After our rival gives up the throne as my dying wish, my men trust him to keep a close watch on me and protect me from any danger that may come my way.
He keeps me safe, somehow understanding the darkness that lurks inside of me. He knows it cannot be caged, and he allows me the ability to set it free when we’re alone.
The things I’ve done don’t hold a candle to the things I will do.
I have everything I could possibly want…three sexy, attentive, mafia boyfriends. All of us are under one roof, and they spoil and provide for my every desire.
But why do I have a nagging feeling that something—or someone—is still missing from my life?
Am I selfish for being insatiable when I already have more than most?
When our true enemies, the ones we thought we eliminated, come back to finish what they started, I worry I may not be able to escape death this time around.
I end up sharing a secret with the one man I shouldn’t let in—a secret that holds the power to ruin us all.
I may have crossed a line, but whether my men like it or not, this vixen is entering her villain era.
Villain Era is the sequel to Untamed Vixen. Untamed Vixen should be read first. Meant for mature audiences.
Six months after Untamed Vixen and things are not as happily ever after as I expected them to be with the way book one ended.
The boys are keeping secrets from her, distancing themselves to keep her safe, and their relationships are strained. Simon, their one time enemy, is now her body guard, friend, and closest confidant. & June? Girly is wasting away, hurting over her men, and filled with so much doubt.
I honestly hated the boys for the majority of this book and how their relationships ended up with June. The only saving grace was Simon, god bless him. He was constant and steady, never lied to her, always had her back, and looked after her when all she did was ache for the others. The man is god tier, watching the love of his life pine over other men like that, but thankfully June realizes she has feelings for him and they get to have their moment (even if it’s fucking brief as hell but whatever).
Overall I guess it was a satisfying ending, even if I felt the bullshit with the guys and finding out who was after her and why was super drawn out. I’m just happy that we got to know Simon and that he got added to the relationship.
The first book with June was nice. But this one was not my cup of tea at all. But I can’t do miscommunication tropes and self pity. This had a Tamlin vibe there and I just can’t deal. I read this for Maggie and Simon. The other two could die for all I cared, I couldn’t stand them really. But Magnus and Simon are ❤️💋🤌
This book was just as repetitive as the first book which is annoying. I read the same thing over and over. The main plot was good and I enjoyed it but nothing about June screamed villain era. She was so sooky and was nothing like the bad bitch she was in the first book which was disappointing
Untamed Vixen was written as a standalone, with a HEA but Luna decided it was not right. 6 months after Untamed Vixen ends, we see June living with Dominic, Coen, and Magnus. But now theres someone that has entered June’s heart and mind which causes a rift within the group. June is a total bad ass but when unknown assailant tries to kill her the guys team together to bring them down.
TW/Tropes: Age Gap, Second Chance, Mafia Romance, Enemies to Lovers, Forced Proximity, Why choose, Group scenes, Murder, Death, Kidnapping, PTSD, Scars, Attempted murder, Panic attack, Mention of deceased parent, Mention of abusive parent/alcoholism, Mention of assault, Torture, Mention of Stockholm syndrome, Self harm, Mention of deceased sibling, Mention of drowning, Mention of domestic violence, DVP, TVP.
I originally had this book as 5 stars simply because I read it within a day after not reading a damn thing in like three months. But the more I thought about the book the more I gravitated towards a 4 star read for me.
This was good, but it honestly would have been better if it was pushed into the previous book as well. What was the sole purpose of this book? Besides adding Simon into the relationship? Which should have been added into the previous book.
Most of this book could have been cut out and a good bit could have been pushed into the previous book as well. Other than that, the book gripped me from the start and I could not put it down. Luna Pierce is fastly becoming one of my favorite authors. XD
I still highly recommend this series. You can definitely read these out of order like I have.
honestly the only reason it got two stars instead of one was because of simon and roughly the last 100 pages on the book. i loved the first book in this series but the second felt very very repetitive and made me annoyed. i only kept reading for simon and im so happy i did, within a page the book took a complete 180 and reminded me why i loved the first book! it almost put me into a book slump but i was too hard headed to dnf lol
Okay I loved this book. I was really irritated with how Coen and Dom were treating her. All the secrets and lies seemed ridiculous because I feel like she had already proved that she could handle that life in the first book. Poor Magnus was stuck in the middle again. Honestly even in the first book I liked Simon even before he saved her. I was real Simon all the way this book. He was just so sweet and I loved how their relationship progressed. I honestly started to suspect Gwyneth in book one after she told June to use the knife, so I called that. I feel like I’d the guys had talked to her they would have figured it out. I’m glad it ended on a good note and all the guys finally figured everything out and apologized. I can’t wait for Cora’s book!

After reading Untamed Vixen, I felt that there was something else missing and that it wasn't really the end they needed, it was beautiful, don't get me wrong, but with the way Simon gained more and more space in June's life and how much he felt for her, he needed to be included and June needed him more than she thought. Villain Era was amazing. It was everything I was hoping for regarding Simon and June, he had my heart from the start and I was loving every second of it. The angst, though, the ache and distance between June and the guys were so heartbreaking it was hard to read, that's why Simon was so important. Also, I have to applaud Luna because the way she wrote about Dom, Magnus, and Coen, made me hate them and love them even more at the same time. Even though they were all going through something, she managed to make them look bad and also good at the same time, that's no easy feat. The struggle and the angst of this book were out of this world, I felt so much for June and my heart broke for Dom, Magnus, and Coen. It was heartbreakingly beautiful.
Also, I HIGHLY recommend for anyone planning on reading this duet, to start with Broken Like You, the stories are interconnected and, especially in Villain Era, what happened in Broken Like You will make a difference and it makes the story so much more wholesome. I loved seeing Claire and Johnny. I wished I could see more of Josey and if he ever ended up with Rosie, Claire's best friend.
About the plot, I knew from the start who was behind all that, especially after the cryptic messages left in the attacks, it was obvious that all that was personal and a revenge attack on all of them. The reasoning behind was different than I thought it was but it was still the person I suspected. Also, that ending with the group, OMG, it was so good!! Seeing Co come out of his shell was amazing and seeing him and Magnus banter with Simon was so cute! I loved seeing them together, I loved the duet completely. It was such a good read, I was sad it had to be over but I'm so happy I read it. And these covers, omg, they are so beautiful, can't wait to buy the physical version of them.

Villain Era by Luna Pierce is the sequel to Untamed Vixen. You must read book one to fully enjoy the story.
The story picks up with June, our plucky, kicka$$ heroine, about six months after the dramatic events of book one. To say that her life has undergone an adjustment period is an understatement. June is attempting to settle into a protective life with her three men, all heads of a mafia organization, while maintaining some independence for herself. She loves them dearly but something is off and it’s upsetting the balance in their relationship and in herself.
Dominic, the stoic head of the organization, Coen, the hotheaded second-chance friend, and Magnus, the golden retriever, occasional psycho, are all mad about June. They love her fiercely and would do anything to protect her. They struggle with how much to let her into their world without putting her in danger but will keeping secrets, put them all at risk?
Then there’s Simon. A once fierce rival, turned trusted bodyguard, who loves June with devotion. He’s willing to sacrifice anything to be with her. But at what cost?
Power dynamics and action explode in this mafia thriller. The heat level is intense. The tension in this household is not just from the secrets, the smexy chemistry is huge, and written beautifully. Read the trigger warnings. This is a dark, mafia, WhyChoose, romance with characters who tip the scales closer to the black end of morally gray. I’m totally here for it. This was an epic return to the series (one of my personal favorites) and I couldn’t be happier.
the writing and backstory is way better than the last book. we got the background that felt like it was missing from Junes first book. ALSO SIMON?! i love him. im so glad he was added to the group but the slow burn KILLED me.
This is a second book to Untamed Vixan. Here we go more into June’s relationship with her guys and how there lives have progressed 6 months after the ending of the first book. But this time Simon is added more into the books. If you haven’t read Untamed Vixan you will need to before you go into this one…. I did love learning more about Simon and let me tell you. His character was different then how i expected him to be when hearing about him in the first book. But I am not disappointed! I really enjoyed his character! I want to say so much about him but i refuse to put spoilers!! I can’t wait to get Cora’s book! And am excited to see what happens with her in the next book.
Please make sure to check the trigger warnings at the beginning of this book.
June adjusts to her new life with her men, her men settling into their new roles, plus all of them trying to maintain their new relationship ripped my heart out before putting it back together. Simon is appointed her body guard while she is figuring everything out and their slow burn romance is the story I was hoping for them both!
I was gifted an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Book 1 of this series was like the much younger and more innocent little sister. But books 2 and 3?! They are definitely the more corrupt, bad and dirty older siblings 😂 Still good- but some parts were just wild
This book shocked me. With the way June and her men left in Untamed Vixen, I thought they were going to be perfect. But Pierce had other plans to make me not like the men for majority of the book. The lies, the way they treated June, I was so disappointed with how they were throughout it.
Simon was the main feature of this book that made it what it is. His love for June, the way he tended to her, noticed every detail about her. I’m obsessed with Simon to say the least. He watched June day after day for 6 months love other men while he sat in the background…. and he still waited like come on that is god tier loving right there. I did expect a lot more spice with Simon when in reality we got two scenes. Magnus also came into my good books as you could tell he didn’t want to lie to June and truly was fed up with the bullshit they were serving her. I respect that.
Overall, the ending was a great way to end their story, but also to see the men came to their senses and for June to accept their apologies. I’m also just grateful we got to see more of Simon, in both a better and more in depth light 🫶🏽
EDIT: I’ve come back to it and I now would rate it a solid 3.5/5 🌟
Omg these books keep getting better!!! Simon is so freaking dreamy I’m so happy he is part of the crew. He was the best book boyfriend without even being a boyfriend for 80% of the book!!!! I’m obsessed with this universe!!! Luna Pierce is becoming one of my top fav authors!!
While this is technically the third book of the Sinners and Angles interconnected series, it is the SECOND book in June’s DUET. You do not need to read book one to enjoy this book but you DO need to read this Book 2: Untamed Vixen FIRST.
This takes place about 6 months after then ending of Untamed Vixen. Life has continued and the guys have been keeping a big secret from June. Simon has become a permanent fixture in her life. As her new bodyguard, he is with her every moment her guys are not… and while the guys are out chasing down leads, that leaves a ton of time for Simon and June to build a friendship. She knows she won’t cross that friendship line, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t want to 🤭 She can’t help the fact that Simon is always there when she needs him the most. Dom, Magnus and Cohen on the other hand, seem to continuously push her away. Will the secrets they’ve been keeping ruin what they fought so hard for…?
Oh my god! Simonnnnn 🤤 I am SO GLAD we got this follow up after Untamed Vixen. I never disliked Simon but this book will have you falling head over heels for him in no time! With the other guys always out and about, June and Simon are together literally all the time. We’re really able to dive into Simon’s personality. I loved Simon’s protective nature and how he would put June before everything else.. which seemed to be something that was hard for her other guys this time around. I will have to say Magnus was my favorite in Untamed Vixen... but he better be making some room for Simon. I think there was a lot of character growth across the board. Each guy went through a lot of emotions, trying to make the best choices and learning to prioritize the right things. We know June is bad ass so I really enjoyed watching her make sure they remembered she could hold her own… and that epilogue….goddamn 🥵🥵 I’m not ready to leave this world yet so I can’t wait to read Cora’s story!
ok first off, I loved the first book, I thought the FMC was a total badass, and I was so into this queen of mafia role for her, but then... the FMC was sooooo over the top with her childish behavior, and the author made so many mistakes, like in the first book, she asked to be involved and in the second book the FMC was always saying that she didn't ask for to be involved... so what the actual ef? that was so cringy... and also, I really thought the FMC was pregnant because her mood swings and I had to look for her age in the first book because her behavior was so wrong in so many levels, I mean, at the begining she was portraid as a badass and then she was so annoying... I looooved Simon's role in this one, she didn't deserve him at all... I ask yisus all the time where is my Simon? why is that I only meet Andrew Tates? WHY? where are the Simons and Magnus in the world?
Read the first thought "hmmm...pretty anticlimactic maybe the second one will be the one that amazes me", read the second one was 60% in and nothing interesting was happening. Still don't understand what was the point of them ending together.
Made me wait til the epilogue to get all 4 dicks at the same time!!! TORTURE. And I can’t believe she fit 3 dicks in her vagina but never did anal. Like 3 dicks in your vagina but not anal, brave brave girl. This was June and her men plus Simon’s book. We fell in love with Simon in untamed vixen enough that he got to get his own book. Villain era. Because he is the men’s villain. But he had risked his life for June, so they bring him on as her body guard. Dom is now in charge of the mafia, and him and Coen and Magnus seem to always be too busy for June and she’s just stuck with Simon all the time. She starts telling them she misses them and begging them to put in effort, she has 3 boyfriends and she’s lonelier than ever. They’re keeping secrets from her and won’t let her into what’s going on with business. They come home bloodied and bruised and the only person who will tell her anything is Simon. But they’re keeping secrets from him too. We get all the boys POVs so we know whoever was putting the hits on June is still alive and still targeting her. But they are also going after Johnny and Claire so it’s someone who has connections to both sides. So this is what has them puzzled. They are spending all their time trying to figure out who wants to harm June that they’re losing June. She finally gets them to wake up and let her join. They form a plan with her and Claire as bait. But June gets lured away, Simon had put a tracker on her. It was Gwyneth behind it. Franklins widow. We thought she liked June but she hated her because June isn’t supposed to be allowed to be with more than one man. It’s unfair to gwyneth. She wanted to kill June. Coen jumps in front of the bullet saving June and Simon. June is hysterical. She goes off on Dom. Coen survives. Dom ends up apologizing and was willing to give it all up for her and she tells him she just doesn’t want to by excluded anymore. They add Simon into their relationship. So they are all ruling the mafia together now. June has 4 boyfriends. And the epilogue is their group sex Tuesday. 3 in her vagina and Dom in her mouth. I can’t believe they never did Anal play but 3 fucked her vagina at the same time. Crazy. Anyways this book was good. We watched her and Simon fall in love even though she tried not to in respect of her boys, but it still happened. And then we watched all the men make up. And got to see Johnny and Claire and we know that Cora is gonna get a book because she has eyes for Miller and Alec. Miller is johnnys right hand man and Alex is Junes driver. So Cora is gonna get at least 2 men and be a part of the mafia world too so I’m excited for that.

Honestly, would tend more towards 3.5 ⭐ (maybe? Not sure) I loved the storyline, and including yet another famous trope beautifully. But the internal dialogue was killing me! In many places especially towards the last chapters it was so frustrating, especially that they're not saying/thinking something we don't already know or they haven't before. And in other places, when memories flood or internal dialogue took over in the middle of the conversation, I often had to go back to remember what were they actually talking about before to keep track of the conversation flow. The internal dialogue is not bad, don't get me wrong, it was very insightful and well written. There was just toooo much of it. To the point where I actually feel it took away from the plot twist/reveal blow. There would have been so many other details that could have been dropped in during the guys' chapters to really build up the suspense and tease who it can actually be. And it was just too anticlimactic and not dramatic enough when it was revealed because of this lingering.
There was a very nice balance of (and effort put into) showing all the different POVs and I actually appreciate that.
However... The book blurb says she tells Simon a secret? I still am not sure what was the secret she shared... They were friends and she started confiding more, but no "secret".
I don't think the book was June's villain era; but I believe it did start at the end of the book. (Though she would've stayed a light villain? She did say good and bad are subjective and no one is truly only 1 thing)
Honestly if the other books in this universe have the same amount of internal dialogue, I am not sure I would read them. So I am not picking up any yet even though I am certainly intrigued.
SPOILER alert: It is obvious that June would've turned dark and murderous if Coen was killed. So although him finally sacrificing was on point for his storyline, it was obvious that he wouldn't have been killed off. I would probably have been more tense and interested if Dom was the one who took the bullet, showing this greater sacrifice, that he actually was willing to do (loved seeing him on his knees though).
I need to begin this review by just saying that I absolutely LOVED this book.
Tropes: reverse harem, second chance romance, mafia, forced proximity, age gap.
Brief Summary: As June is processing her trauma from what she endured in Untamed Vixen, her three men push her away and into the arms of their enemy. Who also happens to be June’s smoking hot bodyguard. Simon gives Jude the space to explore her newfound dark side. He gives the ability for this untamed vixen to explore her villain era.
Untamed Vixen is one of my favorite reads from this year, and I didn’t expect for a sequel to top it but Villain Era did just that. I fell in love with Simon as soon as we were introduced to him, and this book did a perfect job of building up his relationship with June. He noticed her weight loss and depression and was doing everything he could to bring back her spark. I’m convinced that Magnus is the love of my life. I immediately clicked with his personality and he was my favorite of June’s men in Untamed Vixen, but Simon is now tied with him. **(Slight spoilers)** Dominic and Coen really frustrated in this book. I got to the point where when Magnus mentioned it just being him, Simon, and June I was completely on board. But I also really appreciate this because it’s important for characters to be flawed and for relationships in books to have flaws and not be constantly perfect.
Overall, I highly recommend that everyone breads these books. (Definitely make sure you check trigger warnings though). I’m extremely grateful for being sent an ARC, and I’m so excited for Cora’s book to be released next year!
Holy Son of a Nutcracker! This book was just off the hook fantastic. I started it exactly when it came and I didn't put it down till after midnight so I'm really tired hehe but it was so worth it. June and Her men Dom Coen and Magnus and now Simon, who is her bodyguard btw, were hotter than fire especially with that last chapter.
( THIS part is a slight spoiler so you can skip if you want, I think Simon really shines in Era especially since he becomes her confident in a way because she's with him more now because the boys are more busy with work so to speak after she got injured and keeping secrets and not talking to her as much. Simon is the one who gives June what she needs by taking her to the underground fight club and helping her work out and gain weight and muscle. He called it her coming into her Villain Era hints the title of the book.) Spoiler ending.
When the boys come around and stop keeping secrets from her the action heats up and so does the banter and steamy scenes, and gets just fun because June is included more in their work. I can't wait to reread this duo and then get Cora's story when it comes out.

Wow, wow, wow!!!!! I am SPEECHLESS, FLABBERGASTED, MOUTH DRIPPING RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!
I’m not going to lie, when I started this book I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about it. Especially given the dynamic of the three men with June. I wasn’t left completely sure or certain of how their relationship would work out, but I AM SO glad it did.
But then we add Simon to the mix??? Oh wow. I’m a SIMP for Simon. I’m saying it— he’s my favorite. Magnus too. I think they both completely understand the dynamic of the relationship between multiple people and didn’t try to hold June back from doing what (or who) she wanted. Simon though… I want one of him.
“My job? Simon leans back. Is that what you think this is? Me doing my job? June, love, I would do anything for you.” — AND ANYTHING HE DID.
Honestly, super pissed off at Coen and Dominic. SO much could have been avoided had. they. just. communicated. LITERALLY. But at the end, they were redeemed 😝.
The end of the book TOOK ME BY SURPRISE. I WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT AND THE PLOT TWIST?????? *slaps hand on desk* I loved it! Gonna need me some four guys myself 😩.
June is living with Dominic, Coen, and Magnus these days, and you would hope that they're living in peace, but it's not quite there. See, June's dudes are shutting her out while she's recovering, and things are going south quickly. One of the secrets they're keeping from her ends up bringing in Simon as her bodyguard, and little do the guys know, Simon is providing all the emotional strength that they aren't so things are definitely getting dicey. I'm not saying Simon & June are acting inappropriate because they're not, it's just Simon understands her so he's doing what she needs to get through it all. This story had me up in my feels since I could feel June's pain with everything happening, but there's also that level of suspense with twists coming in hot, and finally there's that heat that Luna Pierce writes so well between them but can they overcome the damage being done with the distance?! You'll have to experience this story to find out as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
ARC Review of Villain Era by Luna Pierce Tropes: Age Gap Second Chance Reverse Harem Mafia Romance Enemies to Lovers Forced Proximity.
This was the perfect sequel to Untamed Vixen! The raw emotions from June, Dominic, Coen, Magnus and Simon were phenomenal. Simon f-ing Beckett showing his heart of gold was made me fall in love with his character even more. So many times throughout this I wanted to wring Dominic and Coen’s neck myself. Magnus is a hardcore, tattooed man with golden retriever-like energy when it comes to June. Coen’s emotional explanation of his reasons why gripped at my heart strings. Dominic’s redemption arc was so needed and I’m proud of him coming to his senses and realizing you can have both things, a career as a made man and a lover with an open heart. I loved the slow simmering between Simon and June. Especially since they were respectful of what the harem wanted. June’s feelings of distance was palpable and I’m so proud of her strength and ability to stand up to these scary looking dudes without flinching. The spice was exceptional, definitely a strong 4/5. The epilogue was the icing on the cake and absolutely needed.
