The author has outdone herself yet again in this amazing book with our main characters Alex Hunt and her husband Sam Quinn. The premise of the book is wonderfully fleshed out, meticulously researched and artfully weaves history and fiction into a deliciously plausible tale. I can’t wait to see where the next adventure will take us!

Thank you to the author who provided me with an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

No.6 already, I cant believe we are on the sixth adventure and what action packed adrenaline fuelled adventure it is.
Starting off way back in time. We travel to Crete and Jerusalem whilst our protagonists search for a ring that could be linked to the crucifixion of Christ, all the time dodging assassination attempts and multiple close calls. This book book will keep you turning the pages until there are no more, leaving wanting more.

A very interesting look into old Jerusalem. Think 32 AD and what was happening about then. Jump into present-day Jerusalem. What do two Jewish college students from Australia have to do with an antiquity from that ancient time? Why has one of the two wound up dead? Follow along as Matt Taylor and his crack team with Australian Intelligence (ASIO), with help from a couple of old friends, (You guessed it: Alex Hunt and Dr. Sam Quinn), start a harrowing search for the second Aussie student. Bad guys all around, including the local police. Secret codes to break, scary tunnels to traverse, wild sprints and rides - all the usual for Alex and Sam! You'll love this one!

“The Caiaphas Code” already the six adventure of Alex Hunt and Sam Quinn, who have come a long way both in their working partnerships and personal relationship. This time they are asked by their friend and co-worker to come to Jerusalem to look into the disappearance of an Australian tourist after his friend and travel companion turns out dead. The murder hides a much darker conspiracy with ramifications that go all the way back to biblical times.

From the very first chapter set in the year 33 A.D. and relating the role played by Caiaphas (and his seal-rings) on the events that eventually led to the crucifixion on Jesus, the book becomes as page-turner that keeps the reader wondering how the story will develop. Fast forward to today’s Jerusalem where Alex, Sam and Matt are invested into solving the riddle surrounding the attack on the Australian tourist while searching for Caiaphas lost seal ring. The search brings them to Crete (Caiaphas final rest place), dodging close-call assassination attempts while following the clues to solve the crime as the story develops into a thrilling tale of hunger for power, betrayal, hope, and faith, and a veritable page-turner until the very last sentence in the very last page 😊 and an extra gift for those of us who enjoy getting the facts behind the fiction, and well as the ones curious enough to know in the form of a extended bibliography.

True to her writing style Urcelia Teixeira interweaves actual historical facts and fast-paced action into one of the top adventure thriller series of the moment. With carefully curated historical data, a very good constructed plot, two of the most interested main characters in the genre - the duo Alex-Sam works perfectly together, fused into a multifaceted über-main-character, completing each other and adding a new layer to the story – and an extraordinary crisp, rapid and fluid writing style Teixeira’s books are a must read for all fans of page-turner adventure thrillers, looking for a intelligent story based in historical facts.

This is one of the best installments in an already amazing series, the plot is highly interesting and, despite dealing with events that are closely linked to the history of Christianity, will appeal to readers of very different philosophical backgrounds. It can also easily be read as a stand-alone, knowledge of Alex & Sam previous adventures put some of the interactions into perspective but is by no means necessary to enjoy the book… and seriously now 😉... be warned once you get to meet Alex Hunt and Sam Quinn you would never have enough.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ ARC PROVIDED FOR AN HONEST REVIEW ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Thank you Urcelia for the opportunity of reading this book as an ARC.

This is my first time reading this author and I have to say, I was hesitant as this is book six in a series - I was hoping to read the others first, but time got away from me and before I knew it, the email arrived to read and review. (Even though all can be read as stand-alone books)

WOW.....WOW.....WOW.....

I can honestly say I was blown away from start to finish with this book, it kept me entranced throughout and towards the ending, I stayed awake flipping pages as quickly as I could, till the early morning JUST to finish it.... knowing I had to get up in a few hours for work.

The knowledge and history that has been researched to be included in this book even had me googling some bits just to get a visual on who Urcelia is talking about, phenomenal work 🙌🙌🙌

I will be going back to the start of the series, so that I can get better acquainted with Alex Hunt and her friends.... and that there is mention of Australia also ticks a few boxes 🤗🤗

Thank you again for letting me be apart of your BETA Team for this read

Wow. A fast paced, action filled thriller. I received this book as an ARC from the author and loved it. I have read all the others in the series and this was my favorite so far.
The story starts off with a boy being chased by some bad guys who have killed his friend in Jerusalem and when a team is brought in to help the police discover what the mysterious symbol is on the dead boy's arm they call on Alex Hunt and her husband, Sam Quinn. Alex and Sam aid their friend Matt and his team in locating the boy and the adventure begins. They get caught up figuring out the symbol and what it leads to. The search for the answers takes them to Crete and back and several times their lives are at stake and they both almost die. Sam is really good at helping with all the biblical references because of his upbringing. Alex is just plain a badass and is good at taking down the bad guys and standing up to danger. Matt's 2 associates, are good at looking up relevant information and anything to do with the world of computers. They aid in surveillance, directions, and give other assistance.
The symbol is an impression from a ring a high priest from the 1st Century would wear. This particular priest had a lot to do with the death of Jesus and they believe it leads to a treasure that he had hidden. Love all the references to ancient times and descriptions of myths and artifacts. The team feels like they are always a little behind at the beginning and come to find out their movements have been tracked by a traitor. They also find out that several groups are all searching for the same thing which complicates matters for them. They are persistent and resilient.
A definite thrill ride.

titular sentence:
p137: "An ad to find the Caiaphas code," Red read out.

plot:
p42: Red's so-called 'entertainment' involved a short circuit with several traffic lights that caused a massive traffic jam and several fender benders.

semantics:
p92: As his arm reached up, Sam spotted the black handle of a gun just about visible on his hip from under his jacket.

p129: When another few bullets fired at them in quick succession she turned and set eyes on a fast-approaching black dune buggy.

punctuation marks:
p105: "...You name it and I'll have it for you before you can say trafficking takedown'."

Still sports awfully long paragraphs, among others. I suppose that's going to be the norm.

Another amazing book with our main characters Alex Hunt and her husband Sam Quinn. This book takes place in Jerusalem. Two twenty two year old boys find something when they are out on a sight seeing tour in Jerusalem. They have no idea the plans they have set in motion. FBI agent Matt is suddenly on the case and he calls antiquities experts Alex and Sam in to help him. This story has so much interesting information about the bible and history, I really enjoyed it even though I know parts of it are fiction. You get the usual suspense, action and mystery. There is also the beautiful romance between Alex and Sam it becomes so evident when they get into dangerous situations. I really enjoyed this book and I'm so glad that I read it. I'm looking forward to reading more books by this author.
I received a free download of this book from the publisher. This review is my own honest opinion.

What I thought about this book:

• I LOVED that the plot was based on the High Priest Caiaphas. This topic was interesting and well researched. I was hooked on the story right from the beginning.

• Caiaphas is a High Priest from the New Testament. Because of that fact, there was religiousness to this story with the characters being at different levels of belief. Nothing was preachy or judgemental. Nothing was geared to one denomination. This was excellently done.

• This mystery was fast paced and the author's writing style puts you right in the middle of the scenery and action. I could imagine myself in historic Israel.

• I was surprised by the ending to this story. It was unexpected and I like surprises.

• It is great that an author is willing to write clean stories these days.

I really enjoyed this adventure! I can't wait to read another Alex Hunt mystery. If you like to read about archeology, history, mystery, and adventure, you will enjoy this novel.

I received an advance copy of this book. My review was voluntarily given and my opinions were my own.

Like The DaVinci Code, a murder kicked off this fantastic thriller. The pace just keeps ratcheting up from there! Set in Jerusalem, an ancient artifact is found which is a factor in the murder. A small FBI team is brought in to investigate the murder and collaborate with the local team. When it involves an archeological artifact, Matt, the FBI agent requests Alex Hunt, archeologist, and her husband, Sam, a physician, to help out. Indiana Jones meets The DaVinci Code! Not wanting to say anything that spoils the readers' enjoyment of the book, I must say that it is well researched, well written, with great characters and believable situations.

This book moved quickly and deserved the sleep I lost in reading it to the finish!

I reviewed an Advance Readers Copy of the book, but I believe that my review is reflective of the final published version of the book. Enjoy!

Thank you Urcelia for the ARC. I feel privileged. The Caiphas Code is another intriguing page turner which had me enthralled. The author's painstaking research into ancient artifacts adds authenticity to her adventure thrillers. The protagonists Sam and Alex are thrown into a death defying situation when they investigate the death of two students who accidentally came into possession of an ancient relic of great value. Urcelia is one of the best authors in the adventure thriller genre and I recommend all her books.

Join Matt, Alex and team in an adventure that takes you from 33 AD Jerusalem-the death of Jesus-to
modern day Israel. Caiaphus was a high priest who decreed Jesus' death. Later, filled with remorse,
Caiaphus travels to Crete where he dies a lonely man. Left behind are two rings that are being sought after for prize collections. Lies, murder and betrayal follow Matt and Alex as they try to bring the two rings together. It's an expert story of history at its lowest point. An adventure well crafted and beautifully written, Ms. Teixiera never fails to entertain and enlighten us. She is a top-notch author in a very competitive world. I was given this book for review. This is my honest opinion.

The Caiaphas code. Urcelia Teixeira

An ancient artifact is discovered by two Australian students in Jerusalem. It dates all the way back to the death of Jesus and the corrupt priest that led to his capture and death. It's value, history and place in history is of immense value. One of the students is captured and killed the other named Luke is now on the run for his life. Archeologist expert A!ex and her husband Sam are drawn into the case by a connection of theirs in Jerusalem. The police are also investigating. The problem is one of them is corrupt and is willing and will kill anyone in his way to recover the artifact. Alex and Sam locate Luke. Now all three of their lives are in peril. Non stop action from the first to last page!! Alex and Sam manage to survive by their pure wits and survival skills. Pursuers are relentless. This is an excellent read which I highly recommend for readers of all ages!! A surprise ending, which I will not divulge. Enjoyed immensely!!!

This book is a quick easy read. There is constant action with almost too little extraneous information to flesh out the main characters' motivations and thoughts. That being said, it was a thoroughly enjoyable, hard to put down, reading experience.

4.5 Stars Fast Engaging Adventure

This was a solid engaging read. This is a bare bare bones no filler read. Every word advanced the story. Unlike other writing in this genre, where you get 200 pages of filler, this was a lean quick well-written entertaining adventure.

The Caiphas Code

Alex never stop when it comes to thrill filled adventures after finding the best treasures in the world. With Sam a main stay and yes husband in here life. With her gritty stubbornness will to find the conclusion to every quest she starts, this one seems to be her hardest yet. I loved it!!! With the background of the plot this may not be the best for the orthodox Jewish people to read. But having said that, it's a great one though.

A great story that just never stops. Alex and Sam work on solving the Code and following a trail of clues that it leads them on, somehow staying alive even if Sam feels they have a bit of divine help. Murder, Mystery and Historical Intrigue. What more do you want? The author has advanced a lot in this book, waiting to see where she takes us next.

Received an ARC from author for an honest review

This is my honest review....
Absolutely amazing.
Alex Hunt is the female version on Indian Jones...non stop action and adventure.
I'm not one to give away any of the book because I believe that ruins a book for the next reader
You can see that the author does a lot of research into her books to make it one of the best fiction close to reality books.
If you love books with a lot of action, adventure and intrigue then this series is for you. While you don't have to read the books in order I would suggest it. The past books gives you more insight into Alex and Sam....
I was extremely happy with how the book ended and I'm hoping we will be seeing more of Alex and Sam!
Thank you Urcelia Teixeira for allowing me to read an early digital copy of this book....it was absolutely amazing

I think this is one of the best of the Alex Hunt series. I very much like that there is factual historical research included in the story. Alex and Sam are called in to help an old friend find 2 lost college boys. They do find the boys, however for one it was too late and the other is missing. One of the boys has been murdered. Why? They try to track the other boy and find he is being held by a group of men at a construction site. They bargain with the men and retrieve the boy. They find out the boys had picked up a ring at a graveyard while on a tour. The police arrive and take the boy, then he suddenly dies while in police custody, is he killed while in custody?? The ring is an ancient Jewish relic, the ring belonged to the priest that was responsible for the death of Jesus. It is a complicated and dangerous trail to find out why someone needs to kill two young men for the ring. The ring is the secret to the find of the century. Police involvement, an arms dealer, and an antiquity theft ring, these are all involved and Alex and Sam must unravel the mess, and survive because Alex has something she must tell Sam sooner than later. Eagerly awaiting the next episode of Sam and Alex.

Another Great Adventure with Alex and Sam!

The adventure starts with two English students on holiday in Jerusalem finding an old ring in a field, that they have no idea of its significance and make the deadly mistake of saying something about it to the wrong person.

Alex and Sam have been requested to help with some markings found on the arm of a murdered English student that had been in Jerusalem on holiday.

As they dig into the mystery surrounding their findings on this case the plot thickens. The ring had belonged to the High Priest Caiaphas, and the forces that want the ring for his treasure they think it will lead them to, will murder anyone to obtain it.

The mystery of Caiaphas and his penitent keepsakes, the two souvenirs he had secretly kept, must be decoded for the mystery to solved, in order to catch the killers.

This story has many twists and turns as the mystery unfolds. Enjoy the adventure as you tag along. I think you will really enjoy this book, I know I did!!

Urcelia Teixeira continues her Alex Hunt series with another action packed winner. This one opens with some biblical background about the High Priest Caiaphas to set the stage for the story that follows. The action starts in modern day Jerusalem where some young travellers from Down Under find an artifact. Then the wild run with plenty of twists & turns commences. Alex & Sam are called in to help decipher the artifact & it's meaning. The action moves from Jerusalem to the Greek Isles & back. There's police involvement ... but whose side are they on? Gun smuggling; artifacts could be hidden. All in all, a good read. I recommend it!
