HAWK She literally stormed into my life, running into our MC compound one evening, her eyes silently begging for help. Even though we don’t know who she is, the Triple Kings MC protect women who need it; that’s just how we roll. In order to protect her, and my club from possible blow-back, we need to know what her story is. What is revealed has my blood boiling and the need to put down the threat is front and center. What was not expected was my feelings for this spirited sprite, nor the betrayal that came from within.
TORI An overheard conversation had me running for my life, unwittingly seeking refuge at the Triple Kings MC compound. Their President, Hawk, and his club brothers offered me protection until the danger was resolved, which I cautiously accepted. The feelings developed for Hawk were unexpected, given my history with men, but feelings I was willing to explore. Then all too soon, my worst nightmare catches up to me, snatching away what snippets of happiness I had experienced.
The content is for mature readers 18+ Please do not read if sexual situations, violence, and explicit language offends you. Standalone novel, no cliff-hanger, HEA.
Wow. That was brutal. Be warned a lot of violence at times. I was seriously cringing.
Tori is regularly beaten by her stepbrother and his second in command, Gabe. When she finds out that she has an arranged marriage to an evil drug cartel leader, she manages to escape. Tori unknown to her runs into the Triple Kings Mc clubhouse. They agree to hide her, but she has to agree to be someones old lady. Gram, Hawks vice president is nominated but he doesn’t respect her. So she’s allowed to stay and be the clubs secretary. Her stepbrother is still after her, and someone in the Mc betrays her. Putting her back in danger.
I really did love this book but…. I really didn’t feel any great romance between them, especially from Hawk. She gets really close to all the brothers, but Hawk doesn’t show her any interest at all. It’s only when the danger escalates that all of a sudden he claims he wants her. Out of the blue. Sex scenes are terrible. She’s quite innocent and there’s no foreplay!!!
One other thing that this author does in every book. When someone is speaking, there’s no speech marks at the end. Never, not once. It drove me crazy. I’ll still read the next one though. As I did really enjoy this book. Just be warned that there’s a lot of violence.
I didn't like the way the book was written. The time lines jumped by days and weeks, the plot and side lines were far fetched and everyone was either black or white in their behaviour. I especially didn't like Tori's character which seemed at cross purposes with itself. For someone supposedly terrified and continually abused in the past and more so in the present, she surely had a dictatorial attitude and foul mouth with the women in the club. She swept in and virtually took over and tattle taled from the word go and had the club members fawning around her. Also, there was no indication that Hawk was in the least interested in her, even offering her to his VP, then wham! he decided she was his, without any build up at all.
Too many characters introduced and too much going on, so it felt messy while reading it. The author seemed to have a fetish about food in the club house as it was continually mentioned throughout the story, as was the theme of Tori chastising the women in the club.
This is a great start with this new MC. You will endure drama, violence, brotherhood, heartache, but most importantly love. Tori ran into the Triple Kings MC clubhouse to get away from her stepbrother, Oliver who was going to sell her for marriage, so he could steal her inheritance. Hawk and his club are bounty hunters by trade and prepared to rescue Tori, when she was kidnapped. There are quite a few twist and turns throughout, but without giving away any spoilers, this is a MUST READ and PAGE TURNER and keeps you on the edge of your seat for more. You will enjoy it as much as I did. Happy reading.
I think I'm in love!!! Just not sure with who! Can it be all the brothers?
I loved this book, the characters and everything else about it!
Hawk and Tori make an awesome couple and I loved their characters, relationship and dialogue. It was also nice to have a female character portrayed as strong, smart and such a survivor with all that she endures . It's nice the sass she has and it's appreciated instead of making her a doormat with the MC.
I can't wait for book 2
This is absolutely my favourite book of J.E. Daelman!
A note for anyone who has concerns as this billed as darker than Daelman's other works. There is violence but another is off side and the waterboarding scenes are handled delicately and are not long, or incredibly descriptive so it does not stand out as anymore violent then other violence in the book.
January 12, 2024 - had to reread before starting book 2. Just as good the second time around!
Hi, this is an interesting novel with some triggers just saying may not be for the soft hearted. I personally enjoy reading this as l put it into perspective as to how this could actually happen. I loved reading about all the characters in this novel although to be honest l truly loved reading about the main couple and how their relationship evolved into this exciting new world for both of them, looking forward to catching up with them in the future maybe. As for what l didn’t like l am sorry but really cannot say as it would give away to many spoilers. I would recommend this novel to my close friends and family as we know each other’s likes and dislike. In saying this l really enjoyed reading this novel and in my opinion I think it’s absolutely an amazing novel and brilliantly written, thank you so very much J.E. Daelman. Looking forward to reading this whole series. Blessings Sunta Kelly ☺️🌹
Too disjointed to me and honestly should have ended sooner. The H and h took too long and I felt there was no chemistry nothing. Just boring. Stopped reading at 56% and scanned and skimmed for another 20% just couldn’t finish. 1 1/2 stars really only my opinion.
This was an amazing story; I've read it a dozen times. Different from the two other series this author writes but in my opinion the best yet. Can't give the plot away but you will fall in love with all the "good" characters and hate all the "bad" characters. It has a great HEA! If I could give it a 10 Star I would!
This is a new author for me, I saw the reviews and thought I'd give it a try. This has a good story line but its very poorly written. A lot of the sentences don't really make sense or contains a lot of repeated words. I found this very hard to read.
Recap: Tori is a strong woman for what she goes through in this book. After her mother and step father’s death, which we find out was by her step brother Oliver for inheritance, he abuses her for years. The men after happy to hide her shelter but she makes it clear she is not a jezabel or pretending be someone’s chic when they are a ho themselves (Gram). Tori starts to help in the office filing and stuff, and a few of the Jesse’s try messing with her but Hawk and the guys usually come in at the right time but she is also told not to start drama but not back down, so she does just that. Her brother might have hurt her but she learned some defense esp to dumb b who she wouldn’t allow to hurt her. They find some jezebels are spies for her brother who is trying to find her and when they think things are okay Trap, a prospect, kidnaps her and takes her to her brother Oliver. This one really opened with a bang! I don't know that I would have been as smart as Tori to blend in, in the same situation as she did. Especially not knowing if she was moving from the frying pan into the fire. Happily, she ended up in a good place, one where she found people that could protect her and help her get safe once and for all.
It wasn't smooth sailing because boy...did Tori have reservations and strong opinions and let them be known. The thing is, she did this while being respectful, just pointing out the truth. It was fun to see how this won over all the brothers. Better was that by those actions when things ramped up again, all of them wanted to help her in any way they could and they didn't do this just once, but a few times. The also backed her up as she started to become herself around the clubhouse with the jezebels.
The romance with Hawk was interesting, mostly because it moved slow and Hawk stated his intentions before he made a move. Both weren't done instantly, but after Tori had been around a while.
Loved how this one ended, seeing Tori free to be happy and finding her place with Hawk and the guys.
As with her other series of books Jan takes you into the heart and mind of her characters. Hawk is the national President of The Triple Kings mc as such he has a lot to deal with and the added complication of a woman in distress barging in to the clubhouse isn’t what he needs to be dealing with, but they won’t turn their backs on an innocent who needs help either. In order to protect her they need all the details she can give them and when she does the entire brotherhood is in uproar. Tori overhears a conversation between her stepbrother and another man and what she hears terrifies her. Knowing she has no time to loose she manages to escape the house she’s been kept prisoner in and runs for her life. The only building she gets to just happens to be the clubhouse of an mc. Will they help her or will they hand her back to hell? All she knows is she won’t go back quietly but when the mc promise to help her neither they or her see until to late that betrayal comes from within. Can she survive until they find her or is it going to be too late?
What an amazing first book of this new series. If this book is any indication, this will be the best series yet from this author!
Tori escapes from her stepbrother and accidentally stumbles into the Triple Kings MC compound. They help hide her but due to a surprise they never saw coming, her stepbrother kidnaps her in order to get her inheritance and to sell her to a cartel boss to be married.
Hawk realizes right before Tori is kidnapped that he wants to make her his old lady. He and his blood and club brothers work to get Tori back and avenge all of the terrible things that were done to her growing up.
Lots of twists and turns but of course everything works out in the end.
I so can’t wait for the next books in this series!
Tori is on the run from her stepbrother Oliver's marriage plan's, she finds safety at the Three Kings MC. Where she finaly starts to feel at peace with life, even if it is with a bunch of bikers and there antics, they become protective of her. Tori proved her worth within the club and caught the eye of their pres Hawk even more so. But Oliver won't let his plans be derailed, when Tori goes missing the club rallys for one of their own. Well written this is a great start to a new series. The characters draw you in with loveable funny moments, but also the darker side tugs at your emotions. The story is paced well and keeps your attention through out. With action, drama, classic Daelman funny moments and more!
What can I say? Jan Daelman, you wrote an amazing story. Tori and Hawk were a wonderful couple and there seemed to be a genuine respect there. The story pulled me in on the first page, and it was amazing watching everything unfold. The secondary characters were interesting, and you couldn't help but be intrigued by them. You write stories with substance. No cursing just to fill in the blanks, which is abhorrent. Yours are stories I can recommend with ease. Tori and Hawk were the epitome of a great power couple. As always, cannot wait for the next book. Thank you for such an entertaining story. Please be warned, for those that need to know, there is violence and threats of violence. There is laughter and tears, also. Worth the read.
Hawk the National President of the Triple Kings MC and man was in for a shock when Tori came running into his club house. She was running from her brothers goon. As soon as she walks in the door you feel brought into the space you can see it playing out. While they agree give protection to Tori they do not have the easiest road to an happy ever after. You are pulled in to the Triple Kings world. You can help but form attachments as we meet the others in the club. I laughed with them and yelled at them and even cried with them. This book was original and was very well written. I couldn’t put it down. I can’t wait to see what’s next. I highly recommend this book.
IN TYPICAL JAN FASHION THIS IS A GREAT START TO A NEW SERIES!
HAWK'S WORLD IS TURNED UPSIDE DOWN WHEN TORY BURSTS THROUGH HIS CLUBHOUSE DOORS, RUNNING FROM HER BROTHER WHO IS ARRANGING A MARRIAGE FOR HER TO A EVIL MAN AND PLANNING ON THEN STEALING HER TRUST FUND. FROM THE START YOU ARE DRAWN RIGHT INTO THIS MC FAMILY. WITH OUT A SINGLE QUESTION THEY SEE TORI IS IN NEED AND HIDE HER FROM HER BROTHER. NOT TO GIVE ANYTHING AWAY BUT WHEN TORI IS KIDNAPPED HAWK AND HIS MEN SET OUT TO FIND HER AND GET VENGEANCE FOR HER. ALONG THE WAY COMES A BEAUTIFUL LOVE BETWEEN HAWK AND TORI AS HE REALIZES SHE IS HIS ONE!
Who doesn't love a new MC series, ecspecially when it's one from Jan Daelman. The h, Tori is introduced to us and Hawk by just running through the front door of their clubhouse. Who doesn't like a book that starts out that way? From the beginning you are drawn to who Tori is running from and how Hawk and his brothers are going to help her fix it. You are introduced to many of the MC brothers, which hopefully will get their own books. They make you laugh and some you just want to slap.
This book has everything, angst, twists, turns, a HEA, and of course leaving you wanting more. If your wondering if you should take the leap and snag this as your next read...the answer is YES!
MC story about Hawk and Tori. She is being held captive by her stepbrother so that he can get her trust/inheritance. He sells her in marriage to a really bad guy. Before he can do any of that, she escapes to Hawk’s clubhouse. Hawk tries to give her to another brother Gram but Gram is a man-ho who sleeps with many club whores. So, eventually Hawk does claim her. Lots of club whore drama- a few of them betray the MC by giving info to the stepbrother and a prospect actually takes her from the clubhouse to the stepbrother who abuses and starves her. She is eventually rescued and she and Hawk have a HEA.

Hawk the president of the Triple Kings MC was in for a shock when Tori came running into his club house running from her brothers goon who was wanting to marry her off. As soon as she walks in the door you feel the chemistry between them. The road to happily ever after is not easy for them but with the club behind them anything is possible. You can’t help but form attachments with the others in the club. I laughed with them and yelled at them and even cried with them. This book was original and I am hoping there will be more in this series for the other club members.
This book is hard for me to rate because I loved the story but not so much the writing. The storyline hooked me in from almost the beginning. I loved all of the characters especially Mammoth and Detroit. I didn’t want to stop reading but the writing style was a bit difficult for me. This is an MC set in the US but by the wording the author uses it sounds like they’re in the UK or possibly AUS. A bit confusing for the reader and frankly a bit annoying. I would have dnf if I didn’t love the story.
For the most part it was an enjoyable read. It ended perfectly, imo.
Hawk & Tori's story is full of twists and turns, it got me hooked from page 1. Triple Kings MC is not a 1% club, but they are not afraid to get their hands dirty when needed. It is rare you meet a heroine like Tori, she came across sweet and dedicated, she was not a victim she was a survivor that never allowed the people tormenting her to win. If you don't enjoy graphic violence and detailed torture mixed with angst, MC family, slow burning attraction then this book might not be for you.
This starts in a dramatic fashion with Titi bursting into the clubhouse and getting the help she needs. The first night it ends with her being a pseudo old lady to Gram to keep her safe. We then go on a roller coaster ride as the story unfolds and I really enjoyed the twists and turns the author takes us on. The characters are entertaining and are written with flair and depth. There are some parts that are difficult to read due to adult content but it ends in an HEA
This is a fantastic book. It totally had all my attention from first page to the very last. It was difficult to let these characters go. I hope book 2 isn’t too far away. I know we readers want it all all the time but these characters are the exception not the norm. I look forward to reading about them again. This is filled with action, kidnapping, horrid stepbrothers, really good bikers and a new best girlfriend. Highly recommend this story-book. From the bottom of my heart, thanks for giving us this wonderful story.
I really enjoyed this book, however there are trigger warnings kidnap, physical abuse, torture, murder and threatening rape so be warned. If that doesn’t put you off you will enjoy this book, it has a good storyline that keeps you interested. I love Tori & Hawk they are a great couple and I liked they had a slow burn not straight in to a relationship. My only gripe is I wanted Tori to have it out with Oliver and showing her strength while he couldn’t hurt her, other than that I had read this book within 24hrs I couldn’t put it down.
Ms Daelman started this book with a bang. Explosive from page one right to the end. Tori is a woman who is a survivor . Here life has been nothing but torture . Runni g away from her brother and running into The Triple Kings MC Hawke and his brothers fall in love. What really touched me about this story was how strong the author made Tori, how her and Hawke love story developed. Can't wait for next one.
This is the first book in a new series called Triple Kings MC. It's a fast-paced and standalone book that will keep you engaged from start to finish. This series gives us an introduction to the Triple Kings. In this book, we get to meet the National President of the Triple Kings in Utah (H) and this club are bounty hunters by trade. The h is running from her step brother who wants to sell her in order to have her inheritance. Read to find out what happens.
This is an amazing start to a new series. Love every bit of it. The men of this MC are possessive and proud of it. Tori runs into the right place for sure when her crazy stepbrother and his evil cohorts chase her. One MC member lost put but Tori knew in her heart she didn’t belong with him. The Prez is the one her heart belongs to. Strong women are what these men need and I can’t wait to see who falls in love next.
When Tori discovers that her brother has arranged a marriage to the cartel for her and is after her inheritance she makes a bid for freedom. She escapes through a door, straight into the Triple Kings MC clubhouse. The MC hide her and agree to protect her.
A betrayal leads to her being taken again by her brother. Hawk and his MC have to find her. A great start to a new series, lots of twist, turns, danger and betrayal.
