In the beginning it was very interesting how the relationship was going between the captain and his wife.. and then the plottwist from the prince and the twin sister of the captains wife... And then I lost interest... I took forever and ever to go on in the book until chapter 29 or something to get another plottwist... Not going to read the next book.
The book is okay to listen to if you just want background noice

The Prince and the Pirate and….

Soooo happy to see the story of Georgette and Cpt Stone continue to continue weaving further intrigue with Serena and Prince Edward in Bound to a Siren! Can’t wait for the introduction of Hercules in the next book! Loving the lore crossovers with Isis Poseidon Osiris Michelangelo King George and Queen Charlotte it’s a who’s who of godly proportions and I’m diggin all of it.

This series is not good...
A bizzare mixture of pirates of the Caribbean, Greek and Egyptian mythology written in a rushed and messy format, with a few token spicy scenes thrown in...

Yeah I'll probably read the next one...

2.5 honestly, and that’s being generous. This book went from weird, to cringe, to just plain bad. It had promise at one point in time, and I could kinda see the general idea of it, but that got lost super quick with the author’s twisted interpretation of classic mythological creature. Dumb…don’t change myths we all know and love, that’s trashy.

I enjoyed this one more. I was really interested on Serena and Edward’s story, though the romance still seemed to be rushed with no build up at all, and the story itself was very focused on the adventure itself. I’ll finish the series, but I’m walking into the third book knowing what to expect romance-wise, which is only, honestly, like 20% of the book or even less. But I enjoy the weaving of mythology and an alternative England. I feel like Edward and Serena could have been a great story with their characters having been through what they have and how they met.

I really enjoyed this book! It was definitely spicier than the first. I feel like I missed an important reveal in the book. One second I thought one thing and the next all the characters knew something else and had learned a couple chapters back but I don’t remember reading it. I’ll definitely have to do a reread now that I know what to look for. Overall an amazing book and can’t wait to read book 3 when it comes out!

I love it! It’s one of my favorite the little mermaid inspired fantasy romance. The plot is great and for someone who didn’t read the first book in the series I’m able to enjoy and follow the story. The spicy level and sexual tension in this book are just right and Prince Edward and Serena’s chemistry is great! I would recommend this book to any fellow mermaid/siren lovers 🧜🏻‍♀️🔱🪸

This book took me on an adventure and I couldn't put it down. I completely forgot I was reading. Every time it was the end of a chapter for one of the characters I wanted to skip and go to their next chapter. The two love stories are absolutely amazing. I never wanted this book and their journey to end. I need the third book now

Choppy and at some instances hard to follow. The constant island hopping didn’t help the story.

For example; At one point a character tells the whereabouts of another character and then in the next chapter they have a conversation like this information was never shared with them.

With the warning of a spicier love story than book 1, I was hoping for more. I won’t be continuing the series.

Okay I didn’t enjoy this as much as the first one, I love Georgette and Mannington and I feel like there wasn’t much of them together in this book. I also don’t really like Serena or Edward if I’m honest and I still think their relationship isn’t true or honest but I’m sure that will change.

I loved the war and the magic though and it was a fun read

I enjoyed the book. I really liked the story line and the characters. But it didn't capture me and not like me go. So it took me a while to read it. Schoolwork, kids, life got in the way of finishing it sooner.
I'm looking forward to book 3.

this was,, frustrating to say the least-
and ofc in the end the whole plot centers around motherhood

also- what’s w the purity culture here 🫡

i think it would’ve been better to keep the focus on georgette and stone

I only finished it because I wanted it to be good. I will not be moving forward to the 3rd book. I gave it 2 stars because it had potential. There's no depth. No description of the world around them. It was so bland and the spicy scenes were mediocre.

This second book had point of views from Captain Stone, Georgette, Prince Edward, and Serena. I definitely didn’t like Prince Edward and Serena’s “love story” as much as Captain Stone and Georgette’s. I did cry though when Captain Stone and Georgette parted ways I was scared they weren’t going to make it back to each other. I also cried when Georgette lost the baby I was so hoping this book was going to follow their life together with a baby. I am going to be honest though I didn’t really like Serena, she was mad a Georgette for most of the book because Prince Edward was in love with Georgette first. I mean I get it Prince Edward did say Georgette’s name when him and Serena were having sex, that would make me mad too but she shouldn’t be mad a Georgette for that and take her anger out on her. I know Georgette broke Prince Edward’s heart and Serena was mad at her for that as well but Georgette can’t help who she fell in love with. I still wish this book was more spicier than it was I am hoping maybe this next book in the series will be spicier lol. This book was good though it kept me entertained and engaged and made me want to keep reading to see what happened next. I am excited to see what this next book is about and I really hope they can break this curse and Georgette and Serena can both have children.

Honestly, I DNF. I really enjoyed the first book and was super happy that Captian Stones and Georgette's story was intertwined in this one. About 80% (I know, so close to the end) I just couldn't take it anymore. Serena is just absolutely annoying. She finds a prince, who at first is searching the seas for his lost future wife, and attempts to help him after he saved her life. She finds out long before him that this future wife is already married and a siren and keeps it from him. He then calls on her to help end a war between his kingdom, pirates, and sirens and she takes him to her father (the king of the sea). She then BINDS herself to him WITHOUT TELLING HIM OR ANYTHING because her father tries to kill him. Keep in mind he's STILL distraught at this point over the wife. They then "play along" with the bound thing and decide marriage will help end the war. And yet she has the audacity to REPEATEDLY get upset that he isn't over the first supposed to be wife. Like girl it's been a matter of months!!!! Get over yourself. I personally just couldn't handle the constant jabs she makes and the self victimization simply because a man doesn't love her instantly on sight.

Georgette and Captain Stone's adventures continue in this sequel. However, we also follow the romance between Prince Edward and a mermaid named Serena. With war between humans and sirens leading to many casualties, both must work together to end this rivalry.

--

I'm so glad this book is over and I can finally move on to something else. The number of times I wanted to not finish the book is alarming. I usually keep pushing, but it was painful this time.

This book kept alternating between the four main characters. I felt like absolutely nothing was going on most of the time. It was so uneventful I already don't remember much of what happened in the first half.

Safe to say I will not be continuing the series.

siren Serena and Prince Eric love story. there is a war between the Navy and the sirens and they have a plan to stop it. it involves them getting married. their mission is to convince her father and his parents they are in love. they end up falling for each other. while his ex fiance is off with the pirate and loses her baby they find there is a curse set upon sirens that they cannot have babies. this is all Serena once so she must team up with her twin sister to break the curse. the curse was put on them by their own mother and the only way it can be broke is if the pieces of her love are put back together but they have been scattered everywhere by Poseidon their father.

Bound to a Siren by Athena Rose
I most definitely will be watching out for more books by this author. This story actually can be read as a standalone as it bring references to the first part of the story with Prince Edward and his suppose first love. But the important part is his new bound with Serena that captivates you and how their relationship comes to be and for the good of both of their worlds. So vividly describes the details, I found myself into their world, picturing the description that the author made of Atlantis. Amazing work.

The sirens are targeted by the King of England. Is it possible to protect them from slaughter? That is the goal of Princess Sirena, Edward, Georgette & Captain Stone. We meet a new god in this book also. There is tragedy but also a uniting of 2 couples. I agree with the blurb that this is an epic journey of adventure, danger, romance, and ultimately, a heartwarming ending with some big surprises. I am anxious to read the last one to learn how it all wraps up. I received a copy from the author. I choose to leave this review.

So I read the first one and it was good, I enjoyed it, and started this one and it was just not the same, I had a hard time getting through it. I feel like there were a lot of filler scenes, just so many on those unanswered questions ''but don't worry, if you read the last one you'll get all the answers you need!'' That just makes it a meh.
I'm not gonna read the last one. Honestly I tried finding a summary of this book when I was like halfway through. (I didn't find one, so I finished it.)

I enjoyed the continued adventure of Prince Edward and Serena in this audiobook. Samuel James did an amazing job at doing the different voices. I don't like single-style narration but he made the book enjoyable and easy to follow! We also get more of Captain Stone and Georgette's story was great! We get introduced to so many new characters, that I was afraid it would take away from the stories but it didn't! I can't wait to listen to Sworn to a Demigod to hear what Samuel James has in store for Hercules voice!

I loved book 2 even more than the 1st one, which I didn’t even know was possible!

There was multiple POV’s. It followed 4 people, the same 3 from the 1st book, Captain Stone, Georgette, Prince Edward, and adding the wonderful Serena in to the mix.

Serena is my favorite character! She is so fiery and passionate!

Again the author creates these characters that the readers can’t help but root for them despite their morally grey actions!

Has many tropes that readers will love! It has touch her and 💀. Grovel, fake marriage, and so many more tropes that will leave the reader addicted!!

I love how the story of Stone and Georgette continued. I really felt their loss...Stone is by far my favorite character in the story. Edward was so amazing for Serena, but she is growing on me more and more. I just love all the lore that is put into the book, even adding famous people like Michaelangelo. It was very well written, and I am excited to see where things go with Ava and Hercules. I enjoy the love scenes as they are not overly descriptive and over the top where I feel uncomfortable. I'm excited to read "Sworn to a Demigod".

There is a lot of action in this book. So much is going on. I loved it. Not a dull moment in the characters' lives. Terror of losing life, an unknown future for them all, a threat like no other, and pirates who have gone rogue to destroy everything they can. Bound to a Siren definitely continued on the story from Married to a Pirate, which I so badly wanted to see how it was going to continue on. I really enjoyed this book, and I will be reading the next one.

I’m really enjoying this series. There’s so many twists and surprises, it keeps me on the edge of my seat and engaged. I have this love/hate relationship with each MMC but I adore the FMCs in the series so far. Who doesn’t love a strong willed woman they will do whatever it takes to succeed?! I loved the Hercules movie growing up so I’m really excited for the next book and I was hooked from reading the epilogue leading to the next one.

A great second book, to the series.
You can read as a stand-alone but I recommend you read the first book for the whole experience.
Prince Edward lost his first love to the pirate, but has found that Serena fulfils him so much better.
Again lots of action, adventure and romance.
Looking forward to the final book.

I received a free copy and this is my honest review.
