a move before they can reach their HEA. Lovely grumpy/sunshine OMYW curvy girl romantic hockey quickie!
Hockey, steamy, curvy girl, age gap = awesome reading
If you are a fan of hockey romance & love it like I do then one of my favourite authors C.H. James has you covered with My Grumpy Puck - Vincent & Chloe's story. Can you handle the steam coming off Vancouver's oldest hockey star & a upcoming journalist? I don't want to give away any spoilers so all I will say is that I highly recommend this book. A great addition to the series & this will be one that I read again.

This is the fifth book in this amazing series, and this is Vincent and Chloe’s journey. Vincent is a veteran professional hocky player, who know it is time to retire. Chloe is a journalist who is to interview Vincent, but he has conditions, he wants to go on a date with her first, then she will get her story. This is a well written story which has combustible and undeniable chemistry, romance, and love, which leads to a sweet, entertaining, and steamy page turner. Slightly confused. Was this a different Chloe then the one who was best friends with Madison in My Virgin Puck? Because I would think they'd be the same. Her British accent disappeared, nothing about working for the football team in England is mentioned. These books follow one another in the series so how are things not consistent? Oh, and Coach Best isn't being a raging dick in this book. What happened? He taking his meds? Why is Mason playing? Wasn't he fired at the end of his book.
Why so many inconsistencies? Is someone else writing these books?
Vincent is celebrating his farewell to his professional hockey career and that includes an interview with a respected journalist. Chloe will be interviewing Vincent but neither expected to be drawn to each other. Intense chemistry leads them to a steamy night of pleasure but can there be more? Is Chloe ready and open to what Vincent has to offer or will she let love get away?.

Vincent is a hockey superstar and now he finally retires... And he is kind of lost. No family, no partner and now no hockey. Chloe is a journalist that interviews Vincent exclusively before his retirement. These two meet and sparks fly instantly. They fall hard and fast for each other, but after a night of passion Chloe drives back home. But the heart wants the heart gets😉 Instalove, steamy, sweet, romantic, fun to read and safe with a sweet HEA 😍😍😍😍
Molto carino
The author has given us a wonderful story that pulls us into the lives of Vincent and Chloe and does not let go. The story keeps us turning the pages with instant connection, denial, regrets and steam.

This was a short, sweet and steamy read. It was Vincent and Chloe’s story. He might have been grumpy at the start but at he end he was a sweetheart. Looking forward to reading the next book
