Lethal Vengeance

Rate this book
Vengeance is the name your soul screams when it shatters. It’s a call into the darkness, a promise to Death himself, to abandon the light until death is served to those who wronged you.

Three years ago, they took the only person who mattered and dumped her like trash in the desert. Justice failed Quinn. Vengeance would not.

Two enemies. One down, one to go. But the only way to get to him is to live in the shadows, abandoning right for wrong.

After a year, she’s close to gaining her enemy’s trust. One more job and he’ll reward her with a position in his organization. Unfortunately, it’s not a task for one person.

Quinn hires the Santos Foundation to rescue two girls. Run by an ex-military leader named Zane, the group arrives in Mexico, suspicious of her and her motives, but they agree to the job.

Working with Zane, Cruz, Sterling, and Raider impact Quinn in ways she didn’t expect, bringing back memories of the past and the person she used to be. Falling into their kisses is as easy as breathing, but she refuses to let temptation derail her from the path she’s chosen.

This is a why choose, contemporary reverse harem, FMMM relationship. 18+ years of age due to mature content.

BASIC FACTS:
Title/Series: Lethal Vengeance Spinn off of The Savages
Pages: 386
My rating:⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Trope: Why Choose, Slow burn, Vengeance for a murdered sister, crime
Protagonist Ages: 30+ to 43
Pacing: relationship: slow burn, plot: medium to fast
Plot Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I finally picked up Lethal Vengeance. I bought it a long time ago, but didn’t read it. I never wanted to leave the Universe Stella created with The Savages Series. And by reading Lethal Vengeance I would leave it. “Missing scenes” first: I missed an Epilogue Scene, where Henley and Quinn become BFF. But that’s because I can’t get enough of Henley and could see the women be BFF.

I loved that Henley and her guys did have a short Cameo. It was nice. I do understand, that this book had to be about Quinn, Zane, Sterling, Raider and Cruz. And because the guys were side characters in the Savages Series I love to see their HEA.

The story is completely different from The Savages Series. One confusing thing for me as a non north American it was sometimes not so easy to pick up if they are in the US or in Mexico in general. For instance, Austin is mentioned and I know that’s in Texas. Monterey for me was in California. But there is one in Mexico too.

The story was a little dark. I liked that the relationship was a slow burn and the plot was moving at a fast pace and never forgotten. I enjoyed it very much.

Characters and Summery: spoilers ahead!!!

This is my first book by this author though I've been wanting to read the others. This released yesterday and is a standalone. RH, badass strong FMC, 4 hot men, different characteristics, plot development, character and relationship development. I had to read it at once. The trauma Quinn has been through is horrible but she got revenge. I loved how the plot developed and the men came into her life. Revealing about themselves, sharing the past, connecting, it was amazing to read. I didn't expect Gabriel but the way it ended up was perfect. Cruz, Raider, Sterling and Zane all different but perfect for Quinn in their own way. I love them all together. I'm intrigued by Henley in this book so I'm definitely going to read her series.

Man, I hate to do this to one of my favorite authors, but I didn't love this book. It was good and I enjoyed it, but not when compared to her other series.
One issue I had was that the main story arc finished at 80% with the last 20% spent on mental health, relationship building, and a tiny amount of wrap-up.
I also felt like there was too much insta love.
You know, as I'm writing this, I'm realizing this book felt more like a novella. It wasn't shorter than her other books, but was not a continuing series, and so it really sped into the relationships.

The writing was still on the level and all in all was not a bad way to waste, I mean, spend my time. I just don't see myself rereading, therefore I can't give it anything above a 3 star rating.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

Reverse Harem ✔
Badass FMC ✔
4 Alpha Men ✔
Great Plot ✔

This my first time reading a book from Stella and I was not disappointed. I love Quinn and how much of a great character she is and she how she doesn't play by anyone's rules just to get revenge for her sister. Especially what she does to the twins. OH MY GOSH!!

The men she gets to help with her "assignment" are some badass alphas. Two of them even have accents. I have to say Rainer might be my favorite with his French accent and bad boy killer vibes.

The whole book is great and kept me entertained. I would suggest reading it.

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Dark and Delicious

I'm not going to lie, I skimmed parts. Mostly the scenes that included torture. There are some things I personally don't want to read in detail. I do feel these scenes are important to the story line. Just not for me. I've read darker books, and this one overall fell on the right side of immersive entertainment. I was in the mood for a kick a$$ take charge FML, romance, sexy times, and a great story. This book hit the mark.

Heroine Quinn has only one thing on her mind and if the books title doesn't give it away, she wants vengeance. After her younger sister is killed Quinn works her way into the very cartel behind her death. Slowly the darkness in her is taking over and she's not the goodie two shoes she once was. Quinn's next task requires help and that's where her future harem come in. Together the group will rescue a ton of young girls being trafficked and take down the kingpin while they're at it. Though of course the road they travel is not easy and boy is it bloody. Basically if you have TW or an issue with characters on the dark side, this read will not be for you. For me though Quinn is exactly the type of heroine I love, she's an independent badass who knows when she's out of her realm and needs a hand. Luckily the guys are willing to give her more than a hand if you catch my drift. The romance is fairly slow burn as she gets to know them and vice versa. I really enjoyed this book and all the characters. It had it's moments of grief and pain but also destruction, action and well some deserved vengeance.

"Vengeance is the name your soul screams when it shatters. It's a call into the darkness, a promise to Death himself, to abandon the light until death is served to those who wronged you."

First off, this book blurb sucked me in, and I needed to know how this book was going to go. It sounded amazing. When I started reading it, quickly I knew the story line was on point and I wanted to know what happened next.

Unfortunately, the entire book was missing something for me. I thought it was anticlimactic and the steam was not steamy at all.

Quinn is our girl; lost in a storm of sadness and sorrow she wants just one thing in this life and that's to get vengeance for her sister. Having to work for the man himself who killed her, she goes undercover in a world of trafficking and killing - with hopes to just get closer and closer until she can make the final blow to Armando Morales.

"Today's price is steep, but vengeance is a demanding bastard. Payment must be paid. A chunk of my soul withers and dies."

When he finally takes her seriously, she is set up with a task to fix a mistake of his and "rescue" two girls his own men "took by accident." She quickly set up a team of professionals to help her on this mission. When she meets Zane, Cruz, Raider and Sterling, something from each of them call to her in a way she hasn't experienced in some time.

On this mission, she wants more than anything for her sister to lay to rest peacefully. She never realized that there would be an entirely different situation in the end that would make her second guess everything. When the job is done, anticlimactically, she drowns in what could be and could have been with her sister. Never knowing now what really, truly happened.

Will she be able to save the other girls when she couldn't save her sister? Will the guys be able to pull her from the darkness when she's in too deep? What will happen when she realizes she isn't alone anymore?

"...the darkness inside makes you strong, not weak."

I enjoyed the storyline a lot, but the book just fell flat for me. I was hoping for a lot more. I will definitely be giving this author another chance because I liked the writing style. Who knows, maybe if given the chance to make this book into a series, where the author could have written more detail, things would be different. I wanted more steam and the two situations Quinn faced off in to be much more....

*Overall 3/5
*Heat? 2/5
*Multiple first person POV
*MFMMM Romance (No MM) Harem built slow, and we are only encountered with MF instances.
*Ends in HEA

Chk tws &cws this is dark actioned packd romance.

This Author. is a instabuy for me! This Author I get twitchy for release day! Im reader thats very fussy with my "why choose" reads? Yes Storyline over smut first - when we build up from the sensual to steam to spice, it better be overpowered! High pressure, high octane world! But dont worry its not erotically hardcore that you cant engage nor approach.

I dont need all the answers I need things ambiguous -of a great suspenseful & mysterious novel. I need be not only on the journey of FMC failures and successes but follow that ticking heart time bomb!

Made FMC (forget about Made men trope you need to know Stella's Made females)

Stella had the hooks, a Morally Gray FMC with her own counsel and might. Quinn is Dark romance FMC with capacity to k!ll - make no mistake this is dark romance whychoose read. Orchestrating an operation to bring home someone she loves. Utilising operatives that will mean more than their deployed arsenal. The MMcs need to capture my attention before I believe their more than enough to handle our Quinn But so far Cruz, Sterling,Raider and Zane all different in their push&pull towards Quinn So the believability that they want/longing for each other in the way that pushes and pull that slowburn sexual force! Doesnt downgrade the action and dangerous activity was handled.

me i like a little knifeplay so im hot for the brusque Raider.

yes thats why I read a Stella Brie novel!
ps.Stella nice inclusions including little G man..... interesting contrast there - & Henley Her guys revist was perfect too.

Cruz, Raider, Zane, and Sterling finally get their HEA. I have been waiting for this book since meeting them in Savage Traitor. These four guys have all the skills, the BDE, the swagger and the charm any girl could ask for. Watching them try and convince their girl to become part of the team and work with them was a lot of fun. Quinn really made them work for it. Quinn is on a quest to avenge her sister and she’s not about to be derailed by a handsome face, no matter how much they understand her and the broken pieces of her soul. I really enjoyed learning more about the guys after the glimpse we had of them in Henley’s book. Having Henley, Thiago, Grayson and Mateo make cameos is a lot of fun.

Lethal Vengeance has everything you want in a book. Smokin’ hot guys, a badass fmc who leads them on a merry chase, and a well written, suspenseful plot that keeps you guessing. One of the best things is that the story doesn’t end with Quinn’s vengeance. Stella brings us along for the aftermath, and answers the question of what happens after someone achieves this kind of goal, how do they re-join the “normal” world again. Plus, these four have an intense connection that gives us some seriously hot spice.

I really enjoyed Lethal Vengeance, and it was a great stand alone spin-off to Stella’s Savage series. It’s not necessary to have read Henley’s duet to read and enjoy Lethal Vengeance, but I highly recommend doing so, both because the books are amazing, and for the introduction to the guys. Lethal Vengeance is a fabulous read if you love fast past adventure/thrillers with some serious spice and a great group of characters.

Infinite + + + + + + and an infinite more stars
I absolutely loved Quinn, she really was a queen. I was curious to read about Cruz and the guy with the cold eyes of the killer aka Raider when I read about Zane's team in the Savage series and damn the author delivered a masterpiece. The only thing bad about this book was that it ended too soon 😭😭
The author could have really made a series out of these characters since I am still reluctant to bid adieu to Quinn,Cruz,Raider, Sterling and Zane.

Quinn was a powerhouse with the right amount of vulnerability that she only showed to her men. I absolutely loved the four men, from Zane's protective daddy vibes😏 to Cruz's stealth and goofiness to Raider's cold deadly nature on one side and the big teddy vibes on th other to Sterling's brain , humour and ability to turn from the silly antics guy to a formidable member for his equally formidable team I absolutely freaking loved everything.

Armando's last few words made me shiver and honestly even though I absolutely loathed the guy I must say, he was different from the typical villains I have read about with his ability to not beg for mercy and showing his cheekiness. The mouthing off even after the elimination of one of his important appendage made me impressed with how wonderfully unique the author ensured her story would be.

Quinn and her men became one of my top most favourite rh groups.
I am really interested to read about the other powerhouse Margot and would really love to see Paulo too.

Gonna read it an infinite times more in the near future.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍😍😍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I am taking a slight break from my usual paranormal genre and since my heart was craving a bit of a crime rush, I was looking for an intriguing standalone. When I stumped upon Stella Brie, an unknown author to me, the blurb immediately caught my attention. Lethal Vengeance is a gripping story with proper crime vibes and some rather fascinating plotting, surveillance and action.

Quinn has dedicated her heart and soul to seeking justice for her precious sister. The intensity of her emotions and the ultimate sacrifices she has made in her quest for vengeance definitely struck a chord with me. I loved the character that Brie has created and the vivid portrayal of the main protagonist's inner struggles. The MMCs just add to the fascinating story. All four of them bring something different to the table, hence the FMCs' attraction to each one of them.
I liked the fact that there was no beating around the bush here, Quinn knew what she wanted and she went for it, in regards to her ultimate goals as well as in relation to the men of interest. That does not mean that there was no drama or internal struggle, but that was more to do with the immense grief and darkness that the main protagonist has lived with for quite some time.

The book is a an utter rush and the prevailing vengeance plans that were set in motion kept me on my toes. Loved the different elements that the author threw in the story and for anyone, who likes their crime with a pinch of spice, this book might be of interest.

I Needed This In My Life

Ok. So I many bounce around a little but bear with me! I absolutely loved this book for so many reasons.

📌 The FMC, Quinn, is a total badass. She can stand her ground. She’s been through so much and she’s on a mission for vengeance. Hence the name of the book. But she also has so many insecurities. She’s relatable. Even as strong as she is, you see her cracks as well.

📌 The FMC doesn’t just fall head over heels and change everything about herself for the guys. She holds strong and she builds up to letting them in.

📌 While this was said to be an RH, and essentially it is, each relationship with the guys is very personal and intimate (other than just physical). You see the growth and the bonding with each one.

📌 The MMCs are super hot and damaged in their own way. Each one has a story and it’s developed beautifully.

I can’t really say too much more without starting to insert spoilers, and I don’t want to do that. Hands down, this book was phenomenal. I absolutely loved it so much. There are so many moving parts and pieces to this story and it comes together nicely in the end.

Highly recommend.

"Vengeance is the name your soul screams when it shatters."

Lethal Vengeance is the first book I have read by Stella Brie and it won't be the last.

You have heard the term morally grey. In this book it is the FMC who is the badass morally grey character.

Some of the things Quinn does to get vengeance for her sister Sophia!!!!

At her back helping her get her vengeance are the 4 guys from the Santos Foundation, who she hires to help her rescue two girls from a sex trafficking facility.

I don't know who I prefer out of Zane, Cruz, Sterling & Raider as I kept changing my mind.

There are side characters who are in Lethal Vengeance from the Savages series, which I have not read yet, but not knowing their backstory doesn't detract anything from this book.

I'm looking forward to what Stella does next as from Lethal Vengeance there appears to be the possibility of another reverse harem group.

I was lucky to receive an ARC copy of Lethal Vengeance from the author.

Dark, suspenseful and emotionally intense

After reading and loving The Savages series I was super intrigued by Cruz, Sterling, Zane and Raider. These men were so involved in Henley’s rescue and catching those bringing danger to her and the Santos men I was excited to read about them while conducting another rescue.

This storyline was incredible, the emotional intensity of what Quinn experienced and her determination to see her sister’s murder avenged was breathtaking. The planning and execution of their rescue of the women was suspenseful and complicated. All in all this is a storyline that grabs your attention and keeps you guessing what’s going to happen next only to surprise you with unexpected plot points.

I loved it and am hoping for many more books from this author!

Another great book from Stella

This is another great book from Stella, dealing with difficult subjects, trafficking and torture.
Quinn is a one woman team seeking vengeance for her sister, she’s so close but needs help. She knows who killed her and is working towards gaining his trust so she can finally kill him.The way her relationships develops with all the guys isn’t without its problems with suspicions on both sides. She finds their common overall goals helping rescuing trafficking victims brings them all closer, the guys also have hidden darkness like her too. The way her guilt for her actions reflect on her and what she’s going to tell her nephew Gabriel make this story resonate
Glad we get to meet Henley and her guys again from a previous book, always like that.

Love Quinn!

I absolutely love Stella Brie’s books, and that her FMC’s have me craving to add to my knife collection. I also love that we are getting more from the side characters of Savage Duet. This book is a slow burn thriller and I loved it! Quinn pulls at my heartstrings. She has had to harden herself and weaponize her pain. Where most would break, she embraced the pain and now vengeance fuels her. Zane, Cruz, Raider, and Sterling are all just a bit older and hot! Mercenaries for hire but with strong ethics and moral compasses I wish more people had. They’ve never found someone to complete them until Quinn. This is a slow burn tension filled story, but when it does heat up, you don’t want to miss it.

I'm so happy that these guys got their HEA since they were such great secondary characters in the Savage series. This is a standalone which takes place in the same world as the Savage series with special guest appearances by certain characters from those books. The MMCs were distinct and I enjoyed learning their background. Quinn, the female protagonist was such a driven character and I kept rooting for her throughout the book. She was different from Henley but shared the same independence and willingness to see things through to the end. The book was aptly named and had everything-great plot, action, romance, steamy scenes, good pacing. Highly recommended for fans of the Savage series.

Two words, HOLY COW!! This book was just *chefs kiss*. This is my first book I’ve read from Stella, and it definitely won’t b me my last. Who doesn’t love a why choose romance AND THE FMC IS THE MORALLY GREY ONE!!! Strong, independent, suspicious, just phenomenal. The men, are amazing as well, and also JP! They are just amazing as a group. I can’t choose which guy I loved over the other because they are just very unique in their own way.

Dark, suspenseful, angst, hot, what more could you as for?
Stella does an amazing job and being you into the world and keeping you on your toes. World building is amazing, plot is on point, and you’ll never get bored.

I loved reading Lethal Vengeance. It follows Quinn who is plotting to avenge her sister's death. Along the way, she meets these four amazing guys; who later becomes her world.

This book contained all the elements I usually crave. Quinn is a badass and even though she's consumed by her darkness; she owns it like the queen she is. The guys- Zane, Sterling, Raider and Cruz (my new book boyfriends) though at first, is suspicious of Quinn, later supports and helps her get her vengeance.

I've been trying to find a reverse harem book which is not a series and Stella Brie's Lethal Vengeance delivered it.

Stella Brie has drawn me into her books. This story was fantastic! I will say to please check the trigger warnings before you read. I loved the plot of this book and it is an amazing plot. This is a Why Choose book and can be read as a standalone or after the Savage series. I personally read it as a standalone as this is my first read for Stella Brie. She didn't disappoint me. I was so invested in this story and felt that the more you read the more you wanted more of. I highly recommend this author and her books. I definitely recommend this book!

I love this book so much I read it twice. I feel for Cruz in Stella Brie's Savage Duet and was really excited when I heard he and his team were getting their own book. I was not disappointed. In fact this is her best book yet. The characters are solid and engaging. The chemistry is thick, steamy, and blazing hot. I may have been lured in by Cruz but Raider, Zane, and Sterling quickly drew me in. Quinn is fascinating. Her life has been shaped by circumstances that would have broken the average person. She used the trauma to create a self that could deal with the darkness left behind.

I am so obsessed with this story!!

Lethal Vengeance is a contemporary standalone reverse harem.

Stella Brie knocked it outta the park with this one!!!

Quinn is such a baddie!!! She has been thru so much and will do anything to get her revenge. And the guys!!!! I loved them all! Cruz, Raider, Zane and Sterling were all dreamy and I loved the push and pull between them and Quinn. The action in this book is freaking epic and the spice is HOT!

I loved this book so much and I can't wait for Henleys story!!

This was my first book by Stella Brie. To say that I was impressed was an understatement. I absolutely love a strong FMC and this book provided that 100%. She was so strong and overall a bada$$. Vengeance is the name of the game for sure. I just loved Quinn. She has been through a lot and she overcomes a lot. There are four strong men that I absolutely fell in love with. Their loyalty... I just loved it. Everyone came to the story with their own set off issues. The plot was great! I think that the character development was on point. Overall I 10/10 suggest that you go pick this one up ASAP!

This is the first book I’ve read by Stella. To say that I was completely hooked from the very beginning is an understatement. This book was dark. Raw, emotional and kept you in the edge of your seat the whole way until the end. Quinn is a complete badass and someone I’d love to have in my corner. But she’s on a mission, seeking revenge for these responsible tor her sister Sophia’s death. And she holds nothing back. With Julio dead, she’s got no other choice than to work for Armando to get close enough to finish the job. But working for the cartel and trafficking poses a problem far bigger than just Quinn can handle. So she contracts the Santos Foundation for help. Though they have reservations at first, it turns into something Quinn, Zane, Raider, Sterling and Cruz never imagined. I loved all 4 of these guys. The twists and turns kept coming one after another and I was shocked at some of the revelations. Full of suspense, thrill, danger, violence, revenge, mystery, tension, angst, emotions, twists and turns, inner demons, trauma, spice, love and so much more in this dark, why choose thriller. Can’t wait to read more from Stella.

Bad A** FMC who will stop at nothing to avenge her sister? Yep, Quinn is amazing. She is rough, dark, and dangerous. She is smart and can take care of herself. I love getting to know the guys from The Savages Series more in this. Cruz, Sterling, Zane, and Raider peeked my interesting when helping Henley - and I’m so happy we got to learn more about them. This is a great story with an amazing arc for our FMC. I’m sad it is only a standalone! So good. Cheers to strong women.

Vengeance is hers

A fantastic book about vengeance and family. The writing is superb and characters are incredibly well written with lots of emotional development. I loved that the guys let Quinn have her moments of revenge and didn't try to take it from her. Quinn is such a strong fmc who has done some very bad things to get to her revenge, but the guys don't try to change her. I read this as a standalone, but I now need to go back and read Henley's story.

not my favorite

I hate to admit it, but I just couldn’t love it. I LOVE the authors other work, but just can’t get behind this one. It is very dark (which was a warning at the beginning, so I was aware). The story line needed some editing and at times I was so confused. There were other parts that I was just like no effing way- especially with Gabriel. Also, you also can’t just drop off organs at a hospital…

Interesting!

Ok. I haven't read a book like this in a long time. I usually stick to Paranormal RH books. This took me by surprise. It was a little slow at times, but was also hard to put down. I WANTED to finish it. To see what happened next. At times I wasn't sure if there'd be a HEA, but I'm glad it had the twists and turns it did. If you need a break from PNR/RH. I'd recommend this book.
