This was an easy simple read on the Mediterranean diet. Some of the recipes had some weird words or phrases (i.e fixings) or unclear directions (ex: the blackberry granita says to put in fridge, but then mentions freezing which is alternated with chilled). Also, quite a few of the colored pictures had elements pictured that were not in the recipe. I was also disappointed that many of the desserts used stevia. While stevia is a natural alternative sweetener, for many people it can cause digestive issues, and for those who suffer from migraines it can trigger migraines as well. I am not expecting to find dessert recipes laden with sugar and fat, but the overwhelming usage of stevia in the desserts is disheartening for someone like me who had medical concerns around eating stevia. Also, there was a lot of red onion usage which is the strongest onion, and for people like myself who have onion as a trigger for migraines, as well as being very sensitive to it, it was disappointing to see red onions used so much when I have read other Mediterranean diet books that do not use red onion nearly as much. Overall, I thought there were some good recipes that I am excited to try.

Great recipes, I wish the recipes had more information where to find certain foods, sauces, etc. The origin of the recipe would be nice to know as well.
