I knew I was basically his booty call, but I would take anything from the sexy alien soldier I could get.
Watching Sarah get the sexy Tal she wanted was hard because mine seemed happy to keep me as his dirty little secret. His commitment issues ended up being the least of my problems when several of the girls and I onboard the warship contracted a deadly alien infection. We were held in quarantine while we fell in and out of consciousness. During that time, the rest of the crew scrambled to find a way to save us.
Lukels was strong, sexy, and everything I had looked for in a human male but could never find. But would he fight for me?
My Fighter Alien features Maria and is the second in the Tal Warship Romances series. Each of these Sci-fi romance books features a different woman and her sexy alien soldier with a guaranteed HEA.
3.5 // Enjoyable, low angst alien romance. The FMC contracts an alien pathogen and it’s a race to get her healed in time. I liked a deadly pathogen being the antagonist and how it forced the MMC to confront his feelings for the FMC. It got a little slow when the aliens got bogged down concerning themselves with the human custom of gifts for those who were sick but the dialogue between the Tal was cute. It was fun to get a peek into some of the other character’s personalities and wonder whose story will be told next. I thought the steamy scenes were better in book 1 as the banter leading up was great whereas in this one it felt a little stale. But I still liked it!
This book wasn't as good as the first one honestly. It didn't feel like there was much of a climax to the story. Most of the time H and h were not even together and the majority of it was told via vague flashbacks while Maria is sick. We weren't given a full idea of what this sickness was or what was done to cure it. And also we weren't told how exactly the Tal brought Wirge's to the Spal planet. Its not necessary to the story, but it's information that would have helped understand some of the story better. The characters loved each other, obviously but there just wasn't a lot of passion between them. The spicy scenes were kinda lukewarm as a result. There were parts of the story where the author put their all into creating this story and universe. For example, when the guys are reviewing the new weapons and going over their specs. It was very specific about the weaponry and how they were advantageous in certain scenarios vs others. I wish that same level of detail had been applied to the relationship between Maria and Lukel. I enjoy this series and the premise of it. That's why I gave the book a 2 star instead of 1. I'm going to keep reading the series, the next one sounds a lot better from the description.

A quick addition to this series of human women adapting to their new lives on an alien warship. As a direct continuation of the first book, this story focuses on a new set of characters as they face the challenges of different-species attraction and what that means for their budding relationship.
This book was a lot more filler and fluff than the first—even with a deadly virus separating the couple for most of the book—though the different POVs did a good job of keeping readers entertained. I did find them repetitive a lot of the time, but because of the fast pace, the book was still enjoyable and fun to read.
All in all, if you’re looking for a quick alien instalove series with minimal complications and tons of fluff, give these books a try.
This is book two and it’s the troupe alien male to a human female. The story is good, easy to read, and low angst. There are two main species and this is a time where there is friendliness with humans. This is nice for a change of pace. This book has Lucals a warrior who is concerned about having developing feelings for a beautiful human Maria. The supporting characters are good and add depth to the storyline. Read On!
This book is an excellent opportunity to discuss the possibilities of how aliens might react and view humans. Of course I mean women and how they might react to their fragility and strength. Maria and Lukel are a secret couple until Lukel inadvertently caused Maria to be very sick.
Maria and Lukel are in a secret relationship, sort of. Then Maria gets sick and then others get sick also. That was a game changer not just for Maria and Lukel but for many of the Tal. Enjoy
mostly i enjoyed the warrior on mission banter between the guys. the mmc romance limped along but it wasn't very exciting or dramatic or romantic. had some snort laughs at the male dialogue and going on to read the next book.
I'm writing a review for Fighter Alien because I laughed out loud multiple times (in a good way), nobody died (except some giant ET bug things), and the Tal reviewed a flame thrower. Seriously, what is more romantic than flame throwers?
