Rate this book
Children's version of the award winning Taming of the Tiger. Tony Anthony's childhood comes to a sudden end when he is taken to far-off China to learn from a grand master of Kung-Fu - his grandfather. Tony's extraordinary upbringing is only the beginning. He goes on to experience adventure and danger as a bodyguard to some of the world's most powerful men. Life is exciting - until there's an unexpected tragedy and everything seems to go wrong. Stuck inside a rat-infested and violent prison, Tony wonders if life's still worth living. Until a stranger comes to visit him... This is an action-packed, compelling true story that is more amazing than fiction.

I first heard about Tony Anthony when he was a guest on the 100 Huntley Street TV program. His story is mind-blowing, and I really enjoyed reading this book. I would like to read the adult edition sometime, but I can tell you that his story in this one is beautifully and powerfully told, and it's very easy to read. The grace of God shines through every word.

This book is insane, I loved it. Punching buckets of sand, petting a wild tiger... Tony Tony is bold as heck presenting this story as factual and for that I gotta give him 5 stars!!!

Okay, this book was fascinating on so many levels. The torture this man went through when he was just 4 b/c his Chinese Grandad was a Kung Fu Grand Master and so was training him how to become one. And then how he came to have a relationship with Christ was awesome.

This book was astounding. I was hooked on this, partly because it's a true story, and partly because I've actually met Tony Anthony. He came to my school to do a talk and I found the whole experience eye opening and exhilarating. Definitely recommendable.
