Timmeron:
For over 800 years, I’ve embraced life and opposed all who deny it, so joining DUO was an easy choice.
Even easier, since I was already running from a secret left long behind in the elven realm. I haven’t shared it with anyone, especially my human dualcaster partner.
She thinks I’m pure goodness, and I don’t have the courage to tell her the truth.
To be honest, I don’t have the courage to tell her a lot of things.
Our dualcasting partnership – and our lives – depends on my secrets staying just that.
Val:
I learned all about the necromantic arts, but I refuse to mess with zombies, because gross.
I also won’t read minds. Been there, done that, got the scars to prove it.
I’ll happily dispatch anyone trying to destroy the world. But work with a hippy dippy wood elf? My Magic 8 Ball says “Not for all the jalapeño chips in the world” (and I LOVE jalapeño chips).
Unfortunately, I’m stuck with the tree-hugging, long-eared lug, so I’ve got to figure out how to make this work.
And soon, too — completing our latest assignment demands we trust each other like never before.

The 3rd series in the DUOcasters universe!
Valencia is a Necromancer, Timmeron's a Wood Elf! They've been a DUO for a year now, and their different pasts are catching up to them fast!

Intriguing, exciting and very enjoyable story!!!!!
Congratulations to Scott Walker for this book in this amazing series. It’s extremely hard to find such an interesting and exciting author who not only writes intelligently but also provides top rated plots, characters and excitement in the stories.

This was an entertaining story
I enjoyed the two main characters and the dynamic between each other. The story moved right along and was fast paced and humorous. I look forward to reading more about Val and Tim

Cloak and Dagger definitely lives up to the promise made by it's author.
This is a wonderful partnership, of two totally opposite magic users, who aren't quite sure of each other, despite working together for a while.
But part of this, is because they are both hoarding secrets. Secrets that they feel will make their partner feel disgusted with them.
It takes them being on the brink of death, though, before they can learn to truly trust each other!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
It fits in beautifully with the other DUO books that were released before this one.
I'm really hoping that there'll be another one, or two, or more, published soon, by Scott Walker!
I really want to know how Timmeron and Valencia will get on, now that most of their trust issues are solved - and with Timmeron having been totally healed by Val's actions!
I really loved the fact of Timmeron having a pet plant - it'll be interesting to see how he'll use Vinnie in future stories and, as far as Val is concerned, I'm hoping that her friendly ghost, Levi, will appear again - and that she can confess her secret to him, at last!
I have to admit, my favourite side character, hands down, has got to be Bogromath! Now, there's a demon with a sense of humour!
Sadly, I'll have to wait a little while for the next DUO book to be published so, until then, I'm going to catch up on some of the hundreds of unread books, all from the same Publishing Company, that I now have stored on my Kindle! Lol
I think the next book in line, will have to be Craig Martelle, and Michael Anderle's last book - that's book 18, so far - in the Judge, Jury, and Executioner series: The Mob!
I love this series sooooo much, so can't wait to see what's going on in this latest story.
So, I'm off again now, and I'll catch you on the flip side, once I finish this next book.
PS: Scott, I really hope that your keyboard is smoking, from all the words that you're producing, for book two of your next DUO book? Lol
