BETWEEN THE LINES
If you love travel, weddings and burgeoning romances, this latest novel from the talented Victoria Mae will certainly appeal to you. Loving the main characters right from the start, even grumpy Dom, the author’s vivid descriptions made them come alive and feel almost like friends to me. If I were about to organise a wedding, I’d be sure to avoid many of the hilarious or cringe-worthy pitfalls witnessed by bubbly Liv and the gang during their whistle stop world tour, reporting, photographing and organising very different types ceremonies for lucky winning couples, to be published in a prestigious wedding magazine. Along for the ride came Liv and Dom’s emotional baggage - did they manage to leave it on a luggage carousel somewhere, or are they still dragging it around? Never a dull moment, I really enjoyed this novel from start to finish.

Between the lines is a wonderful second novel by Victoria Mae.
It got off to a great start, and had me giggling on the very first page!
All her characters immediately come to life and you soon become immersed in the storyline and invested in their lives as if they were your best friends.
As well as the wonderful story that unfolds, you are taken on a beautifully described whirlwind tour of the world.
As the story progressed I found myself turning the pages faster and faster as I raced through all the twists and turns to the very end desperate to find out everyone’s fate.
Although the book is not a sequel to her first novel, Behind the Clouds there is a wonderful to link to some previous characters which was a very unexpected bonus.
Another great story, that just like her previous novel, I’m sure to pick up again and again.

I thoroughly enjoyed this second novel by Victoria Mae. It’s a definite page turner, with great characters throughout and transports you around the world to different locations. Whilst there it’s interesting to learn about different traditions and customs, brought alive by the author’s knowledge and descriptive nature.
It is a fun story, with a few twists on the way that keep you engrossed to the end. Liv is an endearing character with relatable likes and life views.
I can highly recommend this book. It will cheer you up, bringing a smile to your face. You won’t be disappointed.

A romantic travelogue attending weddings all over the world. A team of 4, working for a magazine, go to weddings all over the world. Liv writes about them, Dom photographs them, Hugo and Sarah do everything else! We learn about wedding customs in each venue as well as the back story of each couple. Meanwhile the 4 protagonists bond and great friendships are forged.
If you like to learn whilst being entertained with romance, if you like a book where ( almost) all the characters are people you’d like to call friends and you like happy endings, this book is for you!

Delightful 2nd Novel by this accomplished author. Whether you are following Liv’s journey from a sun lounger or curled up in front of the fire, you won’t fail to feel invested in Liv’s hectic life. Great characters, some laugh out loud moments and a bucket list of places to see when you’ve finished the book! What’s not to love!

I loved the variety of the different locations, characters and styles of weddings throughout the book, but there was also the growing relationships between the constant main characters, that you got to know during the story. The writing style was very easy to read, and it flowed really well. If you want a light-hearted, romantic read, this is a great choice.

It’s one of those books once started can’t put down. I liked the attention to detail of all the travel itinerary. Loved the 4 main characters and their interaction with each other. The wedding venues were amazing and so well described was easy to imagine. A great holiday read or something to get you through a few wet days. Totally uplifting. Can’t wait for this talented Author’s next book.

Love, love, LOVE this book! There’s romance, humour, travel and culture and much more. This is the kind of book you don’t want to put down and you also don’t want it to end.. it’s easy to visualize and put yourself right into the adventures. This would make a great movie! Round the world in nine weddings

Fabulous chick-lit. I particularly enjoyed the evocative descriptions of stunning locations across the world. So easy to read and draws you through as though you are watching a film. Fun characters, merriment and drama along the journey.

Can't wait for the next Victoria Mae novel.
