Game of Thrones season 8, cat videos with corny music in them, His Dad Will Do. Oh, don’t mind me, I’m just listing things that have endlessly disappointed me in the past. Okay, that might be way too much of an exaggeration, because nothing was beats the last season of Throne of Games in terms of sheer, unadulterated disappointment! I tend get hyperbolic when I think these kinds of books will be one thing, but then end up being a whole different thing. I think I’m just craving a romance that’s a little more on the illicit side, because sadly, this is another one of those sugary sweet love stories. Can you imagine!? A book called His Dad Will Do is the one that has a story so sweet it could easily give me a cavity! It’s sad because if I read it any other time, I might have even loved it! But right now… this isn’t really what I was looking for. I’m getting a little tired of all these “older guy” romance books where the older guy in question is still, like, super fit and has a full head of hair and is barely even graying up top. Come on! At that point, what’s the point of having them be an old dude if you’re not even going to allow them to show any signs of aging! Oh, you know what this reminds me of? These are my exact thoughts about that one book I read earlier in the year! Neighbor’s Whatever Whatever. Whatever it was called. Based on the blurb, I thought the two main characters would have this huge gap, but the main guy was in his early twenties, and the other guy was… in his late twenties. Don’t do that. Don’t swindle me like that. I guess it’s really not that big of a deal (this is me lying through my teeth), but please call me up when one of these twinks hooks up with a geezer who’s at least a 3 on the Norwood Scale.
I guess I should talk about the plot, for all the good that’ll do. I mean, you pretty much get all the context you need from the title. Might as well, you know? Not like I’ve got anything else to talk about. This book follows a guy named Silas, who’s on his “seduce-your-dad-type” shit and has the brilliant plan of getting revenge on his ex by trying to hook up with his dad. See? I told you it was self-explanatory! Now, when I started it, I was like, “great!” there’s a wonderful set-up for some drama! The dad will find out about Silas’ original, nefarious, plan for getting together with him and then BLAM, third-act break-up! At least, that’s what I was hoping for, but then… by the second chapter, everybody’s up to speed? Silas just flat out tells Logan (the dad) his reason for being there and then everything is comfy cozy from then on? Wait what, that’s it!? I honestly don’t even know anymore. I’ve often been told that I’m too much of a hater, so maybe I’m being too harsh on a book for not being what I wanted it to be, but I just feel like with that cover and that title, having an easy-going tension free story might be a bit of a misdirect. On a more positive note, I suppose I did get a kick out of how terribly the narrative made Silas’ ex out to be. You think I’m a hater? Well, the dad took almost every page to talk about how awful his son was! That’s some real hater shit. Seriously the dad (the ex’s dad!) had more to say about him than Silas did! So I enjoyed that part of the book. Pretty funny, in a silly, messed up, kind of way. I think this is an okay book. I did read it… it can’t be denied that this was a book I read. That counts for something, I think. I didn’t hate it, but that sounds like I’m being snarky, like I’m giving it a back-handed compliment, so I’ll try to be sincere for once, even though it pains me greatly; so... yes, I thought this was hot. Could’ve been hotter tho~ough.

A nice light story with some well presented frosting of Daddy-kink, no age-play.
The dynamic between Daddy Logan and boy Silas is quite natural. Logan cares lovingly and Silas is happy to forget all worries and trust his Daddy blindly.
His eyes are half-closed and his lips slightly parted. “I’ll take care of you, baby boy. All you have to do is what Daddy tells you. Trust Daddy to give you what you need.” 💞
The plot itself is funny and fluffy.
Lance always bitches about how his dad only fucks twinks way younger than him, and I can’t think of a better “fuck you” response to what Lance did to me than to be the latest twink in his dad’s bed. 🤭
The sexual scenes are a bit kinky but overall not particularly smutty. A bit of bondage and spanking and toys. But just enough of the kinky side for a broad readership to enjoy.

This book’s not on KU and honestly pretty pricey considering its rather short length but still, I loved reading it so much. I love a good Daddy/boy romance from time to time, especially the tender (and almost Cinderella-like) ones like this one. Add the bonus of getting-revenge-on-my-cheating-ex-with-his-father was juicy enough to spend the money without blinking an eye.
I hope for a book for Lance (Silas’ cheating ex and Logan’s son) someday. Maybe the author will come up with something redeeming for him. In the meantime and with my love for high heat novels I’m def looking up other books this author has published.

Where is this author been my whole life? Thank you to whoever put this book under my radar.
Revenge sex is the best; Silas catches his boyfriend cheating on him. Out for revenge, he goes after his ex’s- father, Logan. While both agree to their mutual attraction, Logan asks Silas to spend the weekend. Logan feels somewhat guilty but not denying the fantasies he has had for his boy.

but am i supposed to ignore the potential plagiarism? back in the day, i read “Your dad will do” by Katee Robert and i admit i don’t remember much, but the beginning was pretty much the same. the cheating, the skimpy coat etc. the title is pretty much the same.
so yeah, this is technically a nice book, i’d give it 3 stars, but i don’t fuck with these things.
what bothers me is that there is no mention of inspiration anywhere, but there is the little disclaimer “this is a product of the author’s imagination” and i can’t help but think that this is a product of katee’s imagination.
it’s just too much to be a coincidence to me. and i can’t accept it.
i won’t leave a rating until i’m 100% sure of my decision and comments are open if you guys want to share your thoughts.

This is the first book I've read by this author. The taboo subject kinda fascinated me, so I decided to give it a try.
I liked it.
I liked the chemistry between the two men. Their sexy times are pretty hot. I wish they had more conversation and more heart to heart discussions together instead of sex scene after sex scene. Since they obviously knew one another before, their relationship felt a little shallow, and a little rushed. It was quickly glossed over making me wish for more.
May/December romances are my favorite trope, but I really wonder if they will make it for the long run.
I hope so because I really did like.them.

This book had enriched my life lol. Where has that author been my whole life?!
Had this book around 99% smut? Yes. Did it bother me? No.
This whole book was so well written, the amount of sex that we had here, somehow didn’t made it overwhelming. I loved this forbidden story, I loved the plot and I loved they whole daddy/boy dynamic.
For me was it perfection! And I really really hope that this author will write more in the future, because I definitely crave more.

This was okayish... This book is basically an MM copy of Katee Robert "your dad will do". Same story basically. If you liked the male/female version of Katee book you will like this one. Not forgetting, this book is erotica, so if you want something with amazing story and content this book is not for you. If you are looking for some smut (with some cringe moments not gonna lie) and just fun/light read this book is good.

2.5⭐, because it wasn't that bad, objectively it could go for 3⭐, but as much as the premise of this book was very promising, it didn't deliver the promised spicy, forbidden story.
To tell you the truth, I was expecting some really sweet revenge and crazy, hot, revengeful sex, but damn, damn was I wrong.
Soooo underwhelming.

Imagine a 22 - year old blonde twink turning up at a 47 - year old tall, hot, silver fox daddy's house saying : I'm here, I want you to fuck me and even though there's a small catch of me being your cheating son's ex, we've kinda liked each other before, we both know it, so now I'm available and ready to go.
And then the daddy doesn't grab him and fuck him - as one would expect - no, he takes his precious time of turning down the twink over and over again, engaging in boring dialogues about eating and drinking and cringe comfort nobody asked for - the guy is literally there for sex alone - and the Daddy doesn't give it!
At around 70% I finally had about enough and I was like - are they gonna fuck already???
And don't even get me started about the Logan's son catching them. Sooo juvenile, you'd think the Daddy would be a bit better at handling the situation but all he kept talking about was how shitty his son was to cheat on Silas and how now Silas has nowhere to go because of them breaking up. 🙄
Yeah. Break-up's happen, Daddy. Those two have had problems for a longer time and if you listen to Silas about their relationship, it didn't sound very good, at all. In fact, why was Silas even with someone who clearly didn't like him??
So Logan constantly talking shit about his son didn't work for me.
Silas's monologue about his own dad just added to the weirdness of the story.
"But he loves me, you know? And I love him. Like a real dad, okay? I don't want to fuck him." He shudders and makes a grimace that conveys his disgust at the idea. "So I don't have 'daddy issues', all right? I just like calling you Daddy. It's hot and I know it's kind of dirty and wrong because you were almost kind of my father-in-law, but it's the good kind of dirty and wrong."
In the end they magically both love each other and Daddy gets Silas the business opportunity of a lifetime. So, nothing about their life together, nothing past that weekend of "kinky" sex, nothing more than a childish payback to Daddy's son (who couldn't care less).
Whatever wow factor this author was going for, it didn't work.
Both characters were boring, especially the Daddy, they didn't convince me with their dynamic and it wasn't sexy. Even the sex was boring. Everything was boring.

There’s a lot of sex and mild kink in this novella - it’s about 22yo Silas, who caught his now ex cheating, and Logan, the father of said ex, whom Silas secretly found how for a long while.
Silas shows up on Logan’s doorstep, intending on seducing him, and boy oh boy does it work - mainly because Logan has had a thing for Silas for ages, too. Their daddy/boy relationship feels natural, and I loved the way they communicate and TALK to each other.
There’s no drama at all, and it’s almost cavity inducing sweet, but I it was exactly what I needed to read right now - 3.5 stars rounded up, despite the fact that it isn’t on KU - but it was money well spent 😅🔥

I appreciate that it has almost little to no angts at all just the way I like it but
Funny thing is this story doesn't work because of that, because there is no wrongness between them.
When I read the blurb I expect that forbidden storyline to set in from this story but

I just want how it feels wrong because I've read a similar storyline like this before on how it works so well because the forbidden part of it and how they shouldn't do that but they do it anyway but in this everything was so immediate and also the characters didn't help they were so two dimensional.
The timeline confuses me that it caught me off guard one moments we're two days into the story but then in the next couple of line we're already a week in it.
Maybe it's just my sour mood idk.

Uhm… well, this is awkward.
So, back in my MF days, I absolutely read and devoured everything by Katee Robert and one of my favorite books ever by her (and still is), was Your Dad Will Do.
Like this sounded so eerily familiar that I went and grabbed my copy and yup. Almost the entire first few chapters are almost word for word the same, the plot is the same, and even a lot of the scenes together were the EXACT. SAME.
This had the potential to be good. This had the potential to be interesting.
Instead? It’s just amazing words stolen from another author.

I wasn't aware of what I was about to read but I'm happy I did
Y'all know this was ridiculous right? Like truly crazy? I'm not saying I wasn't into it (you see the star rating) I'm just making sure we're all aware of what just went down.
Forget the dramatics because at the end of the day this is a contemporary so nothing too insane happens but the premise and subsequent story that follows is. I'm not saying Logan and Silas weren't cute together. I really enjoyed the Daddy/ boy story I wasn't expecting to get but definitely not upset I got. This book is about 80% smut and 20% story. Usually I would have something to say about that (that being the difference between erotica and romance) but it worked here. There's still a fully realized HEA and I truly believed Silas and Logan's feelings for each other. Y'all know this was ridiculous right? Like truly crazy? I'm not saying I wasn't into it (you see the star rating) I'm just making sure we're all aware of what just went down.
Forget the dramatics because at the end of the day this is a contemporary so nothing too insane happens but the premise and subsequent story that follows is. I'm not saying Logan and Silas weren't cute together. I really enjoyed the Daddy/ boy story I wasn't expecting to get but definitely not upset I got. This book is about 80% smut and 20% story. Usually I would have something to say about that (that being the difference between erotica and romance) but it worked here. There's still a fully realized HEA and I truly believed Silas and Logan's feelings for each other. With this book I did something I normally don't do with a new to me author. I one-clicked, I usually like to read a sample to get a feel not just for the author but also for the story they have written. Well.... I'm so glad I did, because it paid off. I loved this book from the time I started until I finished it.
What start as going for a night of revenge sex on his cheating ex's with the guy's father, turns into a weekend of discovering the daddy/boy relationship suits them perfectly. The chemistry between Silas and Logan is sizzling.
The story was pretty well written, move along a good pace and has a good flow. I can admit that I do love a good taboo - Daddy/boy, age-gap and lots more. I will say that this book don't disappoint.

WOW that book was FIRE. The majority of it takes place over a weekend but I absolutely believed in their love and happy future by the end. The Daddy kink (not age play) was superbly done with lots of praise and caretaking and dominance. Sign me up for a Logan of my own, please!

I really enjoyed this Daddy/boy romance. It started out with some perfect revenge. Silas is a young man who has been living with his boyfriend for several years. One night, he catches him with another guy and they immediately break up. Silas wants to get even by hooking up with his ex's dad, Logan. The two have always been attracted to each other and have a lot in common, but there was never any inappropriate interaction. Now, both men are free to be with each other. It's only supposed to be for a weekend, but what happens when they each want more? This book has a 25 year age gap, lots of passion, ethical boundaries, and a strong love.

Silas is determined to get back at his ex Lance by getting under his dad Logan. This story is very well done. It definitely has instalove vibes, but in reality Silas and Logan have known each other for around two years.
I’m not gonna lie, this story is mostly steam and light on the plot, but it works well for this book. All in all it makes for a light read with a dash of comeuppance and a HEA that made my heart happy.

This was a spicy read that gave you a lot of sweetness mixed in. You think it’s all going to be revenge driven, but it turns out to be this sweet little age gap read with some lovely daddy/boy elements.
I can’t say there was anything too shocking here, even with the revenge aspect. Logan and his son, Lance, certainly have some stuff to work out, but it wasn’t all that deep. Silas was sweet as can be but trying to hide it under this tough exterior.
A quick read that was satisfying all around.

I love what Logan calls Silas and what Silas calls Logan. The outfit Silas wears to Logan’s house isn’t the smartest one to wear in this winter weather. Silas really thought Logan would turn him away. I’m very glad Logan didn’t. The moment Logan knew there was no turning back was epic. The puzzle scene is adorable. Silas playing the piano is cute. I enjoyed the ending.

What seems to start with a cheeky, spiteful endeavor to get revenge, actually turns out to be something much deeper.
The whole story essentially takes place in a single weekend and it is mostly s*xytimes, but it never feels overwhelming or overdone. It just feels significant.
This book was pure steam, but the scenes are so well written that I actually couldn't wait for the next encounter to happen.

She was a new author and I wasn't sure if I would like this story and I ended up loving it very much. I didn't blame Silas for wanting revenge after catching his boyfriend getting a blowjob at a Christmas party. Ending up at the father's house could have gone very wrong and ended up being very right since the father Logan had been attracted to Silas for two years and now could act on it. They were so good together and the love and affection grew and you liked both of them so much. I was amused when the now ex finds dad and Silas fucking and you find out he had wanted to break up with Silas. He admitted his fault and while you don't really like him you are glad that he leaves and Silas gets to stay. I loved the part where his musical that he had been working on was finally produced and premiered and they were together and would stay together.

Holy moly. This book was HOT, HOT, HOT. This started out as a revenge hook up, but we find out that they have always been attracted to each other which makes it a lot more believable when it becomes something more. The book mainly takes place over a weekend. While it was a book with a lot of sex scenes, there were moments throughout that let us see the emotion they were feeling. I liked this a LOT.
