Overall, I thought this fanfic was really sweet. Personally, I thought there were too many references to quotes/lines from other Harry Potter characters in this fanfic (i.e., Draco saying “Always” and having the same patronus as Hermoine). Aside from that, I thought the story was cute and lighthearted.

I did find it interesting how Rose was referred to as Hermoine’s daughter several times throughout the story. Becoming someone’s legal guardian does not automatically make them your child, so this was confusing (especially since Hermoine and Rose were half-sisters). The spice in this fanfic is classy/tasteful and doesn’t detract from the overall plot.

I loved this one! Draco has worked hard and achieved goals on his own merit! He was in a position to help people and he does. Hermione, on the other hand, has lead a quiet life and is facing her re-entry to society. This is the opposite of most Fics and I am here for it!

If you enjoy pining, redemption, found family, and warm fuzzies, you should read this.

DNF’d at 88%. Couldn’t get into the relationship portion of the fic as I struggled with the reciprocation on Hermione’s end. The chemistry wasn’t there for me. Enjoyed the blood ward part but it wasn’t enough to keep me engaged
