Learning Our Limits: It Started with a Shave by Lisette Monroe: Tori and Derek decide to do something out of the ordinary. Tori, his wife, finds it an exciting turn-on. This incident sets their feet on a path toward a Female control relationship. This book reminds me of a primer on moving into the-life. Unless you have someone to instruct your relationship there is experiment and error. As they move along their desires and needs change. There are no heavy BDSM scenes. It is a book of communication of wants. There is much care given and thoughtfulness. If you are learning this one is excellent. My one problem is the houseboy/sub/slave takes on some roles and has actions that belong to the Mistress/Goddess whatever your term would be. Because of inexperience, she lets it get away with this. The three stars are where the book is for me. If a beginner picks this one up it could be a 5 star.

Written in a series of alternating first-person narratives by the two characters, this lovely piece of erotica traces the evolution of a D/s dynamic between Tori and Derek, a young married couple who initially stumble upon a shared interest in kink and then, collaboratively, explore and develop that interest until it becomes the core structure of how their relationship functions. Save for a few proofreading "misses", the writing is excellent, and the author outstandingly paints mental pictures that conveys the inner thoughts, feelings, motivations, and experiences of the characters whilst simultaneously vividly describing the actions of a scene, making it pop in a visceral way. For anyone interested in Femdom D/s and all manner of activities related thereto, this is a delightful and thoroughly enjoyable read!

More please!

I almost didn’t buy this, but the different style cover and odd title made me curious, and I’m glad curiosity won out! This is one of the better femdom stories in my opinion. It has a split narrative that I liked. Nice to hear both sides as they ascend into a true femdom relationship. The story is well written and despite a smattering of typos was truly enjoyable. The inner monologues of Derek and Tori ring true and the sex scenes are hot! My only complaint is this seems to be the only book by Ms. Monroe, and if that’s the case it’s truly a shame. I’d love to read more from her!

Derek and Tori wanted to spice up their sex lives.What started out as mild denial soon moved to bondage,chatisty and dressing as a maid.The story could have been enhanced by more discipline and feminization of Derek.
